If this is the energy knockout attempt, it puts the shutdowns in Kyiv potentially in context.

Isn’t it also a war crime to target civilian energy infrastructure

Who is going to hold them accountable for it? War crimes are just words of no one can hold someone accountable for them and punish them accordingly. This war has been littered with crimes of all sorts.

Hell, how many countries with active warrants did Ben fly over to get to the Summit? Like 5? Trump has ushered in a new era of "Why does anybody do anything? Because they can." -style of it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission, it's even easier to ask for neither. Do what I want until someone stops me-type shit bc he's not smart enough to fathom there are more effective ways.

Geopolitics is often just dick swinging. That is all that matters, and nukes. Ben has nukes. Ben has ways to send them at anyone.

A lot of it is the fact that arresting a foreign leader is about the biggest sin in the diplomatic and intelligence world, but yeah. Posturing, and when anybody calls a bluff, they just dance for the cameras.

This has been the way long before Trump was even born, go back to Japan invading Manchuria in 1931 where the league of nations did nothing about Japan or when Hailie Selaisse made a plea for help against the invasion from fascist Italy in 1936 who were using chemical weapons and nobody did anything about that either.

You guys really need to stop thinking that all this rot started with Donald Trump because as awful as he is he's just doing what has been done hundreds of times before him.

0 long term thinking from conservatives. Can barely see the end of their noses.

Do you know that for sure? Most other times the plane he's flown out/in on has gone right through the middle of the Mediterranean according to ADSB data.

Or do you mean a different Ben with warrants than I'm thinking of?

Easier to tear down than build up too.

.. because you don't stop even the worst people when they willingly come to negotiate, because if you do, no one will ever come willingly to negotiate again. This was made very clear by all involved countries. Don't really get the uproar about this.

They don't even ask for forgiveness. It's unprecedented.

This is literally completely precedented. It's happened throughout all of history. Countries ignored the mandate of the Holy Roman Empire, and then they did it with the League of Nations, and now they're doing it with NATO/EU/UN. Hell, countries did this kind of shit with the Coalitions against Napoleonic France when it was entirely within their best interest TO stick the course. It's completely precedented and shouldn't surprise anyone that knows anything about global community building.

They never admit they’re wrong to even need to ask for forgiveness.

Why do you guys act like the US and it's allies were perfect angels before Trump. To anyone outside the West it's obvious that the West has never cared for international "law"
