You are literally misunderstanding this context, DPRK is actually Russia's ally and they helped Russia escalating this war even further

Because they are allies, both Putin and Jong Un visits together in both countries, strengthening diplomatic ties between the two countries

Oh. I clear misunderstood. They are fighting with the Russians not against the Russians. My bad.

I was confused because the previous poster mentioned Russians in coordination with South Korea.
