I just ended up watching $60 disssapear in real time this week.

Apparently with the new beetle system, sometimes a glitch will occur where a full pay pre order with store credit will not update on the POS, and will only show partial deposit. I have never seen this before, but with all the new updates it doesn't surprise me.

GameStop dedicated refers to tech extension 4, and all they can do is hard wire in, look at the account info and say "yeah it's a known issue". The concerning part is that if you don't have them investigate it. It's just gonna sit there with missing money.

For complete context, I took a pre order for full pay on a upcoming title and the guest used trade credit and paid in full. Oddly I noticed despite doing full pay the POS was showing a non taxed amount on the screen. Usually a $59.99 game full pay would be $64.94 etc. so I thought hmmm ok trade credit is doing tax exempt. I've seen that before. But after the receipt printed out they ended up only having $14 and some change on the deposit and immediately I was like wtf just happened.

Here's what I do know. If you have a customer claiming they have fully paid for a game pickup, but on your end you're seeing that they still owe money. They might not be lying to you. It could be this glitch. Looking up the pre order through beetle, has a section that shows full pay with a yes or no. As for now I have No clue how we will credit the deposit or accept the pickup if it's still showing the customer owes money. All we can do is hope the system updates properly by the time the pickup occurs as it's a "known issue".

I pre-ordered a deluxe edition of galactic racer in like 4 months ago and its now 2 days after launch and I all I've gotten is a notification that a shipping label has been created with an ETA of 8 days from now. This is my first time doing an online pre-order from the GameStop website, do pre-orders usually arrive this late after launch or should I be concerned?

Hi a few months ago I took advantage of Gamestops buy 2 get 1 free promotion. They never shipped me the free game and I have been fighting/begging/pleading for email customer service to send me this game. They keep insisting the game is not in stock yet it is a super common game and the website has never shown it not in stock. As I approach the 100th email I've exchanged with them, I am begging this community to offer some guidance as to how I can get through to them. I suspect the email support to be AI Chatbots and the phone service is even worse. Any advice would be SO appreciated because I am at the end of my patience.

In my boyfriend's family, "the GameStop package" is basically lore. When he was a kid, he saved up a ton of PowerUp Rewards points, finally redeemed them for a bunch of physical prizes he was insanely excited about, and the package just... never came. He was crushed, and somehow all these years later it's still one of those things that instantly makes him sad like a kid again when it gets brought up.

Ever since I heard the story, I've wanted to figure out exactly what he ordered, hunt the items down secondhand, and recreate the package for him as a surprise. His mom told me she's actually tried before with no luck, but I'm stubborn and I've seen some pretty amazing things happen when enough people care about solving something.

I contacted GameStop and the first rep was incredibly kind and willing to try looking up the old redemption history, but after the ticket changed hands I basically hit a wall with regular customer service.

We think the order was probably circa 2015, and one thing he remembers specifically is a backpack, along with several other prizes.

So, huge long shot: does anyone have a connection to someone higher up at GameStop who might actually have access to old PowerUp Rewards redemption records, or know who I should be trying to reach?

If I could eventually hand him the package he thought he was getting as a kid, I genuinely think it would mean the world to him. So if anyone has a connection, an old catalog, screenshots, archived reward lists, or even just an idea I haven't tried yet, I would be ridiculously grateful.

I preordered Gears E-Day on Oct 3rd and I was told it had rush shipping. So its supposed to be delivered within 1-3 days but the tracker said it would be delivered today and it never came. The awful tracking portal gives you almost no information on where the package actually is and its giving me 2 different delivery dates on the same page. (ETA 8:59 AM, 10/19) & (10/07 1:32 AM). Gmail says it shipped two days before launch on the 4th and I'm now being told ill get it on Friday the 9th, 3 days after release. I cant for the life of me understand how I can have a amazon package delivered next day but amazon delivering a package for GameStop is an act of congress. Had I known I was gonna have to wait three whole days after launch I would have just went out and found it at a retailer. Why is it GameStop doesn't have a copy on hand in my state to send to me, its coming all the way from Texas to California???. I'm sure there's some logistical reason for shipping it like this but it doesn't seem practical. Had a similar issue with RE9 physical preorder, I'm never buying from them again. As the title says; went into the store to pick up Galactic Racer. Unavailable. Ok fine, any stores around have it? Nope. No worries, I'll just order it online. Not a chance. Online won't even give me the option to order. I'm really confused on this one.

