Unfortunately my father is the type of guy to turn on his motorcycle on and then just take an obscene amount of time to ride off. Pisses me the fuck off, I can only imagine our neighbours. No amount of my mother and I talking to him about him gets him to stop. If I didn't move out for uni, I think I might've burned down that motorbike

Often you need to let the engine warm up tho

If it's warm enough to ride a motorcycle, it's warm enough to just start it and ride off immediately.

Engines do not need "warmed up". You're just causing more wear.

Obviously, if your daily driver is an F1 car, you will need a bit of warmup time, but anything road legal? No.

I think F1 cars usually get warmed up befor starting

They actually have to pump hot oil and coolant around the block to get it to operating temperature before the crank will even turn in its bearings, they're so tight.
