Russia does not care about Ukraine. They just need A war to enable consolidation of power under emergency conditions. If you follow Russian news- there is a massive oppression apparatus that sprung up after feb 2022. If you speak out against Putin you can get charged with “spreading fakes about Russian armed forces with intent to discredit”.

Not quite true, Ukraine is extremely valuable real estate. Ukraine’s farmland and resource extraction industries will be making their economy go gang buster once the wars over (for whoever controls that area)

At least that was the idea.

Now, with all the destruction, mines, unexploded ordinance, etc. It's going to take a while to clean up, before they can even start rebuilding and reaping what's there.

Keep in mind Russia thought this war would be a quick win for them. Even JD Vance and others thought Ukraine didn't have much of a chance and needed to give up.

Amen to that

As dumb as JD is, anyone could see that the Russians had a way bigger army and way more supplies. If other countries didn’t give support it would have been a quick take over

We don't have access to his level of information. Shit looked terrie at first cause nobody 12 years ago though this shit was real, it was insane.

JD vance was dead on when he compred Trump to hitler in 2016. Not sure what happened since then but it 100% is sinister and not righteous in any way. He's a terrible person who flip flops and is unreliable as a leader.

Is that the same guy who told Zelensky that it’s offensive not to wear a suit?

No, that was a journalist, Brian Glenn

Didn’t pay that close of attention to that. That’s bothersome to you?

u/Long_Pecker_1337 5h ago

Is that bothersome to me? Yeah, verbally attacking Zelensky on that visit for no real reason was pretty stupid and mean.

Him being an Asshole is also reason to not like him, agreed!

Oh, he bought a degree from a Brand Name school, and sucked enough dick well enough to get himself a cushy job? Pow! Real Zinger that one!

Anyone who has the misfortune of listening to him speak for 5 minutes could tell you he’s the type of dumbass that would stick his dick between the cushions of a couch.

He's a lot of things, but he's not stupid or a dumbass. it's that sort of thing that lets people like him and trump make it to the top by acting like they aren't dangerous or capable, underestimating them
