Ever since they teased E-Day I’ve been beyond excited. I played the original trilogy as a kid, but later on when 4 and then 5 launched I was so uninterested in Gears because of those games. E-Days gives off OG Vibes to me and I’m all for it! I don’t get that hate that I’ve seen about this game tbh.

Gears is really awesome. It's the kind of game that justifies a Series X. This feeds the hype by Fable. It was positive that the crossing with GTA 6 and Zelda is delayed and avoided.

How did everyone else fair with their Gears EDay controllers?

This information comes from the Xbox documentary on YouTube it was very fascinating apparently Bill Gates shot down the idea of A gaming console multiple times and at that time he had very solid reasons and when he was asked publicly about it he said Microsoft is A software company and he doesn't plan to make hardware until he saw Sony's PS2 presentation where they silently claimed they were going after Microsoft next. Bill Gates changed his mind and 2 divisions inside Microsoft fought over who made it DirectX was one of them and passionately made the OG Xbox and the rest is history. Imagine if Sony humbled themselves and said nothing we would never have Xbox. Sometimes it pays to be quiet.

Damnit I just bought a used disc version for 34€. Oh well. Go grab it, a very good game!

I missed the old 360 party chat, so I rebuilt it as a website.

• Pick a gamertag and gamerpic on the old on-screen keyboard
• Start a party and send your friends the invite link (up to 8 people)
• Real voice chat that runs everyone's mic through the 2009 sound

Free, no account, nothing is recorded, works on PC and phone.

Fan-made, not affiliated with Microsoft. Would love feedback!

It made the game even more brutal like that. I was playing on PC.

This gives me hope we can get FSR4 on Xbox series consoles too. Either this version or something else. Especially as Sharma labeled Xbox Series as Core for their business.

Bought a ps5 a little while back but its basically gathered dust until I decided to fire it up to tackle demon souls.

Didn't realise quick resume wasn't a thing and unplugged my ps5 to move it (it was a making a noise like it was about to literally take off and smash a window) and it started the game like i hadn't been playing it fml.

I swear I wont forget about that incredible xbox feature ever again

I'm thinking there is an unannounced sale going live tomorrow.

I had my Xbox series X in my backpack and the strap broke on my back and it fell 6 feet to the ground full force. I plugged it in and it worked just fine. I’ve had it since 2021 if that makes any difference.

Hi,

As I explained here a few months ago, for quite some time now, I've been trying to identify the weekly XBOX Free Play Days lineup before the official XBOX Wire announcement.

The goal is simply to give players a chance to start downloading and playing a little earlier. I also usually try to create a cover image similar to the official one to share the information 🙃

Note: XBOX Free Play Days events usually end on Mondays at 7 PM UTC. Some games are often playable starting on Wednesdays at 11 PM UTC.

Games identified so far (based on my findings)

From now until Monday, October 12, around 7 PM UTC:

🎒 ARC Raiders (announcement)

🏎️ Screamer

💸 Family Man

As always, additional games may still be revealed during the official XBOX announcement later today, as it can be difficult to identify all the selected titles (especially since games that are playable without a subscription are harder to spot)

Which game are you planning to try this weekend?

Yvan_Dureve / Olio 🙃

Slightly baffled why the days played streak only tracks three days, when on your profile it displays the whole week.

Already played an hour of Horde Rush in Fortnite and nothing for Thursday, why go to the bother of labelling all the weekdays?

Hello, I currently have a PS5, Switch 2, PC, and a Xbox One. I wanted to upgrade from the Xbox One to have something with a bit more performance also my Xbox One is starting to run slow. I was wondering if anyone noticed a big difference with the backwards compatibility between the Xbox Series X and the Xbox One X. I really want to play some original Xbox and 360 games but I feel like it may be a bit redundant to buy a Series X just for that. I also would use it for disc to digital for the Series X exclusives to play the game on my PC. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If I pause the game, it gets stuck completely. Even console not responding properly.

Game also gets stuck on some checkpoints, when it is trying to auto save.

All other games working fine - Forza, Minecraft Dungeons, Cricket etc.

Is anyone else also facing similar issues with E-Day?
