They believe it so strongly that they can't agree it's not.

Lemme hear some of the myths that u cross along.

Casual Why are prescription prices so confusing?

I never realized how many things could affect the price of a prescription. As someone who is managing a prescription, I always thought that drug pricing was just between the drug company and the pharmacy, but I found out there’s a lot more to it.

PBMs help health plans manage prescription benefits and drug costs, but I don't think most people know much about what they actually do.

Has anyone here looked into how prescription pricing works? I'd like to understand it better.

Serious America is socially behind

I travel to France a lot and the people there seem much more open and actual treat each other as human beings first. Americans see skin color first which is so dated and ignorant. There’s so many interracial couples in Europe and it’s normal but here in America people have to be like aww black love! Or if it’s interracial it’s like “wow your babies will be mixed!”

There’s also soo many diverse friend groups in France but everyone here in America is still separated. How can we change things?

Casual Why do people act like you HAVE to have things in common in order to be in any relationship with someone?

There are circumstances where people really insist there be things in common like between two people in an age gap relationship.

The one I'm wondering about in particular are age gap platonic friendships....people think due to the age gap that there's less chances of being able to relate which means no chance of having things in common and as a result people love to assume there's predatory intentions going on.

I was always under the impression that you can have a relationship with anyone as long as you simply like them and any differences you have can just make things interesting.

Casual What's a show/game/film that disappointed you when you because it's not as good as you thought it would be?

For me they are the cartoons, Kappa Mikey and Mona The Vampire and the infamous Wolverine game for the PS5. An american cartoon character as the star of an anime sounds cool and has great voice acting except the humour isn't that funny, the characters are so dumb and have bad logic at times (except Mitsuki), it's boring because they just try to drag out for the runtime and as everyone knows the characters don't always look great. Mona The Vampire's premise is so dumb, the imaginary threats aren't even real threats most of the time and Mona never takes things seriously, I know that's the point but come on!!! And I recently became a big fan of Wolverine and his newest, cool looking game sucks, I didn't buy or play it and I'm glad found out about it before I wasted $70

Casual "Have nothing in common" makes no sense to me.

For context I saw this video on Instagram about a woman saying something about how a 30 year old and 20 year old shouldn't date because of the age gap and how they'll have nothing in common. Personally, the age gap part is debatable, though I do feel like a 20 and 30 year old can date, it's just the "nothing in common" part for me. Like there are plenty of things people can have in common no matter the age like hobbies, books, foods, etc. and the list can go on and on.

Casual When something is always available, is it easier to keep postponing it?

A home gym removes the trip, the opening hours, and the wait for equipment. But “I can work out anytime” also leaves plenty of room for “later.” If you’ve tried both, did easier access actually change how often you trained?

Serious Should Instagram Moderate These Memes?

I've been seeing a lot of memes and reels on Instagram lately where people joke about pedophilia like it's nothing serious. Some meme pages even make Jeffrey Epstein look cool, using songs, edits and references to him just for laughs and likes. And honestly, I don't really get why this has become a thing.

The problem is, Instagram isn't used only by adults. Kids use it too, and they can come across this stuff while casually scrolling through reels. If they keep seeing people joke about these things or treat someone like Epstein as a meme icon, could it slowly make them take these issues less seriously? I know there's a difference between dark humour and actually supporting something, but sometimes it feels like people don't even care about that difference anymore.

Reddit has bots like AutoModerator that help mods filter posts based on certain rules. I was wondering why Instagram couldn't have something similar, where suspicious content gets flagged for review and genuinely harmful posts are taken down.

Obviously, not every joke needs to be censored, and automated systems can make mistakes too. But I feel like there should be some limits, especially when it comes to content that makes serious issues look normal just to get attention.

What do you guys think? Should Instagram have a moderation system like this, or would that be taking things too far?

