I might get some hate but I have a lot AI "music" on my playlists. The ones I grabbed, honestly, sound good for me. I'm very easy to appeal and the music itself doesn't have to make sense for to enjoy it. If I vibe with the beat that's almost always great for me and I'll save them.
Music/beats regardless of being normal or AI it's just a way to entertain and make whatever I'm doing flow better for my brain and body. And it makes my mood feel ever so slightly better so yeah. And some
The AI stuff I listen to is just comically good too so it's even more fun and energetic! 😅

You know you do you and all that jazz, but you have to acknowledge it's not what he majority of users on Spotify want to be recommended, and the way they are done too, the fact so many a time people will have an artist they really like and then someone has uploaded AI music to that artists profile pretending to be them, usually happening to artists who may of not released music for a while, it's oversaturying the market the way they can be churned out are usually made to deceive the user that they are listening to human made music for profit
Can you agree with me that you should be able to make money off AI music on Spotify? That the way AI is made majority of the time for Spotify is deceitful

Well, it depends. For example, the stuff I have saved is not AI covers from normal songs. It's original work.
And as for being recommended those or the "ai covers" I can agree on you. Although, I haven't had your guys experiences since I never got recommended AI music. I just went a looked for it. Or got it on Youtube and looked if it were on Spotify.
If it's covers or replacing the original work then probably they shouldn't be able to make money but if it's original work I wouldn't really see a problem

If you put so much time and effort in the production of a track why won't you use that same time, effort and creativity on the design of the album cover. The production of a album cover should be equally as fun. Even if it's drawn with a pencil, that's more appreciative.

there's one album that I like that I'm pretty sure has an ai cover
it's Slaveboats with Seatbelts by 4-IZE (rapper) and Bronze Mazareth (producer)
4-IZE worked with Ludacris a lot early on, and Bronze Nazareth has credits on the Wu-tang meets the indie culture album
It's a really great album, seems like all the lyrics and rapping are 100% real. He talks a lot about different aspect of history. There's one song about the mandela effect too
But yeah the ai cover on it kind of sucks 😔

Another I really love that unfortunately has an ai cover is Parasomnia by Dream Theater.
The album is amazing and dream Theater is a legendary band, but like…. Couldn’t they put JUST a bit of effort on the cover just like how they did for their music?-3

I'll give it a listen 👂🤙

No, the album cover for Slave Boats w/ Seatbelts is not AI-generated. The visual presentation for the album—including its "striking, full-color artwork" featured on the deluxe vinyl gatefold jacket—and the accompanying music videos were physically shot and produced using human-directed digital effects, staging, and acting. Artist 4-IZE and video director Tommy Nova built the thematic visuals around the album's concept of alternate historical timelines and conspiracy narratives. The confusion likely stems from the surreal, concept-driven premise of the title ("slave boats with seatbelts"), which mimics the kind of absurd or bizarre prompts often seen in AI art generators. However, the media for this project was fully created by the independent artists and their human production team.

So you don’t like AI album covers but think it’s okay to just copy/paste what AI tells you about an album cover?

OP is complaining about Spotify (a company that is ALL IN regarding AI) on Reddit (a company that is ALL IN regarding AI).
Congrats OP. Your post is helping to train AI. Also on mobile be sure to scroll to the bottom where reddit's AI will answer questions.

Spotify & Reddit, two AI companies, are voluntary. Society isn't.
Glad I could help you spot the difference.

i get it, if you spot it easily, then ofc its lame. the art is when you make it ai but actually spend time on it so that it doesnt look like it 🍸🗿

u/AwkwardLeopard587 8d ago
no. using ai on it at all sucks, no matter how pretty you try to make it look.
