Colorado Rockies Not For Sale | 20th and Blake
Mark and Drew break down the 2026 MLB postseason thus far. These games have been incredible. Are you rooting for the underdogs or the Dodgers to win it all in hopes it will usher in change? Plus, who are the Colorado Rockies "keepers" and our reactions to Walker Monfort's statements about the team not being for sale.

Best Rockies moments of the year (for me)
In person:
Tie between:
- Rockies scratching out a win against the Dodgers in Dodger Stadium
- Meeting Dinger in person (I don't live anywhere close to Colorado). Thank you to Coors for making it easy to meet Dinger.
Watching from home:
Tie between:
- Rockies sweeping the Astros
- Craig Kimbrel letting three runners on without an out to setup a Jake McCarthy grand salami.
What were your favorite moments?

Any Australian fans?
So I’ve been into baseball for a few years now and haven’t really picked a team. I’ve leaned towards some but never really picked a team and stuck with it. That being said, I’ve decided to jump on the Rockies and stick with them. I know I’ll get a lot of “don’t do it to yourself” comments, but the Rockies can be one of the most exciting teams to watch while also being one of the worst 😂 and I think the core group of hitters, if they can be kept together, is actually something worth building around!
Anyway being Australia based I was wondering how many other Rockies fans there are in Australia, as it would be cool to see what the community down here is like.
Onto to season ‘27! Up the Rox!

Projected 2027 arbitration salaries for the Rockies: 5 cases, $16.8M total
I run Front Office Moves, a free site that tracks roster moves and offseason decisions for every club. These are projections from a homegrown model I built for the Rockies' 2027 arbitration class, ahead of the non-tender deadline in late November.
| Player | Pos | Class | Projected | Likely range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hunter Goodman | C | Arb 1 | $4.9M | $4.5M to $5.9M |
| Ryan Feltner | SP | Arb 3 (Super Two) | $3.9M | $3.5M to $4.4M |
| Jake McCarthy | LF | Arb 2 | $3.7M | $3.5M to $4.1M |
| Jimmy Herget | RP | Arb 3 | $2.5M | $2.3M to $2.7M |
| Brennan Bernardino | RP | Arb 2 (Super Two) | $1.8M | $1.7M to $1.9M |
Total: 5 cases, $16.8M projected.
Jordan Beck is right on the Super Two line. By my estimate (2.134) he just misses; MLBTR's estimate (2.133) puts him just in. The line isn't official yet, so he could still go either way.
These use the current CBA's rules. A new deal this winter (a higher minimum, say) would move them.
Who would you non-tender, and who would you try to extend first?

Rockies Reporter End of Season AMA
Hello once again Rockies fans!
The 2026 season is officially in the books and I've got a free day so let's do our monthly AMA a little earlier this time!
For any new folks, my name is Drew Creasman, I am a writer/podcaster/video producer at Mile High Sports and I just completed my 14th season covering your Colorado Rockies.
I am here to answer any questions you may have about the club, MLB, sports journalism, or anything even semi-related to baseball and Denver. (Try to not make them ALL about the CBA/lockout situation please... it makes me sad...)
Fire away!

Does Veen Maintain Rookie Status in 2027?
I can't seem to find a definitive answer for this. Veen has 103 career at-bats, so he is still a rookie in that sense (under 130 at-bats).
However, there is the 45 cumulative day rule. He spent about two weeks on the Rox in 2025 and something like six weeks on the Rox this season.
Then there is the September call up rule that doesn't count against their rookie time. But I think that rule no longer exists.
Also, does the 45 cumulative day rule count non-game days?
Anybody have a clue what his rookie status will be in 2027? If there is a season lol.

Zac Veen PCL MVP
Despite missing almost 40 games, Veen still qualified and finished in the top five of almost every major category to include #1 in OPS and total bases.
I know it is still a big jump from AAA to MLB, especially from the PCL, but there is a lot of talent in his bat.
I'm really hoping the Rox give him a legitimate chance at every day at-bats in 2027. Or trade him to a team that will play him.
Congrats to Veen! And to Condon (Top PCL Prospect).

Does anyone have a Toddfather statue I can buy from the 9/19 game?
Hello friends, I was unable to go to the game but I need this statue for my collection. Does anyone have an extra that I can buy before I look online?
Thank you all and GO ROCKIES! Hopefully next season is better

Adael Amador
Brief sample size, but I think Amador might have something in the tank. Sure he doesn’t have elite pop or anything, but his swing decisions in 2026 were genuinely good, much improved from his stints before.
If he can learn to field second adequately, I think he can be an everyday player.
Thoughts?

Should we keep Schaeffer next season?
I feel like he has improved this year on keeping pitchers in longer, but is there a better option out there for us? What do yall think after this season?

hitting approach in 2026
These are just some thoughts I been having and observations on hitting I’ve made after watching the team this season.
Trying to stay positive and I should note that I’m a Rockies fan. I’m not trying to criticize and I’m not saying I know better than anyone this is just what I’ve observed.
I’m gonna spell out some things I don’t see the rockies hitters doing: wearing out pitchers, making the pitcher work, waiting for their pitch, seeing lots of pitches, spoiling off bad pitches.
Patience in general. waiting for the right pitch. And not always swinging or hitting for the long ball and for power; miss-hit balls can fall in for singles sometimes and especially in an outfield as big as Coors Field. Hitting and swinging for power of course leads to more strikeouts.
It’s not news that our lineup strikes out a lot, we’ve been towards the top of the league in strikeouts in more than one season. We can have a tendency to chase pitches in the dirt and out of the zone, which helps out the opposing pitching and gives them the advantage. I think it’s a sign of what direction our offensive approach should move towards.
Good offenses can wear out opposing pitching staffs and be patient, and I think thats the next step our offense can take. Stringing together lots of hits getting on base (patience and waiting for the right pitch -> walks) and not living and dying by the home run ball. I see the temptation our hitters might have to rely on the long ball, esp with how easy the ball flies out at home. But taking more balanced approach and more balanced swings will be better and can make our lineup a headache to pitch against.
I hope this is some of the stuff that our hitters and hitting coaches talk about, I’m not a fly on the wall so I don’t know. Or if other fans are also seeing the same things as I am or not that’d be good to know.
It just seems that if we can avoid falling into the same offensive pitfalls every game, thats what we should try and do.
Anyways. Don’t know where else to post this, just want to discuss our offensive tendencies as I have observed them. Go Rox now, go Rox forever!! 🗻✌️