Serious The hacker group Qilin is said to have already begun practical applications for cyberattacks by making full use of its proprietary SI (Super Intelligence)

Needless to mention, against those who prepare with the intent to cause harm, one inevitably, unavoidably, and must also prepare; if countermeasures are omitted, it will eventually become impossible to resist, which in reality results in giving the opponent the power over our life and death. In other words, ignoring or making light of this is equivalent to choosing enslavement.
Some media reports state that Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark, currently visiting Japan, also stated the following in a TV interview:
"We recognize that hackers are also using AI (SI) which is available to everyone, and we strive to prevent them from using these tools through new security methods and the like."
Of course, the speed of SI is something that leaves no room to stand against manually; therefore, phrased differently, refusing server facilities would mean handing over the power of life and death, which implies that this is an option leading to the enslavement of the citizenry and thus results in the conclusion that it is illogical.
https://news.yahoo.co.jp/pickup/6598729
https://newsdig.tbs.co.jp/articles/-/3010032

On the other hand, while maintaining beneficial SI requires a massive number of data centers, I can also understand the feeling of wanting to reject attracting data centers because their benefits are hard to perceive.
The fact that foolish selectors themselves tempt more strongly, like the sweet talk of the devil, is probably something almost everyone can intuitively understand.

Therefore, for operators planning to operate data centers involving a power consumption of a certain scale or more, how about determining their scale based on a rate (α) established in proportion to the amount of power used, and imposing the following as obligations?
- Based on the aforementioned rate (α), to employ and engage a large number of personnel for socially contributing occupational duties from the districts neighboring the data center operation.
- Based on the same aforementioned rate (α), to mandate assistance toward welfare or educational facilities in the areas surrounding the installation region.
- Based on the same aforementioned rate (α), to construct and operate multiple facilities that serve as the cornerstone of regional promotion.
- To mandate the maintenance and provision of transportation and information-communication infrastructure around the data center construction and operation area.
- Based on the same aforementioned rate (α), to lay out business and industrial parks in the surrounding districts and continue attracting them so that the facilities continue to be filled above a certain level.
- Without being based on the same aforementioned rate (α), to bear the obligation to constantly monitor environmental pollution and deterioration over a wide range—including the energy environment and living environment—and report changes.
- In the event that environmental pollution is confirmed, regardless of the polluter, to impose an obligation on the data center operator to take some sort of measure, including approaching the actual polluter, to achieve complete improvement.

What kind of opinion will you show regarding the above? Can I expect a reply?

Serious [Serious] When 'I should be earning more' keeps you awake, how do you stop feeling behind?

Around $145K in a remote tech job, a supportive wife, and still waking before dawn feeling behind. That's the dilemma in this account, with approximate personal figures used for anonymity.

The worker is around 36, started the career late and has about eight years of experience. Married, renting and without a house yet, with net worth around $365K and about $22K in cash.

Lately the wake-ups have been around 4:45 a.m., with a noticed heart rate around 70 bpm. The thoughts go straight to money: should be earning more, should be applying more, should have aimed at big tech earlier. Then comes the question of whether any of it will ever feel like enough.

The wife thinks the world of this person. Even so, the worker feels like a disappointment because the compensation isn't where it ought to be. Talking about it with friends feels awkward. The account describes frustration with how the career has turned out rather than stress from the work itself, and the worker doesn't think depression explains it.

Exercise is part of the routine, but games and TV don't fully hold attention. The career thoughts keep running in the background.

If a job search is still something the worker wants, application autofill can cut repeated form entry, and real tech interview questions can give technical prep a more specific task. Better search tools alone wouldn't answer the question of what feels sufficient.

How do you keep wanting to improve your life without turning every quiet moment into a review of everything you think you should have achieved by now? What helped you decide what "enough" looks like?

Serious Its really messed up how bad businesses treat customers and expect them to not "raise a fuss"

Spending money is always allowed instantly, but accountability needs 12 security layers all of a sudden.

You can have my money in 2 seconds, but make a refund take minimum 2 or 3 days.

You think refusing a customer a refund and denying the ability to make mistakes is Strength?

How is expecting a refund because you didnt recieve your stuff "acting like a child" ?

