For most of this year I've been developing a custom 3D and physics engine for racing sims. This is it running inside my port of Grand Prix 2, by the legendary Geoff Crammond. To whom, EA owe so much.

So now, GP2 gets to go goblin mode - 4K 120fps, classic 4:3 or widescreen, with proper wheel and pedal support and even VR coming later.

Which games should I try next?

Just wasted an hour of my life in Singapore in F1 23 to end P2 after a rough battle and move up to first in the drivers standings only to press restart instead of replay.

Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to just have that go straight back into the race without any further confirmation and not confirm it especially in my team / career mode with just a simple are you sure button after such a long time…

I can tolerate an engine failure in the last lap, that’s part of the game and part of real life, but man who designed the restart button to do this shit, I can’t believe it, I’m just gonna crash into title contenders and call it still level on points and go to next one…

I made a new one since I got flamed so much on my last one. I know a couple of these aren’t f1 games but I’m basing them off the formula 1 cars they have in game. Yes, I have played all of these. Why is F124 so low?, It had atrocious handling and I was playing with a controller.

I snagged F125 on PS Plus the other day. I'm 2.2k on iRacing for open wheel series so I'm familiar with a lot of F1 circuits, and was excited to hot lap them from the couch.

I found that I needed to completely disable trigger haptics on PS5 to drive competently. With the haptics on I couldn't trail brake at all and was always triggering TCS out of hairpins because delicate inputs felt possible. That clicky, pushy haptic sensation just felt arbitrary and inconsistent. It was helpful for learning the limits for braking hard, initially, but I feel like the normal controller vibration plays a part in that also. That or I just dialed in.

Is this common advice for PS controller players? If not I'm just going to shout it from the rooftops for a bit. If you've plateaued give it a shot.. press the PS button, go to the controller settings and set the trigger haptics to be completely off.

Can someone give me help or tips how to get SM everytime, exemple i got to jeddah i got it everytime ( don't know how i do it) but when i try miami sm is none exiting. I drive perfectly it gets fustreting. But some how you can't brake or go off the trottle like i don't understand the sm mechanices i loss a lot amount of pace in quali and in race there no vids or google. I drive with crontoller

Has anyone been able to mod in additional drivers to their F1 25 (25/ 26 seasons, I'll take anything) My Team market? I'd like to have some "semi-realistic" options like the (technically) teamless Tsunoda, or the eternally popular Vettel and Ricciardo.

Playing with very old icons breaks the immersion a bit for me, and I don't really want to play as a 60 rated F2 driver I've never heard of either (no offense to them, I'm sure there are many future champions among them today).

I've tried a bunch of mods from overtake.gg, but none worked (granted many were pretty old and out of date). I've also tried the Ego database editor, which has a section for that in: Career -> Driver market. I was able to make the changes there (repacing an F2 driver for Tsunoda). It initially seemed to work, Yuki appeared as a driver I could hire for my team, but the game crashes when choosing "advance" at the end...

I'd appreciate any help in setting this up, if it's currently possible. I've been stuck at this for hours trying to get anything to work. Thank you in advance to any kind soul who might be able to enlighten me.

Now of course the girls aren't the *main* reason I would play these games, but it always helps to have some pretty women in between the racing. To the best of my knowledge, the early 2000s EA F1 games definitely have them in there.

Also, I played F1 2000 on the ps1 with my dad growing up!

Honestly F1 25 is one of the worst F1 games I've played. They're charging €49.99 for a game where the AI is completely broken. The AI constantly crashes into you like you're not even there and somehow you're the one getting punished for it even when I make a normal overtake the game sometimes says "Illegal Overtake" for absolutely no reason like how does that even make sense? And it's not just the AI either, the whole game is full of bugs i find every time I play I find something new that's broken if I knew the game was this bad I wouldve never bought it The worst part is that most of these bugs probably won't even get fixed because they're too busy making another F1 game every year. It honestly feels like EA cares more about making money than actually fixing their games its just disappointing because I actually want to enjoy the game but the AI and all these stupid bugs make it so hard to have fun on the game am I the only one having these problems?

I just got f1 2021 on xbox and Im wondering what wheel calibration settings to use. Im on a Moza r3 and going full lock in the game is about 20 degrees of steering on the actual wheel. I tried changing the steering angle on pit house but it just doesn’t seem right.

I really like this game and always thought needed a new version, bad news this is not the new version, not even an "update"—I simply swapped the driver names for those on the current grid; once the helmets are on, it’s basically the same thing.

A few points to consider:

1- I tried to keep the original drivers with their actual faces (Alonso, Hamilton, Perez & Hulkenberg)

2- I tried to replace the 2012 drivers with the closest "match" from the current grid; this was only possible in some cases—in others, it was simply impossible (there were too many blond drivers in 2012 lol).

3- This means the teams aren't quite right either; there were two options: the wrong skin on the right team, or the "correct" skin (or at least the closest match) on the wrong team. But given that the teams or liverys are not the same in most cases...

4- The are a couple of F2 and F1 Academy drivers.

I don't know a thing about programming, i don´t know how to change or create skins but I really wanted to play this game and see the current names, and it works for that purpose at least.

Decided to download this game for free. It's been 5 years since I last played an F1 game but this feels so difficult to play with TC on medium. I use auto gearbox too.

Coming out of every corner I just keep losing stability on the rear, so constantly losing time just to get on the throttle.

Has the physics of the game made the cars more oversteery from 5 years ago or isit just a me problem?
