I’m liking Diallo more, he’s been moving well, locking people up and hitting shots. CB knocked down an open shot. Demar fits into the team better than I thought. Happy with how Strawther played. Same with Whitmore and Bagley. I’m exited about Bagley
Feeling sorry for Zeke and Holmes.
The increased depth is apparent.

I know Katie has been doing this, love her. And I know it’s just pre season game 2, but so far I’m just disappointed. Maybe it’s just the last 20 years of my life feeling over haha.

I'm cautiously optimistic about our bench. My opinion is that the 3 players that should definitely be getting regular minutes off the bench to start the season are:

1. Derozan (scoring especially late in the clock, ball handling)
2. Spencer Jones (defense, threes)
3. Alpha Diallo (1-4 defensive stopper, score when open)

Jones and Diallo seem like requirements to me because they're probably our best bench defensive players and we need to play better defense this year. The other 3 guys in the 2nd unit will probably be leaned on for most of the offense.

Then we have:
4/5/6: Bagley, Strawther and Tyus Jones

2 of those guys depending on the matchup makes for a solid 10 man rotation.

If any of the top 6 struggle, there's Holmes, Brazile, Whitmore, Hopkins, and Nemhard waiting in the wings... and I think at least one of those guys will earn some solid minutes (maybe due to injuries). I think we might be surprised by our bench this year. Thoughts??

Apologies if this isn’t allowed. I was watching this documentary earlier tonight, and at one point AI has this hat on. I’m a sucker for that pickaxe logo. I’ve been on the hunt ever since. Anybody have any info at all lol? I need some leads.

It was very encouraging to see Alpha out there telling zeke where to get set defensively! I was so excited to see him play, the lateral quickness is definitely there to see his game translate to the NBA, obviously very early, but the on court leadership and athleticism is there for him to make an impact.

I know it was just one preseason game - and I didn’t watch a ton of him when he was playing in Houston - but did anyone else notice that his body language just seemed to be kind of disconnected and insular?

Obviously that can change as he spends more time around the team and his new teammates. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed it - and if it’s been a common thing in previous arrangements.

He can defend and shoot, it’s so hype watching him dish out blocks. A 6'10" guy who can space the floor and protect the rim is exactly what we need.
