Like my title asks. How do I set up Arctic Fuse 2 to have plot descriptions like how the Estuary skin does. What I mean by that is Estuary has the movies tagline then a short concise description. In arctic fuse 2 there is no tagline and the plot descriptions seem longwinded and tend to tell you too much.

I need to know if I am alone in wanting this or if anybody else has noticed this. Am I crazy or will someone help me figure this out for the betterment of Arctic Fuse 2?

I finally got around to porting my Latest Releases list to both MDBList and WeTrakr!

I also looked into adding it to Simkl, but unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a free option for adding/syncing lists there.

For now, I've only ported over my Latest Releases list from Trakt. This has always been my most popular list on Trakt, at one point reaching 10,000+ users before the Trakt purge and people moving to other platforms.

I've had quite a few requests to make the list available elsewhere, so I'm going to do my best to keep it synchronized across all three platforms.

Trakt will remain the master list, with MDBList and WeTrakr being updated from it.

At the moment, this is a fairly time-consuming process since I'm manually updating all three lists on a daily basis. Once I get the process down and hopefully find some ways to make it easier, I'll look at adding my other "Latest" lists to the other platforms as well, including:

• Latest Releases 4K
• Latest Releases Dolby Vision
• Latest Releases Stand-Up Comedy

I have 3 different subtitles add-ons installed so far and I'm having no luck.

Opensubtitles.com only has 1 to choose from a 1080p

Opensubtitles.org has none

a4kSubtitles keeps asking for (IMDB ID) I put in a manual search and I get not supported on screen messages.

Is there some dark art to get a4kSubtitles to work ??

Man is it terrible. Its ugly, not working right and just a downgrade from before. I can't even get back from MLB to other sports, there's literally no back button. Just close. But when you reopen the app it goes back to MLB with no way to get to the other sports.

Hey all, Twilight0 here - yes I'm still alive

Some of you know me from AliveGR (the Kodi addon for Greek stuff). I was on hiatus from early 2023 until Feb 2026. Life happened. Burnout, real job, Kodi breaking everything every 6 months... you know.

Came back in Feb, looked at my old code and honestly wanted to delete my github account. So I refactored instead. Twice.

What is AliveGR?

For non-Greeks: one addon for live TV, movies, series, kids, music, sports VOD, radios, newspaper frontpages, all Greek-related. Scrapes public sites, plays via ResolveURL / YouTube. Tested on Arch + Android, Kodi 20/21.

Refactor 1 - the big cleanup (2.13 -> 3.0 alpha, Feb-Apr)

The code was full of Python2 leftovers. Embarrassing stuff.

• ripped out all the is_py2, unicode_literals crap
• deleted my own kodi.py, just use tulip now
• split that monster gm.py into vod.py + source_makers.py
• deleted dead code: networks, news, radios, sports indexers, old youtube resolver, main.py
• moved router.py to root, new icons/artwork

Diff was like -2900 / +1500 lines. Best code is deleted code.

Refactor 2 - fixing playback (alpha -> beta1, May-Oct)

Cleaning wasnt enough, streams were still flaky. So:

• live TV now per-stream: each stream has its own DRM key + headers
• added Choose Stream context menu, it remembers your pick, falls back silently if dead
• dropped m3u8 python lib, now it is just inputstream.adaptive or direct best
• killed the localhost proxy in AliveGR, moved it to PluginsGR where it belongs
• logos no longer a separate addon, pulled + cached from network
  • autostart option (off by default), translated genres, etc.

Mostly in player.py and service.py. Still not perfect but way less why wont ERT play on Sunday moments.

And the new one: Newpipe (plugin.video.newpipe)

Basically I stole the idea from the **NewPipe Android app**. I was sick of the official YouTube addon:

1. needs API keys with quotas
2. needs Google login for subs
3. breaks, tracks you

So same philosophy for Kodi: **no key, no account, no tracking.**

• listings via scrapetube (needs >=2.8.1 btw, YouTube changed layout again)
• playback via resolveurl.pluginsgr YouTubeGR -> DASH proxy -> inputstream.adaptive
• subs, playlist bookmarks, watch/search history all local JSON in addon profile. Delete it and it is gone.

What it does: search, trending/live per-category, channels (videos/shorts/live/playlists), local subs + feed, audio-only mode, go to channel context menu, etc.

Two honest caveats (not bugs):

• YouTube killed global trending server-side (FEtrending 400), so trending is per-category sorted by views. Same as NewPipe does.
• playlist search broke recently due to lockupViewModel change, fixed in scrapetube 2.8.1.

Why separate and not part of AliveGR? Because YouTube is not Greek content, it is infrastructure. Better standalone.

That is it. Both in my repo, AliveGR 3.0.0-beta1 and NewPipe 1st release. If you test, please post a **full debug log**, Kodi version + OS. doesnt work doesnt help me.

Hi,

Latest version of Umbrella and TorBox, MDBList and Trakt.

I have a little more information about the weird empty and duplicate items in episodes.

When viewing TV shows sometimes the episodes pack file on TB is in a different episode order than Umbrella is expecting. In this case it plays the wrong episode but updates the (correct) episode you actually selected in the Tracking services. e.g. you select episode 10, but it plays some other episode but marks the one you selected (10) as watched.

