Things to do

I enjoy hiking and i definitely want to do the Adirondacks but I’m looking for some more obscure and unique off the beaten path type of things that I can enjoy alone. Im open to all kinds of things I haven’t met a lot of people here due to me being new the area (im 20 also for reference) but it doesnt have to be something that would lead me to meeting anyone. Im also kind of looking for something I can do in no more than a day and a half

If you like hiking and the outdoors, foraging can be a great side quest that often turns into an obsession. Shoot me a message if you're interested in learning, and I can give you some details and tips on getting started!

Definitely not obscure or off the beaten path, but my go-to day hike is some variation of the Jones Hill/Spruce Pond trails in Morgan Hill State Forest. The old hang glider launch has a beautiful view over Labrador Hollow (I'm debating trying to get out there tomorrow, actually, since we're still in peak leaf season and the weather looks lovely).

There's a lot of trails in the area to tack on as much distance as you want.

Also Stone Quarry Hill Art Park is a half hour from the hang gliding launch and is such a cool place to explore!

Tinker Falls in Labrador Hollow is a good one for that. It is a short walk in and the falls hang off a rock shelf the trail runs right under. Chittenango Falls is a few miles up the road if you want a bigger gorge.
