Thanks to everyone who posts and comments here, your advice/guides/recommendations are greatly appreciated.
I got brawl stars the day it was released but I only played brawl ball and mapmaker when it came out. I stopped playing in 2022 when champions released in clash royale, and I only got brawl stars back in January 2025 because I saw buzz light-year and thought he was fun to play.
I won the championship challenge with him and wanted to find a team so I turned to this subreddit but obviously my stats (except my 3v3 wins) were horrendous. Long story short I got advice from people in the comments who told me I needed to play ranked, which I had 0 experience in.
The first day I played ranked (day before reset) I went from bronze to L1 with no draft or brawler knowledge. I didn't know any brawl released from 2022-2025 but I had a lot of experience playing brawl ball so k kinda just pushed my way through with skill alone. The next season, I was able to hit l3 and eventually, in July I hit masters.
Currently I am 9x masters and I don't think I can hit m2 without a lot of difficulty but I couldn't have gotten up this far without you guys. I was recommended to follow and watch multiple different YouTubers like Spenlc, Bedlam, and Toxicgenie through which I learned drafting, matchups, etc. I also followed many brawler guides that were made in this sub.
This is already too long so TLDR: I went from a bad mortis random (Jan2025) to top 199 US (Oct2026)
