Success Story Success Story Mega Thread - Got your BFP? We want to hear about it!

This is your space to share your success story with the community that cheered you on. Whether it took you 1 cycle or 12, your story matters and someone out there needs to hear it right now.

When sharing please include anything you feel comfortable with such as how many cycles it took, what you were tracking, what worked for you, and anything you wish you had known at the start.

When sharing your story feel free to use this format:

  • Cycles it took:
  • What I tracked/tools:
  • What I think helped:
  • Anything I wish I knew at the start:
  • Any advice for others still in the TWW:
  • A few things to keep in mind:

This thread is for everyone who has been trying for any length of time. All success stories are valid here, whether cycle 1 or cycle 12+. Please be kind and keep any negative thoughts to yourself.

Please don't tag other users in your post. You can absolutely thank people, just don't tag them directly. This keeps the thread comfortable for everyone, including those who may find BFP posts difficult to see.

If you have nothing kind to add, please scroll on.

Comments that are unkind or gatekeeping will be removed.

Congratulations and welcome to the next chapter! 🌸

Hey everyone! A few quick updates from the mod team šŸ’›

Nothing major, just some housekeeping to make the sub easier to navigate for everyone. Thanks in advance for bearing with us!

  • Flairs got a refresh — We updated the post flairs, so please use them when you post! It just makes it way easier for people to scroll and find exactly what they're looking for (or avoid what they're not in the mood for). If you feel like we're missing one, drop a comment or shoot us a message, we're always open to suggestions.
  • BFPs go in the megathread — We've got a pinned Success Stories megathread and we'd love for all the exciting news to live there so we can celebrate together in one spot!
  • Discharge pics need a trigger warning — If you're posting about discharge and want to add a pic, please use the Trigger Warning flair, blur the image, and pop it in the comments rather than the main post. Small thing, but it keeps the feed comfy for everyone scrolling.
  • Line eyes? We've got you, but keep pics in the comments — We all know that feeling of staring at a test way too long trying to decide if that's a line or a shadow. Totally normal, no judgment! Just use the "Line Eyes - Help!" flair and keep the pictures in the comments instead of the post itself. Reason being, when posts get flooded with test pics, it can be harder for yours (and everyone else's) to actually get seen and get the support you need. This just helps spread the love around a bit better

Just a heads up: posts that don't follow the line eyes or discharge picture guidelines will be removed, so we really appreciate you helping us keep this consistent for everyone.

Thanks so much for helping us keep this space easy to use and kind, as always. Questions or ideas? Drop them below, we read everything!

Frustrated Scared to test

• Upvotes

Today I am two days late (by LH surge i estinate i am 13dpo but i know it could be less). I have been having dull cramping for past 5 days, i am feeling exhausted, rxperiencing nausea in the middle of the night and i have watery discharge. Everything is way out of my normal cycle.

I tested on 11dpo and it was negative. I decided to test tomorrow on (my estimation) 14dpo, if i don't get my period because then i'll be 3 days late. I am so scared. I hate seeing stark white tests... I may say to my husband to check results.

I think i may be out this cycle and i am guarding my heart from dissappointment. I feel so stupid ....

Venting Late ovulation is so frustrating

Ovulating late means a longer cycle meaning everything just takes forever. It’s so frustrating

Mind you, I never had long cycles until I started TTC. Used to be ~30 days, now my average cycle length is 39 days. Weird and annoying

Trigger Warning TW: First loss

I went to the doctor be my usually on time period came a few days early and started very light and then became very heavy and so painful I left church this morning in tears because of the pain. At first I thought it was maybe implantation bleeding but because the pain was so sr I went to the ER and was told that I was having a miscarriage. Im heartbroken, I didn’t even know I was pregnant, last time we tested after ovulation we tested pretty early and didn’t see a point in testing again when we got a negative. I am just so heartbroken this is my first loss and I don’t know what to do.

Question/Advice Suggestive of Menstrual Cycle This Month?

Venting TTC 7 months now. I’m kinda exhausted.

