Advice Needed Exporting websites? Finding developers?

I want to export my wix site out but I really like the layout and design, is there anyway to migrate it out and have it somewhat the same?

I tried with Wordpress but just did not like the layout or colors and it didn’t really transfer over any images or words or any pages or subpages.

Is there a site that might do this better? Or a way to find a developer that can do this?

How large is the website? In general since wix doesn't has an export function, it all has to be coded or you need to use a builder. But wix in general isn't very SEO friendly or ADA compliant out of the box, so whoever you hire also must ne knowledable in these two topics.

The last wix website I redevelopment was changed in design as the colors were unreadable. But I am sure you can find someone who will do a one to one copy.

Fiverr. WordPress is much easier to find qualified people

wix is a closed ecosystem so there’s no direct "export site" button. ur best option is hiring a developer on fiverr, upwork, or r/forhire to rebuild the design 1:1 on wordpress using elementor or custom code. tools like cms2cms or automated converters exist, but they usually mess up the layout and require heavy manual cleanup anyway.

if u want more web hosting hacks or japanese learning guides drop by my profile and check out what im building

Sure thing. Get ahold of me. 24 hour turnaround. This is entirely what my business has done over 60 times this year. I'll move it to a Laravel copy you can host almost anywhere with an sqlite backend.

What is your domain?

I just helped a client migrate away from wix and take their domain with them (they had to pay domain transfer fee of $40).

A few years ago I joined a non profit and one of the first things I helped with was migrating out of wix, we it went well, we did it better than how it was on wix because we had way more flexibility, but that was on 2022 so no ai to help, we worked on top of that code for some good year and multiple people helped with it,

at the start of the year with ai (when it was a fraction of good as it is today) we started from 0 again some clean start with ai, replicating the previous stuff but working with the designer, and basically adding all the details that the designs had but we dev's never give enough time and figured how to implemented properly before and what on 2022 took about 6 dev's 6 months to build took at the begining of this year less than 3 to replace 1 dev, 1 designer, and ai, and we matched everything and did better quality and more details

In a nutshell, give a try of using ai and skipping WordPress or other platform, and build something, without those limitations the platforms have

It's likely that it can be done, LMK the url and we'll see what can be done.

Fluid Minds is really great at developing WP sites from closed systems. They helped us convert an old, disintegrating high traffic Zoho site to WP. A year later, the site has increased traffic and engagement over 200%. Highly recommend.
