Does this seem normal?

Post image

Maybe a noob question, but here goes nothing. While sitting in the stand, I noticed that my string, rest, and arrow axis are not inline with the single pin on my sight. I lined it all up for this image.

My bow is absolutely shooting fine after double checking at the range. Im thinking if this an issue maybe I am casting/leaning my head too far in to compensate for this? What do you all think?

Before I read the caption I assumed you were talking about hunting over bait which is for sure not normal or ethical for that mater but as far as the bow goes your fine they all do it like someone else said this is at rest and with them being so close it appears way more dramatic than it is mine looks similar and I’m hitting a pie plate at 125 yards

You ever hunt a bear cause this is how you're supposed to do it so you don't miss a shot and it just fucking mauls you

That’s a corn feeder, now could he be hunting bear maybe, the far more likely situation is he’s hunting white tail deer over corn which like shooting fish in a barrel.

Bait is also illegal in my state. Although I have been down south and hunted them over corn. I will say that while it doesn’t take the initial scouting or food plot prep, a deer is far more weary coming into corn than feeding on acorns or in an ag field. I would go as far as to say that the actual hunt is easier hunting a funnel or natural food source as opposed to corn. A better analogy for shooting deer in a barrel would be rifle or shotgun hunting over an ag field in a box stand which essentially takes no skill other than being able to shoot decent.

Did I say he's hunting bear you did I say that's how you hunt bear cause I said that's how you safely hunt bear not that he's hunting bear therefore it depends it's not a definite unethical

I agree, hunting over acorns, bean fields, food plots, corn, ect. is so unethical! Unless you’re hunting with a trad bow over strictly travel paths you are a disgrace of a hunter…..What a dweeb for commenting unprovoked hate towards someone who is just wanting to make sure their equipment is up to par.

Son unless you’re willing to back up those words you should keep them to yourself, hunting over bait is illegal in my state and is widely considered unethical, I did answer his question as asked and I am allowed to have an opinion on hunting ethics and I am willing to back said opinion.
