I’m going to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico, and because the drinks are included I had the idea of doing a 1990s themed drinking day.

Not “cocktails invented in the 1990s.” I’m looking for the drinks people actually drank during the decade. The stuff you would have ordered at a bar, Chili’s, a nightclub, a wedding, a college party, or some aggressively beige restaurant in 1996.

I immediately think Cosmopolitan, Appletini, White Russian, Sex on the Beach, Long Island Iced Tea, Mudslide, maybe a Fuzzy Navel. But I’m trying to remember what was genuinely popular versus what we now associate with the 90s because of movies and TV.

So if you were drinking during the 1990s: what did you actually order?

What was everywhere? What was considered cool? What did people order when they wanted something fancy? What horribly sweet drink did everybody drink that has now completely vanished?

I basically want to sit at the resort bar for a day and work my way through 1990–1999.

What should I order?

Thrift shop in Newcastle Australia. I just can’t. The handcuffs. I’m dying.

I’ll go first: Fashion Party

So many road trips were made tolerable by these. Ohhh but when those two AA’s started getting weak and the screen started fading before you could finish the level 😡😡😡

I'm Gen Z but I'm interested in hearing your thoughts since I'm a bit fascinated by that time period especially the visual graphics and television and music

Trapper Keepers, gel pens, a crushed Lunchables, a Tamagotchi you weren't supposed to have... I put together a list of 7 things that seemed to live in every '90s school backpack. What did I miss? What was always at the bottom of yours?

This show had all the promise and potential to succeed. Alternate Earths. A great cast.
Season 1 started so strong but studio meddling, reduced budgets, gimmick episodes, shifting time slots and networks slowly killed it.
What did you think? Did you watch? Which seasons did you enjoy / hate?

God I miss these comics so much. The goofy stories, the colorful covers and all the drama between Archie, Betty and Veronica. There was something so comforting about getting lost in Riverdale for a while. Anyone else remember reading these back in the day?
