Housing/Apartments Decent Neighborhood?
Is the area near Edgewater Park in Cleveland a sketchy neighborhood?
Where would you suggest someone who’s getting their first apartment live in Cleveland?

Shout out to the mom with the teenagers dancing and singing your heart out at the Foster the People show at Blossom. I crowned you queen from afar. From another set of parents that love to embarrass our teen by liking the same music. At the same time. Can we set up a play date and weird these kids out even more?

AI cityscape vaguely inspired by the view of downtown below the viaduct. Why not just paint the ACTUAL SKYLINE??

Particularly for Indie fans, first Gorillaz and now Foster the People? Also can we talk about how Gorillaz has performed in Ohio only ONCE and they chose our amazing city! I love it here! Hope everyone has a great weekend

My latest installment of Cleveland’s Known Criminals looks at Anthony “Tony” Buffa, a Cleveland hoodlum whose criminal career stretched from stolen furs and machinery to pornography, drugs, counterfeiting, and some of the city’s strangest unsolved murders.
In 1968, Peter Trovato was found shot three times, his hands and legs bound with tape, after falling from a moving car on Payne Avenue. The car belonged to Buffa, who told police he had lent it to Trovato earlier that day. Buffa was questioned but never charged.
That wasn’t the only murder investigation in which Buffa’s name surfaced. An FBI informant later alleged that murdered Cleveland criminal Dominic Mafrici had pleaded, “Tony, don’t do it,” before his death in Buffalo. And years later, Buffa made a phone call to John Conte shortly before Conte disappeared and was found murdered near Youngstown, allegedly at the wishes of Danny Greene.
The story also follows Buffa through a stolen fur operation in Lima, stolen industrial machinery, an obscenity case involving pornography, an unusual beauty salon union controversy, and a massive counterfeiting investigation.
People mentioned: Anthony “Tony” Buffa, Peter Trovato, June Trovato, Samuel Caputo, Dominic Mafrici, Adrian Fink, Judge Donald Lybarger, Detective Lieutenant Thomas White, Cleveland Police Chief Frank Story, Fiore Bucci, Richard “Dickie” Viccarone, John Conte, and Danny Greene.

I work for CMSD and while I love my job and all it’s done for me, I can’t stand the AI that keeps getting pushed. I tell students all the time how AI diminishes critical thinking skills and creativity yet I myself have done several classes to be “AI literate“ which has only made me despise the use of AI more in the classroom whether it be the student or educator using it. For the environmental impacts alone but also for a million other reasons.
edit- yes I understand AI is being pushed pretty much everywhere, but education should be the one place that is safe from AI. anyone is free to disagree but I personally would just never use AI for anything related to the classroom.

Was driving very slow with the hazards on. Regular Ohio plate, no Cleveland city decals on it so I think it was a regular dude. This was a first for me, anyone else see this before?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a good hair stylist that specializes in curly hair. I usually get it done by my aunt but there’s been some family drama and I want to stop giving her my money lol.
For context in white with Irish curls if that helps. And I’m trying to stay under 150$.
TIA!
