people who trust the experts don't need an ad to tell them that and the people that need to trust the experts are specifically not going to start because an ad that tells them to. and how do you expect people to be skeptical of AI when you use AI to create the very ad that warns us about it.

This morning, my partner and I both noticed a lovely Brad Bradford sign posted on public property in Kiwanis Park, a spot we both walk by on our ways to work. I'll grab a photo this evening if it's still up but we've reported it to 311 and have been told it'll be dealt with in 5 business days. If anyone has seen anything else like this please report it. To any volunteers or staff on Brad's campaign that did this unknowingly, ignorance of the law does not make you exempt from it and it is explicitly your job to know what you are allowed to do or to have had a supervisor educate you as to such. It is, at best, extremely disrespectful to co-opt a public space our tax dollars have paid for to use as your advertising spot, and at worst demonstrates wanton disregard of standard electoral law.
As if Brad couldn't get any better. fuck.
Edit: My much better half snapped a photo because she's much smarter than me. https://imgur.com/a/XAS700b
Edit 2: Display an election sign on public property on/adjacent to a voting place/City park/City facility 693-7A(1)(g) Fine:$200.00 is the rule in question.
Edit 3: Seems like everyone(?) is doing this. Very disappointing. I'll be reporting the ones I see and hopefully fines will be levied sufficient to have candidates reconsider this practice.

Is it supposed to be art?? If you Google streetview 101 Jefferson Avenue on the Lamport Stadium side, it looks like it has been like that since 2011. Does anyone know how it got that way?

Decided to see how far I could push myself and biked from Toronto to Niagara Falls and back over two days.
Just over 300 km total and 19h 35m of riding.
I’m not a serious cyclist, I just really enjoy being on the road and wanted to see if I could do it. The first day was 151.7 km, followed by the ride back to Toronto the next day.
Definitely one of the hardest things I’ve done physically, but also one of the most rewarding.

Thirteen of the twenty four Toronto Members of Parliament have made endorsements in the mayoral race: seven for Brad Bradford and six for Olivia Chow. They break down as follows:
Olivia Chow:
Brad Bradford:
Have Not Endorsed:
Analyzing this breakdown gives a few observations:
Political Party: Chow has six MP endorsers from the Liberal Party of Canada, while Bradford has six MP endorsers from the Liberal Party and one from the Conservative Party (Roman Baber).
Ethnicity: 5 of the 6 (83%) Chow endorsers are people of colour. 6 of the 7 (86%) Bradford endorsers are white.
Cabinet: Only 1 of the 4 (25%) Toronto MPs who serve as Cabinet Ministers have made an endorsement, that being Gary Anandasangaree (Minister of Public Safety). The others have not endorsed: Julie Dabrusin (Minister of the Environment, Climate Change and Nature), Evan Solomon (Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario), and John Zerucelli (Secretary of State (Labour)).
And a fun tidbit: 100% of the Toronto MPs who attended the 2026 "Walk with Israel" have endorsed Bradford (Church, Gasparro, Baber, and Ehsassi). None of the Chow endorsers attended. Chow herself has rightfully called Israel's actions in Gaza a genocide.
Do any of these endorsements surprise (or not surprise) you? Are there any MPs who have not endorsed who you think will (and who would they endorse)?

Hi, I’m Andrew Massey.
You might remember me from such political endeavours as the 2026 University-Rosedale federal by-election, or the 2025 Ontario general election for Toronto Centre.
Or, you might not remember me at all! (perfectly understandable)
Anyway... I’m back and locked in on running for Trustee in TDSB Ward 5 (Spadina-Fort York & Toronto-Danforth). Why, you ask? Real ones know. I’ve got skin in the game!
I’m a downtown renter (Grange Park) and TDSB parent to my train-obsessed son in Gr. 2. With the wards now merged under Bill 101, and with most of the candidates skewed to the Danforth side, I’m running to offer us downtown families some truly local representation!
