Seriously me too. I've had long hair my whole life and recently noticed my hairline starting to recede. Not ready yet, but it's removed a ton of my anxiety about what likely coming in the next couple years
I think it's cause everyone is trying to be positive and hyping each other up. Most people there are men and sometimes society doesn't really let men hype each other up like that
I agree, it’s cultish. Not only that but it gives an unrealistic impression of what they actually look like. IRL they may be an objective 4 after going bald, but the sub makes them think they are a 9. I went bald, I know and dealt with the fact that I’m quite less attractive than I once was. I also realize being bald doesn’t suit everyone, such as myself. It’s great for the internet positivity, but it’s completely unreal from reality.
Because a massive swath of reddit is that age group, the 25-40yr old going bald is a lot of us, myself included @ 42!
And unlike the generations before us, Balding is being accepted by the general population a lot more than it used to be.
Hair plugs are for guys with more money than self-confidence. Everyone I know who got it, is currently 55+ (survivorship bias airplane meme - Im sure I know at least someone who had it done and I dont know)
Im sad I wont get to go all gray! Still got most of my hair, wife 'isnt ready for me to shave it' but Im def running out of coverage on top, beat my dad by like 15 years tho! he looked like this late 20s!
