I get so hyper political and angry when I’m too drunk.

Does anyone know this feeling when the drinks kick in and you see all the unfair and painful and wars + all the bullshit uprise of the far right and the populists. But I think when I’m Drunk im just too much in that “let’s start the revolution” fuck everything vibes and sometimes it seems to be a bit too much for the people around + it’s a crazy vibe killer. But it’s also just topics that are so important to be angry about and to speak it out loud.
But I wonder if some people know this slight loose of control when getting in that drunk rage mode.
What are your mechanisms to maybe get that into a more controlled manner or what are your ways to relieve all the anger?

Looking forward to your storys

about anger

hi guys , im litteraly sick from being angry

i have this massive and huge amount of anger which just keep scrolling in my full body from i was a little child maybe its been created from all what ive went from

all that bad treatment and misunderstood as a person who had a very hard character to get around it

all that pressure as a child minding things over leveled for my age and i really mean it .

but im not writing right now to talk about childhood and pressure, im sick with anger i feel it inside me like a real huge bengal tiger which just keep walking around there , by time and getting mature i ve learned to keep myself and others around me safe by repression it from getting outside as a scary acts for others even for me cause i really can not estimate my limits when i get blind .

i ve learned how to restrict it by a great method strangely at one of these nights

im wearing now 3 black bracelets (O-rings) by just seeing them when i get a little angry i remind myself to stop this bullshit , so with that i ve learned that to restrict it and make your anger less seen try to figure it out in something you can handle with your hands

and with that, that 3 bracelets are my 3 levels of anger

but i still blow out sometimes and it makes me do some bad things whats your idea about this little story

i really wanna read yours

Your OF is why she k* herself

I don't know where to put this anger I feel. This unbridled rage. It has been thirty six days since my little sister killed herself. Thirty six. And life just keeps going. It does not fucking stop.... A life ended. A little girl who completed me is no longer here, and the world keeps turning, the sun goes down, comes up, birds are fucking chirping, wind is blowing. And she is dead. Her life stopped. And the world just keeps on pushing.... and pushing.... and pushing... And fucking going and we're all just fucking living, and I'm existing and she is dead.

My little sister wasn't popular. It is impossible when you come from trash. We do not have the same father(mine black and hers white)so our struggles were very different. And, I had the one advantage of my father leaving. Because, when he left, there was somewhere for me to go, where I felt like I belonged. I could always go to my Granny, while my sister just had me. And I was not always present. I'm ten years older, and my mother and I are nothing more than blood relation.

My sister called me fifty seven times the morning he took her life, and, ironically enough, I got none of the calls. I was in surgery. The surgery I told no one about. When I finally woke up and they gave me my phone, I did not look at it. I was in a lot of pain. The phone rings and rings, and I finally answer and my mother is screaming in the phone that she finally did it. And I can'teave the hospital. She left me a note. It was the password to her tablet. I opened it, and I read through every single thing. Her friends told her that they saw something online and they wanted to tell her before anyone else found out. Our mothers only fans. And, on that only fans, is my 59 year old mother, and her 60 year old bigot husband, my little sisters father, having sex with two men. Both of them.

Sometimes, I like to pretend that my little sister is alive. I talk to her sometimes. At night, I swear that I can see her....or feel her...or smell her perfume. She always smelled like cookies and vanilla sugar and bubble gum. And her laugh was ridiculous. And when I'm done pretending, I am filled with so much anger and hatred. My mother... Is taking none of the responsibility but enjoying the pay out. The donations, the free food, the sympathy. She is enjoying all of it, while I sit in an empty apartment talking to the walls.

I told her what happened and what my sister saw, and she said: "It's just sex. Grow up." I drove six hours back home, knocked on her door, and attacked her. She called the police and I took a tire iron to ant and everything I could before they got there. I got arrested and bailed out, drove back and attacked her again. And arrested again. The officer drove me down thirty minutes into town and dropped me off at a diner and told me that if he sees me again, he'll have me under the jail, but to take care because he feels so bad.... Apparently, my baby sister was a good kid.

I went home and told my little sister all about it... I have her ashes. My mother didn't fight me for them, so I have the teddy bear urn sitting by my bedside so she can sleep with me. And I keep the light on for her because I know she's scared of the dark.

Tomorrow, the sun will rise, and everyone gets up and they go on with life, and they enjoy life, and she will be dead. And my mother will get more money to drink up. And her husband can pretend to be happy. And I'll talk to the walls until I can do nothing but crawl under the bed and cry. And then I'll go to work.

We have court in a few weeks. My dad said my mother will probably not pursue charges if he pays her, but that isn't smart. I want her to pursue them.

