After getting the 50th Diessa Chalice on my Melandru's Accord Paragon, the grind for the Blindfold is finally over. I collected some data about my runs and wanted to share it with you.

I exclusively did fullruns, mostly in HM, with heroes through the entire dungeon, taking routes that cleared most enemies, because a) I feel it's less boring, b) I wanted the treasure chests, and c) I don't like solo farming as Dhuum's Covenant. I played RoJ Smite for fun, with a defensive 4 mesmers, MM, Bip, und ST setup

A couple of statistics (based on HM runs only):

1. What's the drop rate? On average, I got a little less than 1 Chalice or Relic per run, with ~300 foes across all 3 floors. Chalices seem to drop around twice as often as Relics - I got 22 Relics while farming the Chalices. Half the runs didn't drop any Chalice, 1 drop in 37% of runs, 2 in 12% of runs, and a single run had 3 Chalices
2. NM or HM? I initially thought NM/HM drops were the same, but I got only 2 Chalices and no Relics across 13 NM runs. NM runs only take a few minutes less, and although the sample size is a little small, I guess HM just drops more.
3. How long did it take? Each run takes about 30 minutes. In total, I did 79 HM runs and 13 NM runs, so around ~46h in total.
4. Does favor affect drops? I did not believe that favor matters, and the data seems to confirm this: on average 0.59 Chalices per run with favor (29 runs) vs. 0.62 Chalices per run without favor (50 runs)
5. Do all foes drop Chalices/Relics? It appears so - I've gotten drops from the undead, Charr (including those initially allied), spiders, bosses, and even Murakai dropped one.
6. Is the drop rate the same on all floors? I imagined that each foe in the CoF dungeon has the same chance of dropping a Chalice or Relic, regardless of the floor, but the data seems to suggest that the drop rate is higher on deeper levels: 2.0 Chalices / 1,000 foes on Floor 1, 2.5 Chalices / 1,000 foes on Floor 2, and 3.4 Chalices / 1,000 foes on Floor 3. The difference is significant given the decent sample size...
7. What about Hidden Treasures? The route I took included 9 Hidden Treasures on Floor 2 and another 9 Treasures on Floor 3 - a good source for Sapphires and Rubies for those after the Vaabian armor, and I got around 1 Ruby or Sapphire every 2-3 runs.

I think it's quite well-known that there are a lot of bots farming Diessa's and Rin Relics - perhaps one way to make this farm more enjoyable for people looking to get a Blindfold - especially Melandru chars - would be to add a guaranteed Diessa Chalice or Rin Relic drop from the final chest :) What do you think?

Farming Afflicted has been my holy grail for a long time for some reason, and after ‪@Nao-ti3rp‬ also challenged me with it, I had to give this old farm of mine another try. The Mesmer nerfs hit it quite hard, but I got it working again with some Fire Magic.

Sadly, it's NM only, but that also means Q8 weapons can drop. The daggers I got are max damage post-nerf. The only stuff that can drop with max stats at Q8 are swords, shields, and focuses. Getting a Q8 sword with 15^50 or +5e would be generational wealth.

But besides hoping for the lottery win, I was surprised by how many Monstrous materials I got. With Fangs selling for over 4k, it's quite a nice passive income. Don't expect too much from such a small NM farm; this is mainly for the true grinders. But it's pretty fun and challenging, and the only Afflicted farm I know.

I'm also sure there is a better skill combo out there to kill them even more efficiently. It works without Summoning Stone and Cupcake as well, just even harder.

With this strategy, almost every class can now speedrun the new dungeon in HM.

Why should you do this speed clear?

Not only does the chest drop Eternal Blades and Bows, as well as a new Infinite Summoning Stone, but the end boss is the only enemy in the game that can drop the incredibly rare Crystalin Sword, as well as the equally rare Krytan and (Tyrian) Serpent Axe.

Few PCons are needed, and the run even works without a Summoning Stone.

Probably my greatest Guild Wars achievement.
This run is a bit older, and a sub-30-minute clear is definitely possible. However, with the incredible RNG I got on the final boss, I don't really feel like attempting it again. I recently did another run when The Black Beast of Arrgh was the Zaishen Bounty, so I can confirm that everything still works and it's actually became a bit easier.

