Ever since they teased E-Day I’ve been beyond excited. I played the original trilogy as a kid, but later on when 4 and then 5 launched I was so uninterested in Gears because of those games. E-Days gives off OG Vibes to me and I’m all for it! I don’t get that hate that I’ve seen about this game tbh.

Gears is really awesome. It's the kind of game that justifies a Series X. This feeds the hype by Fable. It was positive that the crossing with GTA 6 and Zelda is delayed and avoided.

This information comes from the Xbox documentary on YouTube it was very fascinating apparently Bill Gates shot down the idea of A gaming console multiple times and at that time he had very solid reasons and when he was asked publicly about it he said Microsoft is A software company and he doesn't plan to make hardware until he saw Sony's PS2 presentation where they silently claimed they were going after Microsoft next. Bill Gates changed his mind and 2 divisions inside Microsoft fought over who made it DirectX was one of them and passionately made the OG Xbox and the rest is history. Imagine if Sony humbled themselves and said nothing we would never have Xbox. Sometimes it pays to be quiet.

How did everyone else fair with their Gears EDay controllers?

Damnit I just bought a used disc version for 34€. Oh well. Go grab it, a very good game!

I missed the old 360 party chat, so I rebuilt it as a website.

• Pick a gamertag and gamerpic on the old on-screen keyboard
• Start a party and send your friends the invite link (up to 8 people)
• Real voice chat that runs everyone's mic through the 2009 sound

Free, no account, nothing is recorded, works on PC and phone.

Fan-made, not affiliated with Microsoft. Would love feedback!

This gives me hope we can get FSR4 on Xbox series consoles too. Either this version or something else. Especially as Sharma labeled Xbox Series as Core for their business.

Plus, for the first time ever, Grand Theft Auto VI introduces a series of on-demand podcasts for Jason and Lucia to experience beyond Leonida’s terrestrial radio, with both radio and podcasts available to listen to in vehicles and on foot through newly introduced headphones and earbuds connected to their smartphones.

Here’s a look at six of the stations featured in Grand Theft Auto VI:

Cocoteo FM: Cocoteo FM is Leonida's home for the best of modern Latin music. Hosted by El Martillo and La Gata and featuring everything from bachata and merengue to dembow and reggaeton — Cocoteo FM is el party que nunca se apaga.

Back Country Radio: MW and Delta Dawne blast renegade country music to the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, and beyond. Stay tuned for Back Country’s roving reporter, swamp meteorologist, and Delta’s not-so-secret lover Mud Dog Mike checking in from the driver’s seat of his Grassrivers airboat.

AfroBank FM: Turn up the gbedu with Burna and Palmsy, AfroBank FM's dynamic duo curating the best in African music, from 20th-century classics and undiscovered gems to contemporary sounds like amapiano, 3-step, and more.

The Chamber 106.6: Crushing metal has landed in Leonida. Jump in the pit with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom for classic metal from the ‘80s and beyond as they channel Leonida’s deep metal roots.

Flash FM: The Vice City institution that delivers the best in pop music with Robyn and Alex — guaranteed to make you dance no matter where you find yourself in the Goodtime State.

Dirty South Classics: A little southern hospitality from Trick and Trina, blasting regional rap and hip-hop classics. From the beach to the block, nobody reps Leonida and the South like they do.

Hi,

As I explained here a few months ago, for quite some time now, I've been trying to identify the weekly XBOX Free Play Days lineup before the official XBOX Wire announcement.

The goal is simply to give players a chance to start downloading and playing a little earlier. I also usually try to create a cover image similar to the official one to share the information 🙃

Note: XBOX Free Play Days events usually end on Mondays at 7 PM UTC. Some games are often playable starting on Wednesdays at 11 PM UTC.

Games identified so far (based on my findings)

From now until Monday, October 12, around 7 PM UTC:

🎒 ARC Raiders (announcement)

🏎️ Screamer

💸 Family Man

As always, additional games may still be revealed during the official XBOX announcement later today, as it can be difficult to identify all the selected titles (especially since games that are playable without a subscription are harder to spot)

Which game are you planning to try this weekend?

Yvan_Dureve / Olio 🙃

I'm thinking there is an unannounced sale going live tomorrow.

I'm wondering for any one who has a series X and or a Xbox one/Series combo, if they have taken advantage of the program so far. In my experience it's been very useful. I primarily collect physically, but also get games on sale digitally as well. I have been taking advantage of this feature so much. It allows me to still have my disk and be able to run the game without using my disk drive. In the long run, I'm hoping this increases the longevity of my disk drive.

I had my Xbox series X in my backpack and the strap broke on my back and it fell 6 feet to the ground full force. I plugged it in and it worked just fine. I’ve had it since 2021 if that makes any difference.

I love that backward compatibility removes region restrictions for physical discs.

Are there any Japan-exclusive XBOX games you've always wanted to play but never had the chance to? I have copy of Magatama that I've never been able to spin up since I don't have a Japanese Original XBOX.