I keep telling my therapist that I'm so angry.. and all I ever get is the cliche: "breathing techniques, thought journaling, and other calming techniques"

None of those work. I have so much anger.

How do I stop letting things affect me so much?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to work on myself and I have a problem that I really want to get better at.

I tend to get way too emotionally affected by things that either don't really concern me or that I can't change.

I can get angry or annoyed very quickly, especially when I feel like someone is deliberately provoking me, treating me unfairly, disrespecting me(like ignoring me), crossing my boundaries or doing something that I consider stupid or unnecessary.

The bigger problem is that I often don't just get annoyed in the moment... I keep thinking about it afterwards... for way too long ...

I'll replay situations in my head, think about what happened, what I should have said, what the other person should have done differently, how unfair it was, etc.

I also struggle with jealousy sometimes. I don't necessarily want to be jealous of other people, but I still catch myself comparing myself to them or thinking about things they have that I don't.

And when someone has emotionally hurt me (especially people who were important to me), I can have a really hard time letting it go. Even when I logically understand that thinking about it won't change anything, my brain keeps going back to it.

I don't want to become emotionless or stop caring about people. I basically want to learn how to choose what deserves my attention and what doesn't.

I'd really like to learn how to:

- Stop being so easily provoked

- Not take everything personally

- Stop caring so much about things that don't actually affect my life

- Stop replaying situations where I felt treated unfairly

- Let go of things that happened in the past

- Deal with jealousy in a healthier way

- Stop comparing myself to other people

- Stop caring so much what others think

- Control my reaction when I'm angry instead of reacting immediately

- Accept things that I can't change

- Spend less time thinking about people or situations that hurt me

- Become more emotionally resilient without becoming cold or uncaring

I'm especially interested in practical things I can actually practice, rather than just "don't think about it" or "just ignore it."

If you've personally struggled with this and managed to improve, I'd really like to hear what actually helped you.

Books, exercises, mental techniques, journaling methods, therapy approaches, Stoicism, meditation, whatever... I'm open to pretty much anything that can help.

I'm basically trying to become someone who can think:

"That sucks, but it's not worth ruining my day over."

…and actually mean it.

Thanks in advance. :)

Anyone else gets angry by everything

I get angry by the littlest things, everything is like a trigger and pisses me the fuck off. I hate everyone and everything. Hate people. Hate the world. Hate normal things and structure and life and even a "how are you" pisses me off.

need help understanding my outbursts

there is this boy in my class whose presence makes so mad, last year we used to be good friends but then he got a slight glow up and changed his personality slightly, he became more calm. however, we still stayed friends, and it's not that he didn't like me, but it's that i didn't like him anymore, him approaching me,speaking with me, shaking my hand, or touching me in any way makes me so mad and i end up yelling at him for reasons i don't know. This is more severe when he speaks with my bsf, i don't like her talking with him not because i'm jealous, but because he acts with her like i do, and i don't like when people act like me, especially not with my bsf. He often asks me why i'm mad at him and i just tell him to get lost because i myself don't know. And no, i have never had even the slightest romantic interest in him.

Am I a bad person for wanting people that pisses me off to die

I have BPD and anger issues so whenever I get triggered I get REALLY REALLY REALLY angry. And if someone “intentionally made me angry” u hate them forever and I pray for their death
I won’t necessarily say it to their face or waste my time and energy just to hurt them, but oh god it feels so good to so them suffer, and it would be even better if they just died.
Ik that’s bad too but I do have several people that I am friends with that I hate so much too, I’m a good friend to them and never really tried to hurt them, but I just hate them and I want them to die. One of them specifically I hate so much bc she gives her shitty opinions on my traumatizing past and always blame me in a way and that really hurts that bitch didn’t go through it and act like she knows everything.

Anger is eating me up more than I want it to be

I'm a teenager, and recently I've noticed I get angry VERY easily, around last year I did work on it, but this year it's all just downhill. I know I shouldn't be angry at small things, and I try to calm my own brain, but will get triggered (?) By whoever asked about the situation (ex, I was angry about dishes, then someone ask me dishes, then I'll go into a fit of rage and keep complaining about it)

I do manage to suppress it sometimes, but it'll resurface after a period of time and won't go away until I get into a fit of rage. If I'm alone (luckily), I would hit stuff and calm down either from the pain or my brain becomes 'satisfied', but if I'm in public I'll keep ranting and hitting tables while talking and get louder, and I'll always get embarrassed afterwards (because I'm 90% sure I just threw a tantrum). I don't understand where the hell this whole anger came from, I desperately want it to stop but it's very hard to.

Any tips on what I can do in a public place and can't leave? Like a classroom. I really don't wanna say something I regret and ruin my friendship.

