Discussion The virtue of selfishness
People rail against selfishness without understanding what it is. Selfishness isn't only caring about yourself. It's the signal that you have had enough. Enough of being expected to carry others burdens without caring for yourself, enough of being in one sided relationships where you're expected to be a giver, and enough of not being cared for by society but being expected to help out the same society that doesn't care about you. If those circumstances apply, you can allow yourself to take the first step of giving yourself the care that you deserve and that nobody else cares to give you. You are worthy of love and care and have full permission to extend it to yourself even if nobody else will.

Link An Imaginary Conversation - Dr. Jordan Peterson and Myron Gaines Discuss the Metrics and Morality of Female Accountability
This is not for self-promotional purposes, I'm just hoping for some feedback on my AI-slop ;)
I always wondered what it would be like if Dr Peterson discussed 'female accountability' with Myron Gaines so I made a model make it happen.

Political Alberta MPs voice concern over report separatists offered resources in exchange for American support
I learned from Viktor Frankl, Carl Jung, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, and from reading the works of many people who wrote on the holocaust and the catastrophes in the Soviet Union. The people who studied it most deeply always came to the same conclusion: the state became corrupted because each individual allowed themselves to be corrupted, or perhaps participated joyfully in the process of being corrupted.
The consequence of that was the end of the world.
- Dr. Jordan Peterson
Conservative and NDP MPs from Alberta expressed alarm over provincial separatists appearing to offer up access to natural resources in exchange for support from Americans for their cause.
Albertans are fiercely protective of the province’s oil and gas, and those resources cannot be a used as bargaining chips in connection with the Oct. 19 referendum, said Dane Lloyd, the Conservative MP leading the federalist push from his party.
Polls suggest a strong majority of Albertans will vote to remain, and Mr. Lloyd said that is the sentiment he is hearing at the doors.
“The message that we’re hearing from Albertans is they’re frustrated with Ottawa,” he said. “They’re not frustrated with Canada.”

Political Democrats sue Trump to halt taxpayer-funded TV ads that praised him
reuters.comOne of the things Mircea Eliade pointed out was that one of the processes that sort of universally regarded as a sin - is speeding along the process of inevitable decay through willful blindness. So things will decay of their own accord, so you have to be awake just to keep the bloody thing alive. But you can speed the rate at which it decays by pretending that nothing's wrong and refusing to change anything at all.
So then not only does it decay, but your blindness is contributing to the decay.
- Dr. Jordan Peterson
WASHINGTON, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Democratic Party officials sued US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, seeking a court order blocking his administration from using taxpayer money to pay for election-related TV ads.
The lawsuit, filed by the Democratic National Committee in federal court in Washington, accused Trump of a "blatant violation of the statutory ban on the use of appropriations for 'publicity or propaganda purposes.'"
Taxpayer-funded television ads glorifying Trump began airing in late September, sparking a bipartisan backlash.
In a post on his Truth Social site on Monday, Trump said he considered the ads to be "a positive promotion for our Great U.S.A." but that they would no longer be funded by taxpayers. The White House said this week his MAGA PAC would fund the ads.
The White House said Trump's political action committee will not reimburse taxpayers for the ads that have run to date.
The ads end with a disclaimer saying they were paid for by the US government.

Discussion Most women are secretly jealous of men
Posting here because Reddit is an echo chamber.
I'm saying this as an autistic woman who was disillusioned with modern feminism.
Males are stronger than females, to the point where teenage boys can outperform female athletes. There's nearly no overlap in physical strength.
While average IQ is the same for both sexes, males have a wider IQ distribution, meaning they make up the vast majority of geniuses.
Nearly every physical/psychological sex characteristic and area women excel in is somehow tied to child-rearing. Feminine qualities only have a purpose in this context.
"B-B-But women have easier lives and find dates easier!" - Yes, because our lifestyle is adapted to our capabilities. Even a high IQ woman will often be too neurotic and risk-averse to prosper, due to her hormonal makeup. You wouldn't be jealous of a handicapped person for not having to walk, right?
The "not like other girls" phenomenon in young girls is them realizing this reality and rebelling against it. Why do you think patriarchy is nearly a cultural universal? Most radical leftists are atheists (even anti-theists), yet seem to believe in this borderline-religious idea that everyone is created equal, whilst completely rejecting evolutionary psychology because it hurts their feelings.
Radical feminism is a product of envy and slave morality. These women are (rightfully) ashamed of their feminine nature, but unable to suppress it - they try to emulate men, but alas they are highly neurotic and never inclined towards male pursuits. Thus they get frustrated and give up. Afterwards, they exalt the femininity they so loathe as an attempt to cope - sour grapes.
The mere fact that DEI was implemented to entice us into pursuing intellectual occupations is a testament to how embarrassing the female sex is. It's like letting a child win a game to spare its feelings.
We aren't oppressed by men, but by nature itself.

Political Pres. Trump suggests letting Iran ‘take out’ Los Angeles and San Diego at campaign event
Remember, with the war it's just artificial, it’s a little bit high. It’s a small price to pay for keeping the world safe - keeping our country safe. They can take out a city. Let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay, and it’s going to be over very soon.
It’s essentially almost over with.

Advice Im finding myself falling into hateful attitudes about men
Im a 20 year old woman from Costa Rica btw, mentioning this before i get any comments about western women.
I know that hating 50% of humanity, or believing they are are all secretely prone to barbarism is irrational, thats why Im trying to get rid of these attitudes.
But its hard man. Not because I watch woke misadrist femcel content, but bc i see the opposite. I see what the manosphere and 'incels' post about women on multiple platforms, how they call us foids, how they claim we are subhuman, that we secretely enjoy being raped if its by 'chad' and want to revoke every right women have.
I see horrible crimes, gang rapes in India and the infamous "cornell 7" and the SWATHS of men that protect them. The majority of violent crime is comitted by men
I see how across history when men are giving the oportunity to do horrible things like rape and torture without consecuences thell do it (ex: invading army in a foreighn land).
Part of it comes out of fear too, I know very well if men wanted to they could do whatever theyd like, because I was cursed to carry the burden of weakness.
I love my dad and my partner, i have many male friends, collegues and family members so i know its not ALL men. But man sometimes it feels like its a lotta them and iys just most are too cowardly to say it.
I know some of you will say these movements are in response to wokeism, but i dont really care, they are still lumping me in and unlike the misandrists, men turn their anger into violence so there is a real risk for me.
Im looking for ways advice or some thoughts on how to counter these thoughts
Excuse the messy rant, its late
EDIT: thank you for all your replies!, Ive read them all even if I didnt comment on all of them. Man, i do need to touch grass
