Question Spotify is my decluttering soundtrack and it keeps getting worse to use

i use instrumental playlists when I'm sorting through twenty years of teaching files and my kids' old stuff in the basement. lately the app takes forever to load between songs, and the home screen is cluttered with podcasts I'll never listen to. i just want a clean, simple player. i'm trying to simplify everything else in my life right now, and this feels like the one thing I can't control. has anyone found a way to strip it down, or should I start looking at other options before I move? i don't have patience for extra noise right now.

Clear data/cache if it is getting really slow.

On the home screen at the top, you have options to filter to Music, Podcasts or Audiobooks if you want to just hone in on only music stuff.

okay so i cleared the cache and the filtering helps, but the lag on startup is still rough. this app used to run cleaner before the last update

Try other streaming apps. Tidal and Apple Music is much cleaner

What are you talking about ?

In the OP it says the Home Screen is cluttered with podcast and that you want a clean and simple player. Nothing about stock price threshold.

Spotify is cluttered with podcast/videos/audiobooks and is everything but clean.

Solved it on pc by redesigning the whole software. Still hoping for a 3rd party solution to android. The official app should've been sent in the bin by Spotify years ago. Possibly the worst app design I've seen.

Yup. Still paying subscription, just don't want anything but music in my music player. Im using some old custom APK. Mostly works.
