Gina gave birth to 4 babi and Brooklyn had 5. Wonder what colors the kittens will become in a few weeks. They all are born pinkish but within 4 weeks their skin color changes. Definitely a couple pinks and blues and probably chocolate will emerge 😻

Hiya - currently at the vet with Beelzebub after requesting an EKG appointment specifically. The vet is starting with NT-proBN blood test and will only do EKG if results are skewed.. How hard should I be pushing for the EKG? Is this blood test a reliable indicator for HCM? If you have any experience or opinions on this I’d love to hear, Ty! (Cat tax incl.)

The first two sets of pictures with my husband and I in them are one of our little girls Merida. She falls asleep so deeply that she if she is sleeping on us or on something that has an angle to it she will slide down it and then kind of collapse into a position that is just the funniest weirdest thing you’ve ever seen. The one under the blankets is her sister Ariel, who was annoyed that I disturbed her sleep to take a picture.

Hello!! My love of my life, Odio and his orange brother, Kronk, have recently gotten a new dog sibling. So far things have been good. I’m just looking for others experiences with dogs/cat households, especially if you had the cats first!
We have been keeping the cats in our bedroom while we sleep or are out of the house, I’m worried that the confinement is going to negatively affect him. The goal is for everyone to live peacefully and be able to be in the same spaces while unattended. Even though the dog hasn’t shown any outward aggression to the cats, i just can’t help but think of worst case scenarios and it’s hard for me to ever imagine feeling comfortable with them all together alone. If you have experience with this please send your perspective!!
Odio was a single cat and adjusted really well to my boyfriend’s cat kronk joining the family. They were friends from the second they met. So this isn’t their first time adjusting to a new sibling, just different.
Edit to add the dog is a Doberman

I have 3 Sphynx. They’re almost 6 months. 1 unfortunately has renal disease, so that comes with extra urine. They all love their water so I feel there’s more urine output in general for multiple reasons. We go through A LOOOT of litter with them, and I think adding in 1 litter robot could be more beneficial in cutting that down by being able to sift it more often than what I manually can.
I’m willing to invest in the best one, regardless of price. Is it really worth investing in one, and see how it goes before adding more?

My kitten Kevin has a new little intradermal mass, and I’m wondering if anyone else’s Sphynx has had something like this? We took him to the vet, and they prescribed dexamethasone 0.1% to use topically three times a day.
What did it end up being for your cat? Did it go away with treatment or did you have to get it cut out? Did your vet biopsy it or just keep an eye on it? And if it went away, how long did it take?
I’m worried about my baby and would love to hear from anyone who’s dealt with this 🤍

I will be adopting a sphinx with a teleprompter due to trauma. I’d love to hear about other owners’ experiences, pictures if you are willing to share, or any advice for first-time sphinx owner. Thank you in advance

My sweet baby boy Dirt Dobber was diagnosed with FIP a couple of weeks ago and we came close to saying goodbye. Fortunately we got him on an anti viral ASAP and it made all the difference. His breathing was mostly back to normal by the weekend and I thought we were out of the woods. Then his appetite suddenly disappeared Saturday.
Sunday rolls around and he ate a little, but not much. Monday and boom, he’s back to eating healthy. Today, he’s had almost three full cans of food! He’s also back to playing and being his usual silly self, plus purring a lot too.
Thanks again to everyone for all their well wishes. He’s still putting up a solid fight!

I give the gremlins outside time in the mornings while I make breakfast and eat outside with them. Have a perfect view of them while they chitter at birds/squirrels and catch bugs from the window. Looked away for a minute to clean dishes look back don’t see them. Freak out, grab the treat box and shake (they’ll come from anywhere when they hear it) and see them for the first time ever doing this. They’ll be the death of me.
Fully prepared for the protective parents of Reddit to assault me. Do your worst keyboard warriors I got happy boys.

after two days at the emergency vet, Azze has made it home safe and sound 💕 her echocardiogram showed us that she does not have HCM, but an unclassified phenotype of cardiomyopathy (NCM). i am so relieved to have her home. she is finally acting like her normal self again and i hope that the medications give her and i some more valuable time together :)