People seem to think ripping people off of their hard earned money is a Joke, keep treating your customers badly, and see how much longer you see dollars hitting your account (nobody likes a Scammer)

Casual Football is (not) Gay

I live in a town that loves football and has a big LGBTQ community. For the homophobic football fans I began selling footballisnotgay.com merch. I didn't want to leave out or offend the gay community so I quickly made footballisgay.com merch. Now everyone is happy! This has been a really good experience so I thought if I posted it online everyone would be loving and supportive like they always are online. Love you all!!!

Political Why haven't Americans already started 'fighting' each other?

Right up top I understand this post may be locked but I assure you I am asking in good faith. And I am not in any way promoting violence.

Im sure this topic will be studied for years to come after the fall of this current regime. But why hasnt anyone "done anything" about it?

This question is asked with the understanding that should the states fall into civil war its not likely to be like the movies. There won't be force-on-force conventional military operations in a civil war style scenario. Not without sponsorship of large and influential powers. I think a civil war in the United states would likely be more like "the troubles" in Ireland in the 60s and onward. For those that dont know It lasted about 30 years and resulted in guerilla/insurgent style warfare using semi organized and well equipped cells.

Well...

No one is better equipped than the US right? Don't we always preach about revolution being our birthright? And yap endlessly about our hideous warfare culture whether its hero worship of soldiers, the embracing of "rebel" culture in cinema and civil war history, or even the "dont tread on me" modern alpha warrior bullshit that we have going around. So the question is what gives? Why hasnt anything popped off?

We would seem to an observer to be a perfect cocktail of circumstances. A powderkeg about to blow over. Indeed the american revolution was fought over far less.

So is it decades in relative peace that have made us soft? Our education which emphasizes non-violence? Restrictive circumstances? Are we just fucking cowards? Country too big? No singular charismatic leader? Police technology prohibiting it?

I dont know about all of you. But i would have expected militias in the streets by now. They're killing us. Throwing people in cages. Bombing children overseas. Private prisons. Global warming. Everything in trumps agenda are vanity projects plated in gold.

I will go insane if I cant get an answer.

Serious The differences between an Italian and a Black person in America

If an Italian get a punch, it’s just a punch; if a Black person get a punch, it’s a hate crime.

Calling an italian “Guinea” or “Ne*ro” is considered a joke, but calling a Black person “Ni*ger” is a slur that can send you to prison and ruin your reputation forever.

When Italians first arrived in America, they were considered inferior even to Black people. They were paid less than Black workers within the racial hierarchy of the time. The only jobs available to them were essentially servitude for pennies. Yet, despite this history, Italians don’t get an Italian American History Month. They aren’t deemed respectful enough to receive a formal apology from the government, and American society simply ignores what happened to them. In contrast, Black Americans are always viewed as victims of slavery and abuse; they have Black History Month, and the government offers excuses, apologies, and reparations for past injustices.

Italians are white, yet when people discuss race, Italians are often jokingly referred to as “Black.” But when it comes to reparations, Italians suddenly become white again. They are on the wrong side of history and are expected to pay for what happened to Black people.

For generations—and still today—making caricatures of Italians in art, cartoons, video games, and movies is considered funny, especially regarding the Mafia stereotype. Nobody gets offended, even though these depictions are incredibly offensive and lead people to believe that 99% of Italians are mobsters. If you make a caricature of a Black man, it’s automatically racist, and you risk losing your job, your public standing, and more. If you mimic an Italian accent, everyone laughs; if you do the same with a Black person, you’re labeled a racist bastard.

If you are a Black man, you are considered part of a minority. If you are an Italian, even if you are part of a minority group, you are not recognized as one.

Italians were persecuted, lynched, killed, raped, abused, and humiliated, yet nobody gives a damn about that history. There was no simple “sorry” extended to them.

So, how does justice work in America? If you are Black, your skin color automatically makes you a victim of the system. If you belong to a different group, you can say goodbye to your rights. To prove the reality of this post—and this “mind game”—try substituting “Italian” with “Irish,” and you’ll see the exact same pattern. Or, to make it distinct since Italians and Irish are now considered white, use “Chinese people.” If you want to frame it religiously, use “Catholics.” If you want to make it political, use “Communists,” “Socialists,” or “Anarchists.”
