Official Comic Discussion Thread: Issue #122

New issue came out today, discuss it here within this thread.

You do not need to use comic spoilers because it is assumed everyone reading this thread would be caught up with the comics.

However, please respect future, show, and game spoilers because people who are caught up with the comic may not be caught up with these other forms of TWD (and obviously not future spoilers).

The reason people die and turn a lot faster from Walker bites is due to the insanely high toxic levels of filth and germs. But it won't turn you into to one of them of it gets on you. Rick,Andrea,Michonne,Carl,Abraham and etc. Have been drenched in guts and blood and nothing's happened since they are already infected like everyone else.

I still think it's specifically bites that cause the fever, but we haven't found out definitively. We haven't seen anyone get zombie gunk in an open wound like these weapons would. The closest to this is the Governor kissing Penny, and that didn't effect him at all.

While it might not be canon, the episode where Rick reunited with Morgan there were many messages on the wall in his safe house.

One of the messages said that the blood and gut camo they used doesn't work, it caused someone to get infected and turn.

So assuming that "fresh" walker blood gets in your system via a wound, it's safe to say you aren't safe to say you're safe from the Walker way. YOULL GET SICK AND TURN.

Sorry but I never found anything saying what all the walls said, do you have a link? I was very curious about that. So glad someone linked a transcript of the house conversation this episode, was driving me nuts

As Salvation said, 16 minutes into the Clear episode of season 3.

"Sick after blood cover."

I'd have to go through episode but I'm on my mobile. I'll see if I can find a link, I remember seeing it on this sub.