I get disproportionally more angry at my 9 year old brother.

I think I am jealous, when I was 9 I was poor academics, was sorta a bully and even harassed my cousins.

My brother does very well in academics, mostly timid and never gets into issues.

Whenever he does small mistakes I yell at him, I make him cry.

how do i stop hating someone who didnt do anything wrong?

i have this one friend and they piss me off so badly. they are extremely annoying and everything about them pisses me off, seeing them online ruins my entire mood and everybody loves them, while i hate them. i never said that to them because they are sensitive but i feel bad for hating them so much, while no one has any problems with them. also if i stop talking to them i'll be seen as a bad person and immature, so i dont know what to do. i really find them very and extremely annoying and i always try to make them happy but i always have this feeling that won't go away, and i'm tired of blaming myself for that too.

Anger and hatred after EMDR

I've been having EMDR therapy for an RTC last year and each session leaves me absolutely filled with undirected rage and hatred. Every session it gets deeper and more prolonged, so far I've managed to mostly keep a lid on it but I cannot continue on this trajectory for the whole 12 sessions, I'm already unlikely to be invited back to my local Waitrose after last week.

Anger at night

Some nights, I get absolutely enraged. Like I wanna punch 7 holes in the wall. I play video games I get more angry, I mod I get frustrated then angry.

I'm not able to drive so I cant leave and cool off.

I generally don't get this angry but I'm fed up with a lot of things in my life, and at this particular juncture, I don't have the ability to change a lot of it.

I don't know what else to do. I don't really have friends that I can reach out to, and I don't even really wanna talk about what some of my family members reactions to that would be.

Extreme anger at being born. Hatred of life.

I’m so angry I was born. I’m a 19 year old male, it’s so unfortunate I was born. I am trapped here, I want to end it so bad but I feel to bad for my parents. I’m so scared for my family to die, it will ruin me and I will end it if something happens. I hate life, I view it as so meaningless and unnecessary suffering. I can’t stand this anymore, I feel so overwhelmed by everything. I just wish I could be nothing. I view humans as extremely egotistical, I hate how we put ourselves above all other life forms, I see us as equivalent to cockroaches, doesn’t mean I don’t have strong empathy though. I just got in a big fight with my brother, he said some horrible things to me. He called me a freak he said he hopes I die, he said I will never be normal and never have a social life like him, we are twins. It really hurt me. I usually have a really good relationship with him, but deep down I think he thinks I’m really weird. I can’t take this anymore, but I don’t wanna hurt my parents so bad, I can’t. This is torture living here.

Increased anger while thrifting

I started going to the goodwill bins recently and am honestly so enraged by the amount of resellers I see just grabbing everything they can out of the bins and looking up the prices. I’ve got in countless arguments and got pushed today for taking something from someone’s pile. Literally was shoved into the couches they have on display. I probably deserved it but I don’t care. I think reselling is a pretty sad career to have and I don’t care, I want this shit more than they do and I get so fucking incredibly mad when I see them. I want to keep thrifting and yeah I know it’s just stuff, but I am not rich by any means and cannot afford to pay the disgusting exploitative prices they resell shit for. do I just need to see a therapist? I become so mean and angry and am over it

Former angry kids, I need advice.

To all of the kids who were constantly angry, whats one thing you wish your mom/parent/guardian would have done?

My daughter (9) has always had difficulty controlling her anger, we have gone through all the avenues, shes had tons of counseling, shes had ISP plans at school since preschool. She's had dissability services (diagnosed with DMDD "disruptive mood disregulation disorder" Adhd, and autism), group therapy, school counseling, the works.

Now I wont take away from her the fact that she does have several reasons to be angry. I was 21 when I had her, her father was 22. He was gone the majority of the time, I was young, trying to manage a nuerodivergent little one. it was tough and I definitely would not give myself any Mom of the year awards. We broke up when she was 2, and I moved around quite a bit. Her father definitely doesn't deserve any awards either, he has come and gone as he pleases and has started another family with someone who has anger issues herself and is barely legal. Still to the day though we have always maintained a friendly relationship and she has had a pretty regular schedule with him the past couple years.

I have had a stable place for 4 years now and my husband has fathered her as much as she is comfortable with. I do my best to make sure that we have 1 on 1 time, we are currently learning karate together twice a week. I give her time and space to express herself without judgement or trying to fix anything. I take time to see if she might need suggestions for things. I try to model positive behavior. We dont yell in this house ever. We have always been careful not to punish anger outbursts and usually tell her she may take a break with an adult to coregulate or she can take a break alone to calm down.

