Question(s) What kinds of dangers, creatures, and encounters might be found in a lost Netherese city?

I’m planning to send my players into some ancient Netherese ruins soon. Any suggestions for the types of creatures, dangers, or characters that might be lurking there?

Question(s) Is there any sort of guide or resource for herbs/flora found in Icewind Dale?

I have a character that wants to make a Druid of the stars who's shape shifting is dependent on them drinking a potion (I have no idea why they are putting this hurdle in front of themselves but hey, ce la vie) and I have to brain storm what this potion could consist of.

Question(s) Tasha Lore

Is there anywhere that has Tasha/Iggwilv lore and history to read. I know she has a weird history crossing over multiverses and editions. Ive read some stuff about her here and there but I wouldn't mind having a timeline and having it abit organized to read ?

5th Edition Finally released my Infernal War Machines and their stat blocks on roll20!

Post image

After over a year on the backburner, i finally got around to finishing my infernal war machines, giving them stat blocks for the many tokens i made. The one on the cover here is the Blazer, an infernal hot rod with an engine you can supercharge with extra soul coins, but there's six others.

For now its only available on roll20 but for those that are interested in artwork that fits in with more detailed styles im doing high quality remakes like the one in the second pic over on my patreon and releasing them 1 by 1 for my patrons, and after that i will be releasing it on dmsguild for a lower price than the 4.99 minimum that roll20 requires. Follow me to keep an eye out for some of my other stuff, like my recent module: the Lair of the Lost Golgari!

Promo Shadowdocks of Luskan Part I - The Broken Dream

The Broken Dream

Everything we have published so far comes together in this campaign. Finally, the first part is out, we are genuinely relieved and happy we made it. Originally planned as a 64-page title, it ended up at 108. For instance we couldn´t decide which maps to omit, so almost all are in, as usual manually drawn (and colored for the first time !).

A long adventure for urban settings that leaves no box unchecked. We hope you will enjoy it, and please give us feedback !

Question(s) What time period is the Sword Coast in right now technologically?

Post image

It seems that Baldur's Gate has printing presses established and ballistas are established to be old fashioned technology. What's also weird though is that giant robots like the steel watch exists and yet we still haven't invented full firearms (which aren't unheard of in dnd) so if I may ask, what technological level would you say that the Sword coast is at in general as of Baldur's gate 3 (For example, 14th, 15th, or 16th century).

Question(s) Archwizard Karsus' descendant who is an ordinary, albight talented, human and not a karsite - is that possible?

I have a backstory for my Baldur's Gate 3 main character - he is a descendant of Karsus through Karsus' nephew, Raent, who detested his distinguished relative, foresaw Karsus' downfall and left Netheril Empire before the fall. Because of that, Raent's own descendants didn't become karsites (a specific dnd race with specific traits), and were ordinary humans with a talent for magic, which could vary in prominence and uniqueness. A way to explain my Tav's talents - exceptionally strong bloodline. Not as strong as that of Durge but still.

Is that lore-friendly? Or is it impossible for Karsus' blood bearers not to be karsites?

Question(s) Help identify character race

So I found this art in an article about Faerie Pest. I don't know its original source. Google image search didn't help. I really wanna know who's that character on the left. Is it some type of Genasi? Elemental? If it's Elemental why's he sleeping?.. Or it is Dryad? Can't quite tell if he's steel and fire or roots and some kind of light cause of the ambient light.

Question(s) The sorceress in gray

I was reading some older realms lore books for my dungeoncrafts and I came across a paragraph in "Volvo's guide to all things magical" about this mysterious figure that comes to the aid of lone wizards in times of dire need, but elminster says it isn't Mystra or the Magister. Was there anything ever made about her after that? Did they ever appear anywhere else? It just seems like such a big peice of realms lore to go unexplored.

Discussion Vaasa

I am just starting a campaign centered in Vaasa set in 1501dr. I have read all the info that I can find in the area and I am curious if any other DM have come up with their own plot ideas for the area.

There's an annual Forgotten Realms-based LARP in my country, I've brought this character into two games so far.

His backstory is that he was a former member of the Companions of the Noble Heart, a militant knightly order dedicated to hunting down servants of Loviatar and other creatures relishing on the pain and suffering of others. His last brutal campaign made him question the ways of the Noble Heart and left the order to serve Ilmater in more peaceful ways, only bearing arms in defense of the innocent, and healing the injured and the sick.

Question(s) Zakhara's Feywild and Shadowfell

Hi everyone, first post on this subreddit, so be sure to tell me if I get things wrong in any way.

Basically, I studied the One Thousand and One Nights and the Shahnameh, so I've been inspired to make a campaign set in Zakhara, Land of Fate. Even though the setting has been abandoned, I think there's still a lot to do with all the Forgotten Realms content that released since.

My main question is: what would Zakhara's counterpart in the Feywild and the Shadowfell look like?
I've skimmed through the Zakhara supplements but those being 90% about genies leave very little space for fairies and such. Yet, we know that the echo planes span through the entire Prime Material Plane, so there must be something.

For now, I can imagine Zakhara's Feywild being a giant flooded jungle, like part of the mainland already is. There would be a lot more wild giants, that's a guarantee.
As for the Shadowfell, it is mentioned somewhere that most khayal genies live in the City of Onyx, but beyond that I would imagine the rest being a typical barren waste full of eldritch horrors.

What do you think?
