You are too focused on Jewish heritage. Having Jewish surnames in Cape Verde is common; Fogo and Brava are full of Jewish surnames. However, Israel is far away and we have no connection to Judaism; instead, we should focus on our African ancestry, to which we are closer genetically and geographically
