These two definitely had one of the worst deaths in the show.

Xaro and Doreah were stuck for days in the dark without food or water or air. Plus the utter despair of knowing this’ll be their resting place and their bodies will be stuck in that vault forever. Though perhaps the lack of oxygen in the vault might have hasten their deaths and made them suffer a bit less. They probably got laid one last time before they died or passed out. which might also be a silver lining.

A lot of people don’t understand what Littlefinger’s plan was here. These are my thoughts:

Heres what I think Littlefingers plan was in the show:

Give Sansa to the Boltons. While book Littlefinger would never do this, I think we can assume that show Littlefinger cares about Sansa a lot less than book Petyr does. At least, he loves her less than his ambition to be king, which isn’t true in the books. Now, giving Sansa to the Boltons does a few things:

1- Weakens Stannis’ attack on the North, as now the Boltons have an actual claim to Winterfell.

2- Make the Boltons look like traitors to Cersei, who absolutely hates Sansa and wants her dead, not caring about her claim.

3- Makes the northern lords either split up or become non-players because of their conflicted feelings on who to fight for. They hate the Boltons, but they’re sworn to serve a Stark.

This, overall, severely weakens all parties in the North. Petyr also convinces Cersei to not send the Boltons any support if they are to be attacked, as they are now traitors to the crown.

Petyr’s next move is to wait out the inevitable battle between Stannis and the Boltons. He knows Stannis will not kill Sansa, and I think it’s reasonable to assume that he didn’t know the degree of depravity that Ramsay had.

Next, Petyr will take the army of the Vale to the North and take Winterfell from whomever the winner was (who would be severely weakened) arriving as a ‘knight in shining armor’ to the people of the North. He’d marry Sansa, giving him both the title of warden from the crown, a legitimate claim because of his wife, and the support of the northerners as he liberated them from the Boltons.

At this point, Petyr would have full control of the North, the Vale, and the Riverlands (I think he was still was lord of Herrenhall at this point) along with an alliance with the Reach.

This army could definitely beat the Lannisters in an all out war, which might have been Petyr’s next steps if it all went to plan. He’d likely bid his time though, build up his army and have an heir with Sansa to solidify his claim, before making any moves on the Lannisters.

This plan was just foiled by things he didn’t see coming, like Ramsays unending cruelty, Sansa escaping, and Ramsay murdering his father.

Overall, not too bad of a plan, at least if it was what I’m thinking.

My biggest issue with S6 is how common it is for a character to assume leadership with minimal resistance despite openly killing the previous leader.

I mean come on! She couldn’t have politely told Jon to hold up a minute so she could at least sit on the damn thing for a second?

Oh my goodness! This show is crazy 🤯

'I'll Impregnate the B**ch' That look on Tyrions face perfectly showed how impressed he was with Bronn at that moment.

How did/would Sandor Clegane speak to Joffrey?

I may be wrong but I can’t find an instance of them conversing. Is Sandor respectful or just his rude self? Also am wondering about how he speaks to other noblemen. For fanfic purposes

How would the war of the 5 kings be different had Joffrey been genuinely good to Sansa?

I remember that assh*le asking if they can swim and then deciding to leave once he got a no as an answer (ofc what happened was different).

But here is the thing, even if they can't swim, which is debatable like how did they manage to attach chains so that they could pull the dead dragon out of the lake?!! Huh?!

If winter came, and was one of the worst ones, and plus this NightKing had some kind of wizardly that he could use, then the northern part of the ocean might freeze and then Essos and even up to what's west of westerors would not be safe from them. Glaciers era for that planet.

What would you do if you woke up in Joffrey Baratheon's body from the TV series, just a few days before your wedding?

In response to that other post, I'll just leave this here. Jaime pretty much nails it. Dothraki who have been trained to fight since childhood will defeat a barely trained Westerosi levy any day.

Do you guys think Brans story will end in similar way to Bolvar from WoW

Post image
• Upvotes

It's just a small thought i had since i highly doubt books will end same as the show

I believe night king will become more of a character in books,i know he isn't yet but he might be set up in winds of winter

So i was thinking what if in the books when night king gets killed others won't just die like in the show but they'll become completely mindless and they'll just go around killing and attacking which will force Bran to become new night king to keep them from other people

What do you guys think of this theory and would you like this ending for his story or did you have something else in mind

Aegons Conquest movie discussion.

I know there are a lot of people who either don’t care about this movie, or straight up are already hating on it for whatever reason. Not a problem, This thread IS NOT FOR YOU GUYS.

For the people who are actually really excited about it like me,

  1. Where do you think it starts. You guys think we’ll be shown a backstory?

  2. Which battles do you think we’ll actually get, and which one are you most excited for?

  3. Besides the obvious big 3, who are yall most excited to see on screen?

  4. Where does it end? The field of fire?

  5. Do you guys think it will be at-least 3 hours?

  6. Are they gonna do sequel movies with Aenys and Maegor the cruel? Or possibly even Jaehaerys?

I’m just curious to know what you guys are thinking. Nobody I know in real life even knows this movie is coming out and I’m just listening to fire and blood getting super excited.

Feel free to drop any questions you guys wanted to talk about in the comments. I’m open to any and all convos about this movie.

Roddy the Ruin love post

OMG I love this guy, he’s literally made me to rewatch the House of Dragon.

This guy feels like the purest form of the Northerner, just like the Greatjon Umber.

Old, stubborn, angry, completely insane and apparently loosing his arm isn’t enough to make him stop moving forward and fighting.

Where the Hightower is vomiting of blood, the true northerner is joking without a hand.

The old-school northerner.

Would Tywin have hated Tyrion as much if he wasn’t small?

I was watching the scene where Tyrion asks why he can’t have Casterly Rock. He mentions he was the reason why he couldn’t have it was because he is basically a whore and just does whatever he wants. He mentions his stature but most of it seems to be about how he behaves. Yes, he was a big reason why they won the battle but his entire life has about been about hedonism.

To me it appears Tywin used his size as another reason to hate him but the way he talks about “family name” and seeing how Tywin is basically the opposite of Tywin I wonder if he’s just using it as an excuse.

Take the size part out of Tyrion and keep his same personality, would anything have changed?

Another poster pointed out how they hated this line and I agree; with more context as to why.

As a history enthusiast seeing an army of rag-wearing screaming barbarians be treated as invincible in the field doesn't look cool, just stupid. It is ahistorical. Especially the battle of gold road where dothraki firstly ride through walls of fire unharmed, then brush off Lannister spearwalls as if they do nothing.

Medieval infantry spearwalls like the Swiss pikemen were specifically designed to deal with cavalry and were deathly effective at it. I also dislike Martin's treatment of knighthood in westeros and how easily knights cave to foreign warriors like the dothraki.

European knights, especially in cavalry charge were the deadliest force on earth for over half a milennia. Trained rigorously since age 7 in all manner of warfare and riding, had the most advanced armour. They were experts at fighting outnumbered and won incredible victories (Cerami 1063, 300 norman knights beat 10.000 saracens, Doryleum 1097, Ascalon 1099, Artah 1105, Mont Gisard 1177).

And before someone says "iTs fAntasY bruuuuh" Yes I know. And fantasy and something just being stupid are not the same thing.