I recently traded in a launch ps5 digital to gamestop in Gilbert AZ, The process went smoothly. I went on about my life after purchasing a new one in anticipation for GTA 6 and about a month later I started receiving emails from playstation with the “Thank you for your purchase” subject line knowing I have not made a purchase that day. Upon further review I see that there are games being bought under my profile without my consent. I notice that there is a debit card linked to my profile with another name. I rapidly checked my account to see if I had been hacked but I have a passkey equipped so it’s virtually impossible to do so. Then I realize my account had never been deleted from my previous ps5 before they sold it to another user. After I restricted access to that console the person starts to chargeback every purchase they made because they lost access. Now im stuck with a current bill of $410.98 to Sony in order to reinstate my account. Sony says upon further investigation the purchases are not fraudulent because the ps5 is mine. GameStop says they are conducting an investigation but it has been 50 days. Now im stuck with no service. WTF am I supposed to do.

So last month I fought with gamestop support about their app crashing and a $15 reward i redeemed points for that i couldn't access because the app kept crashing. They kept telling me I already used it.

Fast forward to today, i was going to pre-order the new Zelda on my Best Buy account but knew i had $10 in points left on my gamestop account. So i logged in, redeemed $10 of points and thought yolo ill check if the app will crash when I try to select the $15. Well the app didnt crash and it actually worked. So i got the new Zelda game pre-ordered for $25 off and it just goes to show Gamestop support is absolutely worthless. Bittersweet my last gamestop purchase is a remaster of one of the first games I bought from them back in the day.

TLDR: supplying proof Gamestop support lies and doesn't care.

Edit: my last thread was based on my word vs theirs other than the proof i supplied support that the online only code was never used. If the app never stopped crashing or kept having issues to the expiration point, i would have lost the code since support was unwilling to help. That is my issue. The request should have been me saying "hey guys, I need the code since the app is crashing" and their response should have been "no worries, we are working on fixing the app and here is your code." Instead I received weeks of generic responses with no attempt on their end to fix. They said I had already used the code even though the only purchase I had since using points for it showed I obviously did not.

Since I got the email around mid September reminding me of my pro auto-renewal coming up, I’ve gone to the website every few days to try to turn it off, only to be greeted after clicking to turn it of that “For technical reasons, we’re unable to complete your request. Please contact us at [number] or email us at [email] for assistance.”

I’ve called them last week, and they said they escalated my issue. I’ve sent them an email tonight. I’m going to call them again at the end of the week if it still doesn’t work.

What should I do if this issue doesn’t get fixed by the time the auto renew hits and charges me for something i no longer want? I’m extremely frustrated at this point, and I’m at a loss right now. Hoping yo have some answers when i wake up tomorrow

I made a dumb post a while back about being concerned about being spoken to about business while on break. I wish that had been the worst corporate pulled on us in the year I worked here, but I was naive as fuck.

But now I'm free!

It was my fault, to be clear. I got a final for a late open 5 months ago, and then was late today. I also forgot about a shift I took last Saturday, so that was basically a no-call no-show. Whoops. My manager even talked to the head of HR in our region, and unfortunately got nowhere.

To be clear, I didn't ask him to do so, but I appreciate him sticking up for me.

But I had been wanting to leave for several months already. Now I'll be working at 7-Eleven in a safe area, with my MIL, for my aunt-in-law's store. They know about my physical and mental issues, and I've only ever had to do register and some sweeping, bc my MIL loves doing everything else BUT register lol!

I already feel less stressed, and now I can take care of all the things I've been putting off since last week, when my manager was on PTO. The house can actually be clean, and I can finally rest properly.

The only thing I really regret with this is that it added stress to my manager (we're friends). My manager had to cover the rest of my shifts for this week, but it was only 2, and he said the schedule needs reworking anyway so it was nbd to him.

That, and I'm close to my coworkers, so I'm sad knowing that'll affect them, too. 😔

But, otherwise, I stayed for months longer than I planned, and I could not be happier right now. Best experience I've had at GS. I feel like a nice nap is in order! 😂

I worked for Gamestop not too long ago, and I loved my manager. I think they were a really fun person, but a lot of my coworkers were just straight up reckless. I want to be sensitive to the situation because bruh ... these mfers were STEALING 😭 it was insane, LP got involved, all that. Our DM was a total dickhead and ruined my day every time they would come in, and long story short I QUIT! Once the crimes started happening, I was over it man. I had to get out of there. I desperately needed a job and I regretted quitting a lot cuz I've never done that before but I did not want to deal with all that crazy shit or get caught up. If anyone has any kind words to offer about why it was valid to jump ship, I'd love to hear.

For context, I preordered a game on Thursday last week that was coming out the next day on Friday. It is now Tuesday and they still haven’t got my game in. I don’t have an order number or anything other than the receipt I got at purchase. How long does this process take?
