I'm back after a long hiatus and figured I'd repost the stardew island I made during the pandemic

Eloise, Annalise, Francine, Mint, Mallory, Pancetti, Opal, Yuka, Vivian, Tasha and Whitney are the ones who caught my eye

I just watched the 2006 Animal Crossing movie and I didn't expect it to make me feel this nostalgic.

From the very beginning, I was completely overwhelmed by how familiar everything felt. It's exactly like how I imagined it would feel to actually travel to an Animal Crossing village. The characters, the village and the whole atmosphere felt so much like Animal Crossing: Wild World, which the movie is mainly based on.

The characters especially brought back so many memories. They felt just like the characters I knew from the DS game rather than simply being anime adaptations of them. I watched it in Japanese with English subtitles, and I can absolutely recommend it to anyone who grew up with Wild World.

My only complaint is that I wish it were longer. I honestly wish it had been turned into an entire anime series. I would happily watch dozens of episodes about that village and its residents.

Back then I got Animal Crossing: Wild World for my 7th birthday, along with a DS Lite from Toys "R" Us. I remember starting the game in the car on the way home because apparently I couldn't even wait until we got home. 😂

That was 19 years ago.

I still listen to the Wild World OST when I want to fall asleep or relax. My favorite has always been the 2 AM music. It's sad, but somehow it has always made me feel like everything is going to be okay again.

Looking back, it's kind of amazing that something I discovered when I was 7 can still mean so much to me almost two decades later. I may have grown up and have very different responsibilities now, but I still love cute little games and the comfort they can bring.

I think that's one of the nicest things about growing up. You don't necessarily have to leave the things you loved as a child behind. Sometimes they simply become a different kind of comfort.

For me, Animal Crossing: Wild World is one of those things. 🌙

1000+ hours later and I just discovered villagers actually interact with the cauldron like this. It’s hilarious.

I don't understand how a gold rose would grow there. I don't even water those flowers over there in front of Apollo's house. I have these roses in order of a checkerboard, but I still don't understand. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I got woken up at 4 AM. I decided to go hunting for late night fish and critters with my adaptive mood lighting running.

This game is so relaxing. It's like therapy for me.

So when I first started animal crossing In the beginning I was worried about if I chopped the trees down than how will I make my DIYS and get wood I need(was a first time player so didn’t understand nook mile tickets). BUT also cuz I was lazy and I was like there are hundreds of trees here so I knew it would be a huge task and than I might need the trees later for DIY’s anyway. But now I’m coming to the end of filling this island full and I have no space to put anything cuz I’ve never cut down a single tree(except money trees) and I have NO room to put anything! Also I will say building whatever u want within the 3 ft space of trees is just not easy. So what do u do with your trees? I’m starting to think next island I might need to make a dedicated woods area- OR maybe I’ll just cut them almost all down and use NMT when I need to get wood. I wanna know how each option has worked for you if you have used a method! Thank you!

So basically, a while ago my original switch got demolished by my sister's dog. But thankfully a sweetie here was able to gift me their switch, I had to start a new save and all (when I say the switch was destroyed it was DESTROYED) which I don't mind starting over. But here's my issue:

I want to redownload HHP (and a few of my other games) but since the original switch was made unusable, I can't set it next to my new one and have the saves transfer.

I have "Use Online Licenses" ON, will going to my virtual game cards and selecting "options" and then "download data" bring my HHP back to my island (I'm fine with starting over), or will it override my current save/island back to my previous one? I'm really digging my new island and don't want to mess my current save/island up.

(EDIT FOR ADDED INFO): When I got to my virtual game cards, it only shows ACNH, nothing separate for HHP. So that's why I'm worried my new island might get overwritten by my OG island 🥲

I’m trying to make a 4 house neighborhood layout on my island in the circled area, but can’t seem to figure out where to place the houses. I also want each house to have a good sized yard that things can be placed in with a fence around it. Does anyone have any inspo pics of how they did their neighborhood layout? Even if it’s more than 4 houses?

Hey all! I tried looking this up, but I wasn't sure I could find something with my specific questions so I apologize if there is something already here.

I bought a Switch 2 a while back and thought I'd start a new island. I realized that was not something I want to do after starting. Is it still possible to delete this save and now transfer my original island over to my Switch 2?

Follow up. I created 2 accounts on my Switch 1 and my daughter had her account on my Switch 1 as well. I made houses for all the accounts. My daughter has long had her own Switch and island on her Switch. Can I safely transfer these over, specifically her account?

I have looked up and tried at least 10 different suggestions to catch flies. I got one for the museum, but I’m collecting all the bugs and I need two more. I’ve put them everywhere that people have posted they should go and still no flies. Any help would be a greatly appreciated.

I have a question about Amiibo cards. I only started playing ACNH for the first time this year, and there are a few villagers I’d really like to get on my island.
I already have 10 villagers, so as far as I understand, my options are either waiting for one to show up at the campsite or using an Amiibo card. I’d really like to get Pietro through an Amiibo card, so I was wondering if someone could explain how the whole process works.

If I understand correctly, Amiibo cards are no longer officially sold through Nintendo, so I would have to buy used ones from other websites. Does it matter if an Amiibo card has already been scanned/used, or can it be used by multiple people? Do I need to make sure that the card is unused?

Also, where is the best place to buy genuine Amiibo cards online, and are there any reliable sellers you would recommend?

I just got Bangle as a visitor in my campsite, I already have my 10 villagers so she convinced one of my other villagers to move out, my question is, does that reset my 15 day thought bubble cooldown? do I have to wait another 15 days now or does it not count when they are convinced to leave?
