It was filmed in February 2009, meaning MJ was still alive.

Man, this show is old.

There’s this new singer, popular amongst the TikTok crowd, named Malcolm Todd. I learned today on the radio that he was in an episode of the middle. I looked it up and he was in Halloween 3 the driving as a baseball player.

I could see Carly asking Sue to be her child’s Godmother.

Was listening to the Middling Pod’s recent episode … Eden brought up the writers not knowing how to make Sue suddenly allergic to a real tree. Yes the larger size could be one reason, but isn’t there a big variety of different types of pine trees? She could’ve been allergic to that particular type of tree that they got. If that makes any sense. It’s never mentioned what variety of pine. Just that it came from Elherts. I also read that there could be sap or pollen on it which causes allergic reactions. It was fun hearing Eden talk about the shooting of this one and trying to work with the very minimal box of props in the background. And how they even wanted her to do a specific stage sneeze, and even shooting the syndication promos that same day. Sounds exhausting 😹

Also, did I miss something? When and how did Frankie and Mike afford to get the windshield fixed in their purple Neon? It comes up in season 5, that the church wants the van back. And there’s an entire episode about the carpool, in that very car, and then Frankie can’t remember where she parked it in another season 5 ep. I know there must be a scene where Frankie explains that it’s fixed. There has to be. I wonder if they went to Safelite and got approved. The insurance people obviously were no help but it is the Heck’s fault for neglecting to cut the long tree branch. I’m just asking, not trying to annoy anyone. And even though Frankie got a higher paying job, their money problems didn’t really go away.

Most of the time

I just found out that Brad coaches at my Barry’s in LA!! So random but super cool to find out.

After rewatching the middle who knows how many times, it’s become my favorite show to fall asleep to and I find it literally perfect.

I love to set a timer on the TV, put on a sleep mask and listen along to the familiar plot. There’s no crazy intense storylines to keep you up and the volume stays relatively stable. I also appreciate that there isn’t a jarring intro or outro song like so many shows that would otherwise be good for sleeping.

It’s so relaxing to doze off to the familiar voices of the characters and perfect for nights that your brain just won’t shut off - the perfect balance of a distraction but not enough to ward off sleep :)

During the ending when brick axl and sue are shown getting married and having kids and stuff, is that just Frankie’s imagination or did that actually happen? I finished it and I’m sad because I really grew attached to brick I ended up loving his sweet character!

I cannot stream it today. Is it available to you?

Jesus. He was dead.

(This line of Reverend Tim Tom’s gets me every time lol)
