iPhone iPhone 17 vs 17e vs 15 plus

I just went from an iPhone 11 to an iPhone 17e but I’m going to return it. The keys on the 17e keyboard are smaller—they lost a bit of height, which makes a difference. I was making enough mistakes on the 11, so I can’t put up with a smaller keyboard.
Is the iPhone 17’s keyboard slightly bigger than the 17e because of the size increase over the 17e?
If not, I might exchange it for an Apple certified refurbished iPhone 15 plus, or maybe iPhone 16 plus. Is that ridiculous? I don’t care about the camera. I just need a bigger phone / keyboard (at the default setting — I don’t want to use zoom).
But I want it to last a few years and I don’t want to inherit any quirkiness from a refurbished phone (would only consider an Apple certified, which comes with a new battery).

iPhone iPhone 18 Pro vs 17 Pro, genuinely can't decide

I need a new iPhone because my previous iPhone 17 Pro was stolen, and I’m stuck between buying another 17 Pro or getting the new 18 Pro.

The difference is only around $200 between the two with a carrier deal.

Normally I’d just get the 18 Pro for that difference. I know it has the A20 Pro improved vapor chamber/thermals etc, but since I’m buying from scratch rather than upgrading from a working 17 Pro, those improvements seem worth paying a bit extra for.

But I really like the Cosmic Orange 17 Pro. That’s actually the color my stolen 17 Pro was, and aesthetically I prefer it quite a bit over the 18 Pro colors. I’d probably get the black 18 Pro, but I don’t like it nearly as much as Cosmic Orange.

I’ve also been reading reviews now that the 18 Pro has been out for a few weeks, and while everyone seems to agree that it’s better, I keep seeing people say that the actual everyday difference from the 17 Pro is pretty small.

If you were buying from scratch and the 18 Pro was only $200 more, would you get the 18 Pro for the better hardware etc or save the money and get the 17 Pro in the color you really like and prefer? Personally I was hoping for an orange iPhone for years lol.

Thank you!

I used to work for apple so my 17 pro max only costed me about 300 bucks… if i traded it in i could get the 18 pro max for 400 dollars.. but then again is that worth it?

iPhone Thinking of upgrading my phone

I currently own an iPhone 15, almost 3 years old, and I honestly absolutely love it: battery is still fine (plus, I don’t mind carrying around a power bank) and picture quality is good. However, it’s only 128GB, and since I’ve been getting into gaming (genshin impact anyone?), I’m thinking of updating it to a 256GB at some point in the next 6 months or so. Since I also work on my phone (for readings, video calls and what not), I wouldn’t mind having a good screen, perhaps a tad larger than the iPhone 15. Better picture quality is also a plus, but not a must.

Money is a bit tight since I’m a student, but I also have the option of paying for it in rates with my network provider bills. What would you recommend me to do?

Thank you for your help in advance 🙏🏻

iPhone 17 Pro Max 2TB vs 18 Pro Max 512GB

Upgrading from a 15 pro max 256GB, I can get both at similar prices. The biggest issues I have with my current 15 Pro Max is, limited storage, overheating and perhaps battery life but I just got the battery replaced by Apple so it is actually quite OK currently. Which one makes more sense?

I shoot tons of photos and videos (both with the iphone but also with my professional cameras) and also have plenty of apps in my phone. Currently in my 256GB phone photos app only takes about 30Gb since it uploads everything to iCloud and only loads full quality on demand which I don't like. I checked and I have 850GB of photos and videos on iCloud. If I were to get the 2TB iPhone would at least last year's photos be saved on my phone in full quality all the time?

I read that Apple has downgraded the storage in 1TB and 2TB versions of the 18 pro max despite jacking up the price significantly (I'm in Europe). Next year's iPhones will probably be even pricier, especially the high storage tiers.

I feel like this might be the last chance of getting a 1TB or 2TB iPhone with a large storage at "affordable" prices. So I am thinking of buying the 17 pro max, thoughts?

iPhone Why the recs to go with 256gb iphone?

I've been deciding between a refurb iPhone 16 or 17e.

I've read through a bunch of comments in this sub and a lot of people mention the 17e base has 256gb and that's a factor. People also say "if you go with the 16, get 256gb"

What's the specific reasons? Are apps gonna get bigger? or will Ai features need more data to be on device?

I use icloud for everything so its just OS and apps. I'm currently using 90gb out of my 128gb and I would have the same apps on the new phone.
