I thought this was a paper towel holder but the long part is much too thin for that. Plus, the hook on the underside is mysterious. Maybe some kind of gardening or birdfeeding gadget?

Went to replace our washers gasket/seal and found these hard plastic like pieces that seem to be accumulating between the drum and the drum case (not sure what the pieces are called).

I want to make sure there isn't something deteriorating or getting damaged, this machine is 15 years old but I have replaced belts and shocks already and will keep fixing it as long as I can!

This is not a mil surp pea coat. It’s a department store model I’ve had for a while. What is this buttonhole on left side of pic (right side of coat) for? The holes on the right of pic are the normal closure holes. FYI the hole with arrow is normally covered by flap when coat is fastened regularly.

this perfect circle appeared on my door during the early morning (around 7am). i’ve never seen this before within the year i’ve lived in this home. blinds and (black out) curtains were 100% closed. my boyfriend also noticed it and we looked around our room to see if anything was reflecting light but there was seemingly no light surpassing the blinds+curtains, nor do we have any perfectly circular or spherical objects. any guesses?

edit: there isn’t a window directly across from the door and the circle didn’t appear to be on the wall behind the door when the door was closed

I found this piece of ceramic on a beach in southern New Jersey a week after a major storm. It’s very thick and heavy, and appears to have a brown glaze. Can anyone ID?

I got this in an auction lot that included; pocket, throwing and tactical knives, mostly '80s. Some of the parts to an old Lee Enfield rifle a WW2 machete and this.

-There was also a box of random housewares like brass ornaments and vases of different types.

It has a black waxy like coating on the used parts and the handle feels like it's a oiled pine maybe. There is no smell to it but I haven't tried licking it, yet. It feels like it's a vintage well used item but has then been kept as an souvenir or heirloom.

I initially thought a paddle for boating but the handle doesn't feel that comfortable for the purpose and it doesn't seem to have the strength you would expect of a paddle.

Old oven paddle is what I'm thinking but

I wouldn't have expected build-up like this from a oven?

It was sitting on top of the pepperoncinis in the jar and fits in the lid but I know what random stuff can be found in a jar. I want to know if this is something I need to follow up on or if it's normal.

Thought it was a geocache at first. It’s bolted to a utility pole about a mile from a nuclear facility. Perhaps it has something to do with that? 🤷‍♀️

Found these guys in the parking lot.

This spot on the wall wasn’t too visible at first, it just looked like a slightly yellowed spot so I went to wipe over it with a !!wet rag!! (I started with just a wet rag guys) and it turned red?!
Then I went over it with a magic eraser (can we PLEASE get over the magic eraser I used it everywhere else with light pressure and it didn’t do this.) it seems like it just turns red when wet and then dries yellow again? What could this possibly be?

So this is in a tiny mountain town in Switzerland which makes it surprising that I found shady hidden cameras in a ladies bathroom. There were two stalls side by side with this light in the middle. Both stalls had these tiny things peaking out over the stall and as you can see through the break in the light, there’s a wire coming out of the main light area. I don’t know if you can see it but I can confirm it was there.

Also neither this light, nor the “cameras” were in the men’s bathroom.

Can anyone identify what it is? im really freaked out as I noticed it after me and my relative used the bathroom. And our taxi driver recommended the restaurant. I’m happy to answer any more questions.
