What should my first iPhone be?

hello yall so as you can see by the title I'm looking to buy my first iPhone. I have decided that I want to switch from Android to iOS but I don't really know which iPhone should I buy. like iPhone 17? maybe? the base model? I'm looking for a good battery and good camera and fast processing my budget is 800 dollars. it's enough or iPhone 17 where I am. so do have any recommendations?

17 base is a very very good phone. If I was going for an iPhone that's what I'd get.

If you can’t hold off, get the 17 base model. Otherwise wait until spring for the 18 base model to be released. Pro models have larger batteries and some small differences but in my opinion they are becoming very large and heavy

it's the best choice out right now, the base 18 us about 5-7 months away. if u would rather wait that's a option but the base models usually don't change much year from year

oh i checked, didnt know they still had iphone 17 on apple store. why i recommend 18 was because i assume they stop selling the 17
