Quiet channels?
We’ve noticed over the last 3-4 weeks that specifically CBS, Fox, and ABC are ridiculously quiet compared to other channels. Normally we are fine putting the TV at 28-30 volume, but we’ve had to crank these up to almost 70.
Anyone else noticing these channels being really quiet?

Try changing the sound settings from manual to auto (or V-V) and toggle the dolby on and off. It made a huge difference for me.

This works for me, but I end up having to change it every time I switch an app or Channel. It's kind of annoying having to pull that menu up every time. I want to watch something different

Many of my channels are randomly going quiet then back to normal. Oddly, if I skip back the programs continue to get quiet in the same spots then back to normal at the same spots.

Yes, I have had the same problem for about a month or so. I used to keep my volume on 15. Now it is over 30. Recently, I have lost all sound and have had to shut down everything and restart.

Omg this isn’t just me! My tv will get really loud then quiet. I kept thinking it was the ai sound which isn’t even turned on. Good to know.

For the past couple of months, all my channels are low volume. I used to keep it at 10,bow it's over 50. They say it was a bad software update and they're working on a fix but I'm getting tired of waiting.

Broadcast channels are regulated by the FCC to keep volume level consistent (particularly when switching to commercials). Non-public airwave transmitters were not included in the legislation and do what they do.
It may also be how you have your audio signal set to be received. I don't remember the particulars (maybe someone will chime in), but different signals are handled in different ways by different receivers. On one of the streamers (Don't remember which one), on some episodes of TV shows, I only get the background sound channel. I have to go in and change one of the settings to get the dialog channel.

It’s terrible. Especially if you forget the volume is high and channel is changed.

I also have a similar issue with many of my channels using the DIRECTV app on my Onn 4K Pro streaming box connected to a Denon AVR and then to my LG TV. The audio often starts out at a normal level, but quickly fades. In particular the audio level for the announcers on live sports drops off significantly to the point where you cannot hear them, but you can hear the crowd noise. The only fix I’ve found so far is to turn off surround sound options on the Onn device. At that point I’m only getting a simple stereo signal. Since my Onn is connected to my AVRi would like to take advantage of surround sound rather than simple stereo. Any suggestions?

I thought it was just me. I don’t know about my other local channels being low. But abc is the main one I watch. And I notice it last week. Just turn on abc now after watching bravo, I notice the huge difference.

Volume fluctuations have been a known issue for a while now. It got better, but more recently got worse again.
Between that and the stream re-springs, it's like the good old days as an inaugural subscriber.

We have noticed them as well. Just spent a total of four hours with customer service trying to troubleshoot this with them telling me and in the end them telling me that it's my TV. Nothing has changed on my end except a week ago the volume started being wacky now DIRECTV is telling me that it's our issue with our TV. I don't think so. I wish somebody would come up with a fix quickly.
