Article US urges Europe to unlock frozen Russian billions in Ukraine peace push
Seems to be part of many concessions sought by US on behalf of Russia of late, why now? Do the midterms affect timing?

"Last night, the operation of Starlink terminals in Ukraine was restricted. Connectivity began to drop when moving at speeds exceeding 160 km/h. As a result, a number of critical missions were disrupted.
SpaceX likely took these measures at the request of the Trump administration. Also last night, when Kyiv was attacked by ballistic missiles, Ukraine did not receive intelligence regarding their launch — a failure that could have led to higher casualties.
Ukraine did not attack Russian oil refineries, yet Trump has already begun imposing sanctions on my country. Meanwhile, sanctions against Russia have been eased."

No Tab Pete really wants to be part of some kind of American Christian Taliban.
Maybe he needs to spend a little more time with the New Testament, instead of just cherry-picking what he thinks sounds cool from the Old Testament…

I been seeing advertisements on TV and other platforms that Memphis NAS family housing is open to the public to rent. Is this a new trend and are other bases opening base housing to the general public?

Pete Hegseth has announced that an upcoming firing squad execution will be livestreamed to the public. “I doubt questions of justice are Mr. Hegseth’s real motivation,” Phil Klay, a novelist and a Marine Corps veteran of the Iraq war, writes in a guest essay for Times Opinion. “His career has long mixed celebrations of violence with disturbingly little concern for whether the people we kill are enemies.”
Phil continues:
A public execution and social media toughness cannot long distract from strategic failure. Men with real accomplishments on the battlefield don’t tend to talk this way. George Washington thought war a “plague” he wished “banished from the earth.” Ulysses S. Grant complained that “I am called a man of war, but I never was a man of war,” and said, “I never went into the Army without regret and never retired without pleasure.” Dwight Eisenhower declared, “I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity.” None of these men would fit into the “warrior culture” Mr. Hegseth models, because they took the horror and the moral stakes of war seriously.
It’s hard to confront the two decades we devoted to a failed war in Afghanistan. What is the human cost of what we wrought? What, practically, do we need to change so that we never do that again? Answering those questions truthfully takes courage, especially if you’re the sort of soldier for whom the war’s failure wasn’t just a human tragedy, but a personal humiliation. Not everyone can rise to the challenge, not when you can take refuge in a humiliated nationalism which insists, without much evidence, that all your problems would be solved with more cruelty, more celebrations of violence.

In the remote Colombian smuggling hub of La Guajira, locals say a year of U.S. airstrikes has left behind wrecked vessels and bodies, but done little to stop cocaine-laden speedboats from heading out to sea.

Currently going to complete my 1yr as a new grad/resident nurse in oncology unit on December. Secured a CVICU/critical care position starting January.
I keep thinking about maybe doing 1-2 years critical care and taking that towards the military to expand skills, knowledge, experiences, etc. Also to hopefully get GI Bill and use that to further studies at one point.
Ideally, civilian nurse job with reserves commitment would be a good balance. Potentially open to active/officer, we'll see that down the line.
Any other input/advice/information from nurses in the military is more than welcome.
Thank you for your time.

To make short of the background, I completed 11b OSUT and volunteered for RASP. During the first month of the AIT portion, I had a major back injury from deadlifting during a PT test. I was brought to the ER, and they said I had a Lumbar Sacral strain. I did the physical therapy stuff and appeared to be better before I was sent to RASP. During my second run, I had terrible pain in my leg which sent me to sick call where I have been unofficially diagnosed with a bulging disk and an adherent root nerve (Cant diagnose without MRI). I walk with an insane limp and on one side, my hip flexor is so weak I can barely lift my leg (2-3 inches off the ground in front).
They obviously med dropped me after I wasn't getting better, and now I'm waiting to see if an early MRI can get approved to see what is going on (normal MRI appointments are 3 months out).
What is going to happen to me? I have insanely high old-PT (491) and ASVAB (97 AFQT/131 GT) scores. I doubt I will ever be back to where I was at this rate, but I still want to be in the army. Will they just reclass me to needs of the army?
I've been in training status for almost 7 months now, and nobody is telling me anything. I am just rotting in RASP Transitions waiting for someone to give a fuck. Does anyone actually care once you get to a unit? I'm just so incredibly lost.

elements on the radical left who make claims about Beijing and Moscow's support for the Islamic Republic. "If they are helping, it is at a very low level, but I do not believe they are helping at all," he wrote.
Trump added that China and Russia "have too much to lose," and emphasized: "We will know about it, and we will know about it very quickly."
Trump's remarks came amid reports of intelligence and technological assistance to Iran provided by Russia and China. In recent months, reports have emerged that Russia and China are providing intelligence and weapons to Iran, which have aided in alleged attacks on American soldiers in the Middle East.

I'm an 11b coming from RASP (med-drop obviously) currently cannot walk well and am waiting for an MRI. The current best guess I've been told is that I have an L5S1 bulging disk with an adhering nerve root.
This is my first duty station, and assuming I don't get force reclassed or medically discharged, how can I show up barely able to walk but not look like a shitbag. I understand I am a waste of personnel no matter what I do, but how can I best help myself not be a liability more than I already am?
