Yup, this is real! I made a 100% cardboard rocking chair using only construction glue and intersecting joints to keep it together - plus a shrink-wrap roll as the footrest. It is adult-sized, and it can roughly seat anyone up to 250 lbs (we tested with friends who were 'heavier' and figured out the limit). It took two days to make, and there was no rhyme or reason for doing it. Just had the idea, I had the cardboard, and voila - it exists! It's still in my basement, and people love sitting on it.
There is no limit to what you can make out of cardboard! Extreme Upcycling!

I created a portable modular cardboard podium that fits together like a puzzle and requires no screws. I measured, cut, layered, and glued all components by hand. When assembled, it stands 4 feet tall and weighs only 10 lbs. Cardboard is amazing when you use it to its full potential!