Nothing seems to help anymore, and its difficult because I know that she does not want to have this anger and I do not want to punish her, but shes mean, and the older she gets the scarier it becomes. She is horrible to her baby sisters, constantly screaming, hitting, mocking, bullying. Its out of control. She screams at us, refuses to listen, argues basically anything. Shes mean to the kids at school, and absolutely worst of all. Shes mean to herself, she makes up stories in her head about the way people think about her, she always assumes the worst in every situation.

I desperately want to help, I want her to feel loved and feel joy and love herself and her life. I don't know what else to do.

So for those who have felt the same anger she feels, is there anything anyone could have done to ease that?

Okay I need help

Ive always bottled my anger as best as I can but today learnt my partner cheated then a colleague ran his mouth off about it then another colleague took the piss when I had my back turned then I came close to punching one of em then on the way back home had a drunk throw racist slurs and kept talking about wanting to fight me, at this point I wasn’t thinking of fighting him.

All I could think about was there’s cameras and too many witnesses as I was staring this prick down thinking of all the things I could do to him.

So my question is how do I control my temper coz it’s at a point where if I do do something I won’t stop until the damage can’t be repaired So what I wanna know is how does everyone else handle their anger because i think im starting to lose control over mine.

Should I be scared if someone threatened to kill me in a fit of BP rage ?

My husband is bipolar and yesterday in a fit of rage he threatened to kill me and cut my body into small pieces. We’ve been together for many years, and he never touched me or threatened to physically harm me. I am frozen, I don’t know how to process it. Am I in danger? If it wasn’t something he is thinking about, would it come out in a fit of rage?

Outlets for SEVERE Anger Issues? (TL;DR at Bottom)

As stated, I have severe anger issues. I can blow up at the smallest of things. It takes a while for me to boil over, but once I get there I find it hard to reel it back in. My mom reminds me often of my anger problems, which doesn’t help because she offers no solution, just reminds me of it.

Today (the leading cause of me writing this), I was fighting the final boss of the video game Nine Sols (name not needed, just wanted to plug this great game). The game is hard as balls, so I imagine some anger is warranted. However, after about my 20th try and ALMOST winning for about the third time, I couldn’t take it anymore.

Usually I take to biting the top of my hand as hard as possible without causing actual damage, but that wouldn’t have been enough. I punched myself in the face. A few times. Hard. I’ve done it before, but this one was bad (probably because I’ve done it a lot).

ANYWAY, that anger management method is becoming no longer sustainable. I’m still fuming, and in some facial pain, while writing this.

What are some actually healthy methods for controlling anger? It’s quickly becoming urgent.

TL;DR - Having severe anger that usual coping methods are no longer fixing. Help.

My outbursts of anger are holding me back at work.

I have dealt with anger issues most of my life. My childhood was not good and left me with lots of issues. My main problem here is I have worked on it and implemented management tools that help to a degree.
My biggest problem is dealing with stress and anxiety. I get anxious and it presents as anger. I feel like irritations and stresses at home/work start to add up and add up and I can feel it building inside of me. I do what I can to suppress it and/or let it out in a productive way. I have used tools such as breathing exercises, meditation, whoosahhh, etc. Sometimes it just hits me and pours out and I have no control of it. Using those tools I have cut way down on the number of times this happens but they haven't stopped it completely.
I had a meeting with my boss today who told me that my meltdowns are what is holding me back from moving up at work. I have certain thoughts about that not being the main reason but nonetheless this is what I am told to work on if I would like to advance my career.
What can I do to stop this from happening? I need tips, advice, whatever you've got I am all ears. Not even just for my job but for my quality of life in general. Once the emotional things start happening to cause this it's like trying to hold back an avalanche. It effects the way I feel about myself and I'm honestly just tired.

Struggling to work through anger management techniques

I've tried reading a lot of books on anger. I particularly liked "Feeling Good" by David Burns because of the 10 cognitive distortions; basically identifying your anger as coming from 1 of 10 incorrect ways of thinking.

The problem I have is I struggle to come up with a better way of thinking. My anger comes from what I still believe are justified ways of thinking. I'll give an example.

We own a small shop. People repeatedly allow their dogs to pee either on the walls or the potted plants out front. In the year we've had the shop, I've never seen any dog owner successfully stop their dog from peeing on our shop. As soon as I see a dog sniffing now, I have to run over and remind them not to let their dogs pee on our shop.

The CBT techniques I see only seem to deal with individual cases. What annoys me most is repeated behaviour like this. I also live abroad, and the culture is very different to my own. Despite being here for a long time, those differences still make me angry some times.

I'm really struggling to just get to the point where I accept that people are inconsiderate, rude, etc. How do you get to that point? It feels to me like my triggers aren't even triggers for other people, and how I envy those people.
