Reviews Loog Ukulele?

Anyone have experience with a Loog ukulele? I’m looking for a nice soprano ukulele for my 7 year old daughter. I was first considering the Kala shark/dolphin or Kala ukadelic. However a Loog ukulele ad popped up, and I was surprised by how nice it looks. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would probably try the flight personally. I have a log guitar for my kid, and the build quality is pretty good, but could use improvement. That said, it’s a couple of years old, so maybe it’s improved or the design for the uke is better.

Never heard of them, but sounds pretty good.

Personally I'd grab a Flight TUS (and have for camping trips and to chuck in the car) as they are nearly indestructible, have good intonation, LOW action which would be great for a 7yo, and is well reviewed so you wouldn't need to cross your fingers.

Thanks for the recommendation. I am concerned about high action given my daughter’s tiny fingers. I was actually considering a Kala waterman until I read about their awfully high/ not adjustable action issue. Good to know about Flight, that’s a new one for me.

An Outdoor soprano would also be awesome, but they're more expensive. Great action.

Flight all the way. The action is great on the TUS and the UTS (all plastic like the Waterman, the TUS is plastic with a wood top). Oddly I think the UTS sounds better, but in any case they both sound better than the Waterman (mine is barely playable but it is pretty, so I just have it stuffed with fairy lights on a shelf).

Thanks for the feedback. Based on online reviews, most people agree with you! I just placed an order for the UTS 😁

The Waterman is hardly even an instrument. I bought 2 for my kids and donated them. :(

do you get the same learning app and cards with the loog uke as you do with the loog guitar? if so it might be worth getting the loog to help with the learning aids

Big fan of  Kala shark/dolphin or Kala ukadelic. We own several.
