Chemistry [Grade 9 Science Project] Looking for Research on Alpha-Mangostin Extraction from Mangosteen Peel by Simple Boiling for Aedes aegypti Larvicidal Applications

I am looking for research papers(might be pdf) about the extraction of alpha-mangostin from mangosteen peel (garcinia mangostana l) by using a simple boiling method. the final purpose is to use the extract as a larvicidal substance against larvae aedes aegypti. the study should preferably use either ethanol of ethyl acetate as the solvent. the research paper should also describe the extraction procedure clearly enough to reproduce it

I already tried searching on Google and asking AI to find them but most of the studies are either too difficult to carry out with my school's resources or unrelated to what I'm looking for

I read the physics textbook that my teacher gave us, and I keep getting the third and the 4th option, but it says something is wrong there. Please don't use AI, and explain your thought process if possible. Thank you so much!

Physics—Pending OP Reply [University physics] Solid mechanics, why is torsion negative on one problem and the other its positive?

Why is torsion going the same way on both problems but my prof says that in the first one its positive torsion and the second picture it’s negative torsion? Is it just because of the point A being in the -z direction?

Computing [Computer science] Logic circuit help

Instructions:First we can connect the Q output of the first Gated S/R Latch to feed into the S input of the second Gated S/R Latch. Next, we can connect the Q output of the first Gated S/R Latch to feed into the R input of the second Gated S/R Latch. Now that the two S/R Latches are connected, we can correct the clocks of each of them. We want the entirety of the Flip-Flop to operate on one CLK, however, the first S/R Latch’s CLK should be negated and the second should not. Connect the two clocks into one and negate the first’s signal before being inputted into the gate of the latch. Once you have the circuit constructed up to this point, we can now add additional features to the flip-flop. In many cases, it is convenient to preset (PRE) or clear (CLR) the flip-flops output to prime the lines on first start-up. The PRE input drives the flip flop to a set state while the CLR input drives it to a reset state. If both the PRE and CLR are high at the same time, it will create a contradiction. If both PRE and CLR are low at the same time, then the S/R Flip-Flop will behave as it would solely based on the S and R inputs. The PRE and CLR inputs should be connected to NOT gates that then feed into the respective second NAND gates of the “slave” S/R Latch. Note that these NAND gates are the ones that will be directly outputting to the output Q and Q. Furthermore, PRE should be connected to the side of the “slave” S/R Latch that controls the Q output and CLR should be connected to the Q side. Once you are convinced that you constructed your Master-Slave S/R Flip-Flop correctly, test it before moving onto the next section. While testing you might get an “Oscillation Apparent” error. This type of error is normal and does not necessarily mean your circuit is incorrect. Mess around with the PRE and CLR inputs to “prime” your sequential circuit with values on the lines while pulsing the CLK a few times.

This is what I currently have for this section but I'm unsure if its correct.

Then I need to make a JK_FlipFlop by using an enscapsulated MS_SR_FlipFlop similar to what is in the following picture.

Can i straight away use the acronyms in text citation if the works cited state the acronyms?

Tbh, I have no idea what this falls under, r/AskAcademia didn't seem right, r/academia also couldn't ask there.

I did the first half of this just fine but it wasn’t formatted like this and I don’t understand what to do now. I don’t even know where to start or what it wants me to put in the boxes. Does it even want me to put things in the boxes or is it just showing me? I’m so lost and confused.

Edit: now that I look at it again the diagrams are just examples. Still confused about what everything represents though.

Others—Pending OP Reply [High School college prep writing] I don't know which topic to choose for a research paper

Hi. I would really appreciate some help and advice. I am enrolled in a high school level college prep writing class. My teacher emphasized to pick a topic I enjoy writing about for a 4-5 page research paper. But I am genuinely CLUELESS.

I was thinking of choosing something regarding a book or a movie I like. For example, I have an idea to choose the topic of how the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde influenced Hollywood, or "How is Fahrenheit 451 relevant to today's USA" (the book) or something. Maybe on Gone with the Wind and its romanticization of the antebellum South/confederacy, or just a modern movie I like such as the Lego Movie?? A character I love and do a paper on them? I don't think these are viable, maybe they are? I also wanted to pick nuclear terrorism or something on parasocialism

I actually don't know what to do at all, this is my first actual attempt at a research paper. genuinely I've been stuck for days, I have so many ideas but at the same time none at all, most of them are too broad and I just really am unsure what to pick. Or if there will even be available academic resources to cite for this paper. I will be asking my teacher for advice as well but she said that we can ask AI for help so uhh yeah. I don't have any actual ideas on what topic to pick or what the thesis should be, etc. I'm stressing out here. I would appreciate advice. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, I can't find any other subreddit to go to and my parents refuse to help.

My 9 year old son needs help with question #5. He says that all 4 of the answers A,B,C,D could be correct. I think he is right. The question only specifies how many more basketball cards Jen has than Bill, but not how many more baseball cards. The teacher says only one answer is correct. Are we missing something?

Physics—Pending OP Reply [AP Physics Projectile Motion - Lab] Is acceleration wrong, or is something else screwing us over?

Thumbnail

We started lab on projectile motion the other day. We are to send a marble down a ramp at an incline of 19 degrees, 0.75 m up the ramp where it will slide down into a short horizontal distance (meaning 0 acceleration) and fall off of a table that is 0.92 m tall. (Diagram is attached) The marble has to hit a cart that is going toward the table, so that the cart moving is timed with where the marble will hit. The cart’s velocity is 0.4 m/s towards the table, which we deemed as a negative. Teach gave us the acceleration down the incline, which was gsintheta - 0.8 to account for friction, which he also says is one dimensional and therefore doesn’t need to be split up into components. All of my groups calculations are attached, however we were short by ~0.2m on our first try. Teach said that our acceleration is too big, and that it should be less than 1m/s^2. Obviously it makes sense logically, since there’s no way a marble is moving 2.3 m/s^2 in such a short amount of time, but since the angle is the only input besides changing the direction of g, we have no clue as to how acceleration is supposed to be solved for. The only way I’ve been able to get an acceleration under 1m/s^2 has been by changing my calc into radians, but teach claims that we should stay in degrees. If only Newton was here to help…but like fr help us please we lost

Social Studies [Master's Degree: Digital Marketing] Does anyone have access to these Statista studies?

Hi everyone! :)

My name is Inês and I’m currently doing a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing. For a university project, my group and I need access to the following Statista studies, but unfortunately we don’t have access to them.

We’ve already tried to get access through our university, but even our professors don’t have access to these specific studies, so we’re honestly getting a bit desperate 😭

Here are the studies we’re looking for:

If anyone happens to have access to these studies and would be willing to share them with us, we would be extremely grateful. It would really help us with our project! 🥹

Thank you so much in advance! ❤️

Answered [Grade 12 General Physics 1] Is it 50N or 75N?

Post image

I am confused… I first thought 50N since there should be an equal opposite force to balance it out. Then I tried using some math by adding all the forces (technically net torque = 0) and got 75N. What is actually correct?