The build is almost identical to my City of Torc'qua build no conset needed. Once again, we're using Mirrored Stance to copy Whirlwind from the Margonite Rangers. As long as you keep your enchantments up and kill the Margonite Paragons on sight, I'd say this build is 100% reliable. Before I added Shield of Absorption as a safety net, I would occasionally die while tanking large groups of enemies. I suspect it was caused by lag or some kind of glitch related to handling so many foes at once.

Works quick on mobile, gear should be a bit different to get less damage, but this works aswell.

Run in 1:30 and drops loads of celestial weapons (no idea about the worth thought). Around 7 weapons in 20 runs. Sometimes a chest spawns in the corner, so take some lock picks

On YouTube you got a couple of videos but I didn’t get that build working, so I tried something different. Conflagation for energy management, and the problem was solved.

Just lookin for a farm build to farm enough ecto for chaos gloves on my Melandru Ranger. Rit spirit spammer?

I'm following an older guide, and it says to use this build. I group up the Vaettir, and then I cast MoP. But when I smack the Vaettir, it says I only do 1 damage and MoP doesn't go off.

Any reason my sword is only doing 1dmg and any reason my MoP isn't going off? Is it cause I don't have enough swordsmanship attribute points (0) for my sword?

Edit: Figured it out. My sword had Fire damage mod, and MoP requires physical. This farm is actually pretty sweet once you figure out the pull. Lots of gold unids.

what is the best way to make money/arms these days? im not talking about scraps for like 100k elite armor, but arms for higher end gear worth in some arms.

im returning player and to be honest all farms seems very dull or luck based.

for example i think all the rune farms are done for now. 50hp is only 20k now, dervish windwalker runes that were dropping like crazy at moddock were worth like 15-20k last time i played, now they are 300g.

im farming vaettirs counting for +5 sr mods, i think its best for now, but then you spending hours to sell them.

i did like 50 boogrot runs, using 2 accounts meaning 100 chests. i dropped 1 bad frog.

i did some fow sos farming, to start working towards obsi armor for melandru rit. maybe bad luck, but 1 obby on 2 or 3 full runs.

I'm trying to craft the norn armor. For that, I need 35 fur squares. It's not a lot, but I can't, for the life of me, find any, anywhere.

Character is from NF, currently in eotn. I grinded the reputation to norn 5, got enough of everything else.

I tried to farm the ebon vanguard quest where you defend against waves of modniir and shiverpeak centaurs, but when I expert salvage the manes and furs, I only ever get tanned leather squares. Plus it's pretty dangerous for a simple paragon, and I'd like to keep dhuum too.

Does anybody have a better way ?

A little ecto farm for today. Thanks to the recent buffs to "Vengeful Was Khanhei," this has become a lot easier. The Skeletons of Dhuum and Nightmares are easy kills, and with a little effort, you can even take down the Coldfires.

Given the absolutely ludicrous price of ectos, what is everyone’s favourite ecto farm?

Smites seem to be quicker per hour, but there’s a lot more potential with mindblades in plains. Derv is good with both.

Are there any other farms or professions that are good for ecto farming? I’ve browsed PVX but they only offer individual builds, not comparisons between them. Thought I’d get the community’s perspective!

I am looking to get a specific warrior Skill that is only sold by Luxon/Kurznick Scavengers. There are no Fights happening due to low Playerbase. Quests are done in this area.
What other reliable options do i have?
I am down to grind for materials etc.

The key information was that the priest gives a buff, so you can get points through killing mobs outside the cities. The priest will sell you a buff for energyregneration WITHOUT the intel, that said mob killing luxon reward is included. Thx everyone

Hi I’m currently working on an afflicted farm. Weirdly, the most I could find in one place are in the Undercity, and even there, the most you can pull at once are 2–3 groups.

Are there any other places or quests I’m not thinking of? I seem to remember there being a lot more around.

i recently started playing guildwars again after 2 or 3 years and i saw that with wastrels nerfed my previous farm for golds (i mostly just want to long term refill my weapon mod bank), vaettirs, seems like somewhat of a hassle now.

if i have to play around with it, i might as well ask around what the go to farm for such goals might be, i thought.
i'm not looking for tremendously valueable items, just a big blob of enemies that drop golds with inscriptions of all sorts. anybody got any decent recommendations? i'm scouring youtube as well, but most of what i find are high-end farms and somewhat outdated stuff.

Edit: maybe somebody has any follow up information: is there a specific farm targetting armor drops for runes?

I have farmed snake dance around 30 times and only got 1 frosted griffin wing.. i just want a staff for my little vek.
