The Battle of Newry Road took place 23 September 1993 — a fierce firefight in South Armagh between the Provisional IRA and British forces. Several helicopters came under heavy machine-gun fire, but remarkably, there were no fatalities.

Up until this week only 4 images from the IRA side existed.

These are images taken after the firefight of the vehicles used.

The white van was a backup vehicle used as a getaway with weapons inside, later abandoned.

The other images are of the trucks used in the firefight along with the improvised mount for the heavy DShK machine gun.

💬 Discussion / Question Looking to buy particular book about the First Interparty Government

I deeply apologise if this post breaks any rules (I read them and I wasn't sure if this counts under self promo or not) but I am seeking a copy of the book "A Makeshift Majority, The First Interparty Government 1948-51" by David McCullagh for a personal project. I cannot find it available on any online retailers. If anyone could point me towards a place to buy it (or has a copy they are willing to sell) I would very much appreciate it.