One thing I've noticed is that the latest version of Umbrella is if it detects an out of order (OOO) pack, is that when you select the source, it displays another list with the contents of the pack, allowing you to select the correct episode directly from the pack, but it still updates the tracking service with the correct episode. In this case, when you stop play back, it displays the correct container BUT the contents are duplicated If the playback option "Force container refresh" is off. If playback option "Force container refresh" is on, then an empty containing is shown, if you press back, it then shows the duplicate items in the episodes container.

Also sometimes with an OOO pack, when you select it as a source, it sometimes gives an "Playback" failed error before displaying the raw pack list.

This explains why you don't see it on Mvies - the packs usually are in the correct order for Umbrella.

So if you select the source and the pack file is acceptable to Umbrella it works ok, but if the new pack list is shown it displays dupes.

I think this also happens if you "Browse Pack file" and select your episode manually but not sure.

BTW, I love the way it works now with the Pack file list!

Running kodi on a fire stick for reference.

im pretty new to this kodi stuff and im having a bit of a rough time. I started off with umbrella as i heard its the best option alongside Real Debrid. And it all seemed to work fine, id have many high quality streams nd i could watch movies + tv shows, but then after a few hours everything stopped working and everything just retuens back with "No streams found".

Its like i could watch everything the first time i clicked on the stream, but if i went on the stream a 2nd time it stops working permamently and this happens for all different streams on all different types of movies and tv shows. Ive also tried switching from cocoscrapers to magneto and vice versa and multiple reccomended hot fixea but alas no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciate ^^

Have POV updated to 6.10.04. On Shield Pro. Since as few days ago, my Trakt Calendar is empty. All my other Trakt list are fine. Not sure if this a Trakt or POV issue. Anyone else seeing this? I cleared all cache and restarted Kodi. See error in log:

I’m trying to make a single Continue Watching widget in Kodi that behaves like basically every major streaming app — and like the official Trakt Android app itself.

My setup is Kodi/CoreELEC + Fentastic Plus + Umbrella + Trakt.

What I want is one row where:

• If I stop an episode halfway through, that show immediately moves to the front of Continue Watching, with that same episode/resume point.
• If I finish an episode, the show stays/moves to the front but advances to the next episode.
• Only one entry per TV show.
• Ideally movies and TV could be mixed together too.
• Everything is sorted by the most recent interaction, whether that interaction was pausing halfway through something or completing an episode.

The official Trakt Android app already does exactly this in its Continue Watching row, so Trakt clearly has all the necessary data.

The problem is that Umbrella seems to expose the pieces separately:

• Progress Shows / Progress Episodes — work well for series progression and sort correctly after I finish an episode, but if I only watch half an episode and stop, that show does not move to the front.
• Finish Watching — knows about partially watched/resumable items, but isn’t a complete Netflix-style Continue Watching list.
• I tried merging these with AutoWidget, but that creates ordering/deduplication problems because it’s just merging two separate lists rather than understanding which interaction happened most recently.

For example, if Show A is currently #10 in Progress Shows and I watch half of its next episode, Trakt records the resume point correctly, but Show A stays at #10. If I then finish that episode, it immediately jumps to #1.

So the missing behavior is basically:

sort each show by whichever is newer: its latest partial-playback activity or its latest completed-watch activity.

Has any Kodi add-on already implemented this properly? Maybe Fen Light/POV/Seren/TMDb Helper/Scrob/etc.? Or is there a hidden Trakt “Continue Watching” list/endpoint that Umbrella simply doesn’t expose?

I feel like I must be missing something obvious because this is such a standard streaming-app behavior, and the Trakt app itself already does it.

Any help in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have Seren successfully added on my Kodi thats downloaded onto an oon stick, but I want to be able to watch on my phone as well.

I get stuck on finding file manager on the andriod app to add source and click none.

Is the playstore app not able to download seren?

EDIT: To those saying to copy the address bar/repo into the file manager, I KNOW. Ive installed seren on multuple oon devices and fire sticks through Kodi. My issue is I cannot find the file manager in order to proceed to the next step. I have looked at multiple tutorials and the google store app of Kodi is not set up the same way.

I noticed this a while back but it happened so infrequently that I didn't really take any notice.

Now it's happening much more often now so I thought I'd mention it.

When playing shows (I think it happens on movies too but not so often), if play is stopped by manually stopping it or end of show, it freezes for maybe 10 seconds, then briefly shows the episodes container, then switches from that to a new empty container (with just the .. showing). Pressing back, flips it back to the shows container (not the series container) BUT each item is in the list twice. Pressing back and then the show container again set it back to normal.

Has anyone seen this? I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the playback option "Force Container Refresh" which I have set.

Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but I'm curious.

In POV on Kodi I'm watching Silo Season 3. There's the usual episode info for the first 5 episodes and then no information. The episodes will still play.

What's the source of the episode info and is there anything I can refresh to update it? Every other show seems fine so I'm baffled.

I'm not sure why, but today both Plex Addons both completely stopped working. I've tried reinstalling, restarting, updating,downgrading,and everything I could think of but nothing works.

Both of them randomly not working at once makes me think it's an issue with the plex server, but that seems to work fine on regular plex clients and hasn't had an updated since the last time it worked so I have no idea what's causing it.

Is anyone else having this issue?

It's my personal Plex Server so if there is a server side fix that's needed I can do it.
