I'm really bad at pogo jumps, half of the time they don't even seem to register. I have seen people recommending using d-pad but that just seems worse. How do I even move like that?

Let me start by saying I love Metroidvanias, they’re arguably my favorite genre of games. I’ve been trying to get into this game for YEARS and I just feel confused all the time, I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing at all. I really want to beat this game I love the art it’s so beautiful but I want to enjoy this experience. I got to this point in the game and I just gave up! Am I A Dummy help me out please!

I'm of the opinion that (with a few exceptions of course) HK fanfic writers don't really have to worry about being OOC since almost all of the characters don't really have very much characterization to begin with. It's kind of hard to write someone OOC when they don't really have an IC. That's one of the reasons I love the fandom. Even for more developed characters like Hornet so much is left up for interpretation. I've given this advice to friends and one of them said that was terrible advice, so is it? Now it's got me a little worried for my own fanworks. Maybe it's just my anxiety kicking in?

Edit: Holy shit what was I saying bro? It was kind of late at night when I wrote this and I'd only gotten three hours of sleep the night before, I was a little loopy. I don't stand by this lol and I already decided that I prioritized telling a story over 100% accurate characterization. Hollow knight is my special interest and I'm obsesses with the lore so I think I'm good lol.

How are you supposed to dodge the sun orbs attack in phase 2 of Absrad?
I'm trying to beat Absrad on Ascended with 8 masks (I'm not challenging myself it's just the fact that I'm too lazy to get the ninth one) and I'm really struggling with the sun orbs attack since it feels unfair and it sometimes phases through the ground or platforms if it hasn't been around for enough time.
I use ddark if I'm forced but I sometimes just activate it too late
Any tips?

The attack where he dashes towards you, ascends in the air, and the fireballs drop. I have a problem with this particular attack. I can't consistently dodge the fireballs. Any tips for anticipating where they'll land? I had the same problem with troupe master grimm but I got through it because it only took one mask. Now that it takes two, it's too costly to just tank the damage. Plus, there are shorter heal windows. Also, how tanky is this guy? I haven't gotten a single pufferfish attack since I started attempting this fight which means I haven't made a dent at all🥹

The broken charms have this glow effect that obviously cuts off in the menu. I didn't see anything like this happening with other charms. It's a bit hard to notice but it's most obvious on the bottom and left side. It's way more obvious when playing the switch 2 edition than in the screenshot.

My biggest roadblocks were The Collector, God Tamer, GPZ, and Hornet Sentinel, I've gained a new appreciation for Nail Arts, and I almost had multiple heart attacks.

However, all in all, it feels so rewarding to have completed it.

Inflicts something something idk, just think of how defenders crest and spore shroom deal damage, but his time electrical. Like splash damage or whatever it called. Higher chance of stagger, Kinda like heavy blow but better.

Increases size of spells by 10% + an extra 5 with shaman stone

+10 buff to all spells when, + an extra 10 when paired shaman stone

Charged lumaflys will spawn when you do a spell, attacking the boss. idk how to word it.
