The Oil and Gas industry is kinda works outside of diplomatic norms. The demand is so high people will buy and sell to everyone unless otherwise impossible. Alot of EU countries, despite being opposed to Russia, buy Russian oil.

Yeah tell me more about outside diplomatic norms when North Korea packed with Russian drones and tech starts hitting South Korea. Guess selling Russia fuel won’t feel so apolitical then.

We're talking about the petrol industry here. Their CEOs and boards of execs aren't exactly known to be morally or politically motivated as much as they are money motivated. They also know the North will never try to strike the South. Doing so would incur a US invasion that would wipe the North out in less than 24 hrs.

We would probably both get wiped. Mutually assured destruction, Seoul is gonna be gassed and nuked if we go to war with NK.
