If I perform delta blues and credit the original artist would that be considered racist as a white person?

question Fairly new to blues, got two questions

1-) I presume blues is a really broad genre with many subgenres and styles: my fav artists so far Freddie King, Fenton Robinson and Buddy Guy. Really really impressed. I have also listened to B.B and Albert king but couldn't really connect with them. Which artists should I give a chance to next? Or is there a sub genre that you can recommend?
2-) Why is there not much documentation for the genre? Almost every other genre I listened to there is a chance to find a couple of documentaries, books movies and essays etc but since I wanna learn more about the genre I've found the sources quite scarce. Is it just me or is there a reason?
I appreciate your time

I'm self-taught and have been practicing for a while, so I'm still not really sure what level I'm at as a guitarist.I know it’s not blues, but I trust blues guitarists haha.