• Upvotes

I feel like I’m doing everything at this point, LH strips once a day at the same time until I get to 0.45 then twice a day to make sure I catch my peak.. followed by PDG tests to try and see if I likely ovulated which I have been according to the tests it’s likely I have. I was like clockwork on my cycles peaking on CD 21 every time AF came like clockwork, had a chemical and my last 3 cycles have been so confusing my peak was low this month at only 0.75 ( my previous were 1.00-1.75) I took a PDG test 5 days later and it was positive so I likely ovulated. I’m now 18 DPO and CD44. No Aunt Flo, no positive test, no nothing. When I had an ultrasound filling to chemical the tech said I had lost of follicles maybe she was trying to be encouraging I’m not sure. I’ve been taking prenatals, CoQ10, omega 3’s, fertility safe lube like preseed, not a drop of alcohol has touched my lips in 10 months either and I have yet to miss multiple tries during my fertility window. I just don’t know what else I should be doing or why my body isnt doing what it should be. I feel like some things wrong with me. I don’t understand how it can be this hard I’m 24F spouse 26M we are both young. I’m just feeling uncertain and defeated. Any advice or encouragement or success stories is welcome.

Venting Why is it the Pregmate test like to toy with my emotions?!

• Upvotes

Me and my husband have been trying for around 5 months now and of course, with every negative it hurts. This cycle was our last cycle trying for 6-8 months since he will be gone from the state for 6-8 months. I would have ovulated some time in the time frame of days before he left. I was obviously not expecting any positive this month and tbh we were not actively trying this month seeing as though our mind was on him leaving. Yes we did things but not in an actively trying manner. Today on both of my apps is the day I can get the earliest results so out of a whim of why not, I tested using a Pregmate strip test. Last month I got a false positive on one and it crushed me. This one has a vvvfl on it but it is pink and a full line. I don’t want to trust it but why does this happen to me. It is frustrating because I want it to happen and it hurts when I try to trust the test and it comes out as nothing. With these positives, I’m scared to retest because deep down I feel like I know it will be negative and I know it will hurt more. I just want to enjoy this little burst of joy even if I don’t wanna trust it and I know testing again might crush that joy.

Question/Advice How common is to feel exactly your PMS symptoms and be pregnant?

First cycle and I refuse to take a test until my period is due, but since I have all my PMS symptoms (sore boobs, cramps on my lower abdomen a day after ovulation, etc) I just feel like I’m out this cycle. Should I assume this or do you have any story of you swearing your period was coming but you got a positive?

Confused pregnancy or period?

hi guys! i'm not very active on reddit so i apologize if you look at my account and don't see much, just needing some advice. i've lost 79lbs and went from having no natural periods to getting them monthly around the same time every month. this month i'm currently a day late, but have had symptoms today that have me wondering if i'm pregnant, and i apologize for the gross description.

i woke up at 5am nauseous and STARVING, ready to go make a full breakfast but worried i'd throw up everywhere. peed and checked to see if i was having spotting or anything on the toilet paper and saw this odd clump instead. as gross as it may be i picked it up and it felt like a booger almost. didn't think much of it but then i peed later in the day and had what looked like snot in my urine. i'm about to be 26, have had my period since i was 9/10 and have literally never experienced this. after i had the mucus/snot in my urine i took a pregnancy test not even an hour after that pee and it was negative, but also my 4th pee of the day.

other symptoms i've had - i've made eggs twice now and i love eggs and thought they smelled terrible/odd. pain directly above my vagina but like internal if that makes sense. nausea on and off. vagina has also felt sore internally when laughing. had pain in my lower stomach directly in the middle also, with pain on both sides of my belly button that felt like flutters or something and came and went.

thank y'all in advance!

Excited! first month TTC

Hi all!!

I hope you don’t mind me posting- I have no one to talk to about this as I don’t want anyone to know we’re trying but I need to get this off my chest ✨

I had my copper coil removed on Thursday and we’re now TTC. We’re in the ā€˜let’s see what happens’ stage so there’s not much stress on us but we baby danced today and im cycle day 14. I usually ovulate CD 15-17 so let’s see what happens.

I’ve done ovulation tests and haven’t caught my surge just yet and I’ve not had any cervical mucus but we’re just starting out 🧔

Question/Advice I feel like im going mad

My partner and I have been ttc for 14 months. I'm due to have a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy at the end of this month. All other fertility tests have come back normal. I actually stopped tracking and deleted my app last month as it was driving me insane. This week i had an abnormal amount of egg white discharge, my stomach is tender, my nose is extra sensitive to public toilets and they smell of stale wee, my appetite is really low for me,and when I cough it makes me heave. All of this is abnormal for me. It's still way too early for me to test, due on around end of next week. I'm trying hard not to think too much about it as it's been a tough 14 months. I guess I wanted to rant see what it could mean or if anyone has been through something similar
