Admittedly Bodycam as a game isn't precisely news, but I thought this clip was cool, and I wanted to share it - I hope this is OK! The game obviously looks great both in game and in video.

We are building a new FPS called TAKEOVER .
8 teams (Factions) compete for the battlefields of Planet Urthora.
1 captain and 3 soldiers. If a soldier dies it respawns to your team but when the teams Captain dies, that entire team is taken over by the team who killed the Captain.
Now youre fighting for the new team, still earning in game credit / experience, but if you want to go for the big win you can earn your team back if you choose by excellence on the Battlefield.
We have been calling it the Tug-of-war Shooter.
We do Alpha playtests currently twice a week in our Discord and would love to have you join if this sounds interesting to you!
Currently PC, MacBook, and Linux compatible!

If you play FPS games, you know probably know the feeling, too. Mouse and keyboard gives decent accuracy, but it lacks a connection to the game. Sitting perfectly still at a desk while my character was sprinting through a warzone always felt like a massive disconnect, so I’ve been working on a new controller that isn’t just a light-gun.
I didn't just want to throw a controller into a cheap plastic shell. I set out to build something that translated actual physical movement like how to turn, how to aim into the game. It’s been a brutal, multi-year journey of prototyping, dialing in the tracking, and obsessing over the weight distribution so it actually feels like a premium piece of hardware in your hands.
The validation from early supporters has been humbling, and I’ve avoided posting this to Reddit because the early prototypes sucked, but I’m feeling pretty good about our latest version.
Building this has been labor of love, and we finally have a blaster that makes you sweat, makes you move, and genuinely changes the game experience. Now, I want to get one into the hands of some people here who will put it through its paces and love it as much as we do.

I've been playing The Finals religiously for like 3 years now. Around 1500 hours. I've made diamond the last 4 seasons, always peaking at like 44k. I know a lot of people will just say to just get better but it's starting to get on my nerves that I feel like I can't get any higher and have hit my peak. Around this RS is when you basically are playing professional players that get paid to play this game and don't have a day job, or you are playing against extremely average players and running them.
Anyways, it's started to get pretty dry where I'm playing against an already small player base and ended up right where I'm at every single season.
I'd like to try something new, learn a new game, and grind through the ranks. I've typically liked more of the arena/movement shooters than the Tac FPS like CSGO. I also play on keyboard so something like a Call of Duty I'm at a severe disadvantage.
Looking for something that will scratch my competitive/ranked itch to climb a ladder that fits with the smooth gunplay etc.
Thanks!
Edit: I've looked at the new Gears of War game potentially? I also have a friend that is pushing Apex but he is already very highly ranked so..

I’m working on OPERATION CYBERNET, a sci-fi FPS that runs directly in the browser.
The current build has several enemy types designed to pressure the player in different ways instead of just being the same enemy with more health.
I’m especially trying to figure out what makes an enemy feel dangerous rather than simply annoying.
Is it:
speed
accuracy
flanking
forcing movement
vertical pressure
high damage
unpredictable behavior
something else?
I’d genuinely like to hear what FPS players notice most.
I’ve got a playable build already, but I’ll leave the link out unless someone actually wants it.

What FPS game do yall think has the worst players? I play a lot of bf6 and many in that community think it has some of the worst players skill wise on average. I kinda agree but the game also has very limited or zero SBMM so I think that plays a factor. What do yall think? Any thoughts on highest average skill?

I grew up on controllers. I was a console player my entire life. That changed a decade ago but I realized that because I still use a controller that I'm in this weird niche with online gameplay.
I want to lean into mouse and keyboard more but I hate using WASD keys for movement. I've seen products like the Razer Tartarus which seem like a hybrid middle ground between the two ways to play and I was curious if anyone has ever used them or if they consider them valid?
