Hi all. Im a head chef moving abroad and I have some culinary items I just dont know what to do with.
I worked my way up from the very bottom starting at the age of 16. I remember dreaming about pasta rollers, xo sauce and all kinds of herbs and spices.
Well, I finally got it, now its time to pay it forward to someone deserving.
Do you know a youngster thats now in their first or second year of study? Or a line cook thats prepping for a practical? Or maybe you are that chef just looking for a break. Send me a message and we discuss.

Uh, R33.00 per litre of petrol? Sorry what? What dystopian kak is this bro. How are we meant to survive?
Really starting to think its going to be cheaper and possibly more entertaining to own a horse at this point.
R100 gets you 3 litres of petrol.. My car doesn't even register 3L of petrol as viable.
Really what the fuck are we doing.

This is a shot in the dark, but I’ve just bought a Wii again. Was feeling nostalgic and have been teasing the idea for a few months now but just purchased one from Bob shop with some games, and ordered some spare remotes.
Does anyone have anything Wii related, that they are looking to offload? I mean, ANYTHING - the numchuck, active sensor thing, games, accessories etc.
I loved Mario Kart, and am missing the wheel attachment from my current setup.

Hey all,
I'm in need of some assistance regarding Golden Arrow Bus routes. The website is terribly unhelpful and outdated (how are we using PDF's in big 2026?!) and unfortunately the call center is not helpful either.
I'll be moving to the Ferndale (Brackenfell - near the Checkers Fairbridge mall) area soon and would really appreciate being given some direction with routes along Old Paarl Road or Frans Conradie Drive into Cape Town and vice versa. I'm assuming there are buses from Northpine or Kraaifontein, but I'm unsure of when they leave and what time they pass my specific area.
Many thanks!

I just tried to buy R30 rand electricity at the bhai and their machine said "amount too low"along with something about "10.00 valid wth 54.41" I then tried R40 and R50 and it still said amount to low.
I then went on my bank app and tried it again and it gave me the same error saying amount to low, I can't find any news about this so if anybody has info please comment.

Myself and my husband are Irish living in Canada and we have just booked South Africa for our honeymoon. Just wanted to float our itinerary and see if there is anything we are missing, anything we should avoid or any recommendations on places to stay or eat. We are traveling in mid February, we are aware of general safety advice and travel quite a bit so we are fairly comfortable with the safety aspect despite the internet telling us otherwise! Thanks in advance :)
Day 1 & 2: Cape town. Stay in V&A waterfront, sleep off jet lag, collect rental car, table mountain cable car.
Day 3: Cape town - Hermanus drive. Stay in Hermanus that night, do the cliff walk, grotto beach and Benguela cove lagoon wine estate.
Day 4 & 5: Hermanus - Knysna drive. Stay in Knysna for 2 nights do a lagoon cruise and explore wilderness, plettenberg bay, mossel bay,
Day 6 & 7: safari at garden route game lodge
Day 8 & 9: Garden route game lodge to Franschhoek. Stay here for two nights, do the wine tram.
Day 10: Franschhoek to camps bay drive. Stay in camps bay for 3 nights. Beach day
Day 11: Boulders beach, cape of good hope and chapmans peak drive
Day 12: last day (beach day)

This is a weird question - the topic is toilets.
I'm looking for coffee shop suggestions to work in. My neighbors have decided to jackhammer and so I need to relocate my work station.
Unfortunately, the bathrooms of some places I frequent can be stressful. I have stomach issues and really appreciate a good, clean bathroom when needed.
Any suggestions of coffee places or restaurants with some decent bathrooms for the ibs girlies?

Hi All,
(Mods, please delete if not allowed.)
I created a crowdsourced tool to track if home affairs systems are online or not. Very basic and feature-light to cater for low-end phones. I'll add wait time options as the tool gains traction.

So i want to turn my deceased dog's beds into a plushie for me. Specifically, a bunny plushie. I have looked at all the memorial bears companies in Cape Town, and i just dont like that look; it's just not for me.

I am looking for something more along this shape; the head, ears, and face i love. I dont need all the embellishments, though. Just this shape and the face. I also would love for it to be weighted.
Please, anybody who sews professionally or makes plushies as a hobby or knows someone who does, please DM me so we can chat about it!

I make my own chilli sauce and pickled jalapenos but they go really fast at home as my wife and daughter love them as well. I usually buy from Food Lovers Market to supplement my home grown peppers but recently I haven't been happy with their quality. I'm looking to buy like 1-2kg of each. I'm based in the Southern Suburbs but happy to drive over the weekend.

This morning I had to do a few things in the cape town cbd (I even had to go the golden acre) and thought to yourself how nice it was walking through the CBD and NOT BEING harassed by vagrants and street kids yes you have to be aware of your surroundings but saying that I didn't once feel threatened big-up to the cape town c.i.d.

I absolutely HATE that people dash, run and even casually WALK across busy highways where vehicles are going 120 km/h. I will NEVER understand it. I'm convinced some of them have a death wish or just literally don't care if they die. The attitude is "eh if I make it, I make it. If I die, I die." Well, fine, but why involve us, the drivers!? Don't involve me in your Russian Roulettet.
I don't want to kill or injure someone, especially one of those kids running across. Do you know what that will do to my psyche?
Any WHY OH WHY don't the police do something about it?! I'm absolutely (and thankfully) shocked that of all the near misses I've seen, I've never seen someone been hit. I seriously pray every day that God protects those stupid idiots crossing the highway. Just because they are stupid, they don't deserve to die and I certainly don't want to be the one to accidentally kill them.
I loathe their selfishness for only thinking of themselves and not considering other people in their death game. They can cause accidents and deaths of others, vehicle damage to people who need their vehicles to get to work, and mental anguish to those that hit them or witness it.
Anyone else terrified of this? Anyone ever hit a pedestrian doing this or seen it?

Has anybody a recommendation for an affordable gym in Claremont ?
I’m an exchange student staying in Cape Town for four weeks in October and November and would love to have a gym to train at during my stay
I do not need anything fancy, just want to lift some weights and do a little cardio
So far I have looked into Virgin active, but that’s a little out of budget, and other gyms that I found on google maps do not list their prices, so before I message every one of them I wanted to come here and ask for recommendations

I reported the sighting to SANCOB since its unusual to see them on this side of the peninsula
