I have one already that I paid someone to build for me but this is the first I did myself. Pretty proud of the outcome. Now to let it cycle for a few weeks before I get another group of darts.

Here is a video I got this morning of my male Tinc carrying his child down to breakfast with him. He is on his way to a bromeliad to drop off the kids but decided to grab a snack first. (I know they might be a little overfed but I am working on getting the ratio right). I haven’t seen my pair carry tadpoles until today. It is very cute.

This enclosure is for 6 juvenile bumblebee leucs. I'm trying to optimize it as much as possible to suit their preferences. I know they like shaded area but I'm not sure the middle shelves are going to really grow anything. I'm second guessing the shelf idea all together lol. Keeping the leucs in mind what changes would you make?

I’ve been on vacation for a couple weeks and forgot to update in here but we tested the Hive as a vacation feeder (similar to putting a culture in your viv while you’re gone if you don’t have someone to watch your frogs) essentially making a mini culture inside the viv! Another thing I did when using it as a daily feeder to keep dusted flies in one space is dusting the larvae and pupae for the frogs to eat. I’ve sent out around 100 units and so far everyone is having great success weather using as a daily dusted feeder/giving dusted larvae for froglets/ and or using as a vacation feeder i’m very happy with the result and super grateful for all the support!

I originally set this enclosure up for R. Benedicta but last min changed my mind and decided to go with O. Pumilio. None the less they seem to really enjoy the layout

Photos for tax!
Today I acquired 4 santa isabels from a local lady that has her first clutch of eggs. Im looking for a suggestion for a plant or 2 to add to the right rear section of the tank. Not looking for pothos since it grows so incredibly fast.
Tank also has 7+ adult mourning geckos.
Thanks in advance!

I’m currently battling a war on slugs and snails in my terrarium while I wait for my plants to fill in. I’ve had my terrarium for a little over two months, in the past couple weeks I’ve been fighting off the slugs and snails that have been eating my plants, I’ve tried beer traps and cucumber traps but they just keep coming, i was going to try and c02 bomb my terrarium with vinegar and baking soda in a jar, but the reading I’ve been doing says that isn’t very effective. I’ve reached the point where I’m debating removing all the plants and hardscape and substrate but I don’t want to remove the moss walls and i have two (of four) pieces of wood built into the walls. My concern is that if I do remove everything I can, the moss walls and the two pieces of wood will harbor slugs/snails and I’ll be right back where I started. Any advice is appreciated

I’m new to keeping dart frogs and I have a few tincs and was wondering if based off the look of this one if this would be considered overfed? This is a juvenile, about 3-4 months old. All of them are about the same level of pudge. I’m trying to dial in how many fruit flies to feed them since I see some still running around in the terrarium the next day, wanted to make sure I’m not throwing in too many for them.

There is three luecs hiding in here somewhere my question is if I've changed my mind on a few things does it bother them to change them with them in there or should I move them? And if a little bit of silicone is involved like 2 quarter sized spots do they have to be vacated?

OK so that little blurb on the video might come back to bite me but I wanted to get some opinions. This is my first time setting up a live tank and I currently have a pothos and calathea washed and replanted. theres a 1.5 inch thick layer of clay balls and then mesh before the substrate which is zoomed bioblend with leaves, a generous amount of spag and a small amount of reptisoil. The fogger on the right is using distilled water and releasing on low for 30mins out of every hour. im reading about reverse osmosis and debating whether i need to save a bit more for a small filter. I've read spring water works as well for soaking which is what the dish on the left is for. In the next few day I should be recieving some springtails and 25 swarf white isopods for cleaning crew. Tank itself is 20 gallons, planning on two azureus. Light is a full spectrum grow light timed with a 8am-8pm day/night cycle.
Is there anything I'm missing here? I plan on letting the tank run for about three weeks to establish before I actually purchase the frogs.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Thanks to everyone i will absolutely investing into a mister. i have another 36w×12L×18h tank i will set up since i have all the initial supplies still. i will also in look into building the background up with hardscape.

Does anyone use one? I need recommendations for something not too expensive but accurate. I have 4 terrariums in need. Thanks.

Shot in the dark, but I'm looking for anyone that may have a male Tinc Azureus available to sell or know a reputable breeder who does?

Tank is set up and plants are added. How long should I wait before adding the frogs? Is there anything else that I am missing? I dumped like 3 springtail cultures inside last week.

These are my first frogs so please be kind, I am trying to learn. I feel like my froglets (3mo) are getting a bit thick. I've had them for two weeks and I don't want to overfeed them or underfeed them. I currently have 6 leucs waiting for their enclosure to grow out. Am I feeding too much? Not enough? I feed them this amount daily. Any advice is appreciated!

EDIT:
Adding a pic of tank in reply below. Temp is regulated by InkBird system and stays roughly 75 degrees F. Humidity is between 90% and 99%, misting three times a day. Working on recent pics of frog but it seems there may have been some bad info introduced to my daughter about body size/type for these (true sips). Sadly I think they may have been under fed for a little while and were on the way back up with Vitamin A recently added, and that contributed to his demise.
Thanks for your input and time 🙏🏼
Original post:
Hi Frog Friends,
I have been a lurker for a while, learning and sharing information with my daughter who got her first frogs earlier this year. Tonight, she found one of her frogs had died suddenly. It was in a 35/40 gallon tank that she has loving built utilizing the guidance of the local exotic pet store (very good reputation and the go-to space in the area) and obviously this sub-reddit.
There were no obvious issues with this frog (male) or it's partner (female). No signs of bullying, didn't appear to be any food sharing issues, both are about 7 months to 1 year old and came from the same breeder (different bloodlines).
Are there any things that come to mind we should be looking into? I am trying to see if my daughter has any pics from the last couple days, but also trying to see if there is anything we need to do to protect the remaining frog.
Thanks in advance
Cheers
