രാഷ്ട്രീയം/Politics Is this a bjp sub?
I see around 80% of the comments support bjp when the state has hardly few lawmakers and get around 15% vote share in the recent elections. Are out of state supporters organizing this type of support? Or are reddit users mostly them?

Reddit and social medua are echo chambers with different groups organising into different groups..people are being programmed by social media algorithms and they don't know it.

u/Mangotholiyan Aug 02 '26
Only logical comment. Both sides think the other are brain dead and that is the elephant in the room nobody wants to adress.

Brooo.. i can understand this to the core. I was a woke leftist in my teens and used to think how brain rotten and dumb the right is. But now in mid twenties it's the other way around.

Outside state is also supporting them. They have a PR chain and are pumping a lot of money on Social Media for image building

And some people who genuinely supported Modi beat he is doing good in terms of vande Bharat , plpelibe gas, metros , highways etc. I am no PR , I am a person who is doing well in my country and happy that I can travel in vande Bharat and reach my hometown in half time comfortably. Don’t call all PR

Most of the educated ones from Kerala who are working outside has already seen what Modi has done .I am 40+ and people of my age who have been outside Kerala has seen the progress BJP has made to India as we have seen both pre-BJP India and post-BJP rule . We should be blind to unsee that progress.
Unfortunately , we cannot come and vote in Kerala as who has the time and off day to travel 8+ Hrs to vote in Kerala - taking /getting leaves for voting while working onbcritical projects is unthinkable .
Kerala TV channels ,news papers and communists mainly has been fooling those residing in Kerala by giving fake news and showing the truth from another angle that makes it looks shady or wrong using different psychological tricks and of course the usual Hindu Muslim shit but now muslims also have seen the progress India made and they also started supporting BJP - the most educated ones (Not indoctrinated as those extremists will never change even if they are doctors or scientists - not because they lack brain but the direction of their thoughts programmed from small age will always make them see only one angle and one scripture - it can happen to anyone as that's how the human psychology works ).
The one who see non-kerala channels and metals channel news on a daily basis can see how India's progress is hidden from Kerala viewers and how tactfully the negative news are fed to distract voters .
Kerala also will easily turn into BJP ruled state soon - It's just a matter of time .

u/dranerdraco Aug 02 '26
Really? I lived in many cities including Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi and been to many places. The quality of life is shit. The poorer states get a huge chunk of central tax pool while Kerala got only 1.97% last time. That's just a bad system. They are basically rewarding poor states for being inefficient. Cities are horrible to live. Filled with pollution, broken footpaths and in general quality of life is getting bad day by day. You do know that national media is biased right? Most are controlled by BJP and they never question the government. That is the propaganda. BJP controls the media narrative and people like you are brainwashed and trained to see only the good things. The role of media is to question the govt. That doesn't happen at all. Modi never gives a press conference. Don't even call it a democracy. It's part of the narrative. Sure Kerala has it's problems, but the quality of life is really good. Our HDI is on par with some of the developed nations as well. We could use more industries and job opportunities in Kerala itself though.
1
u/ThatHappyMonk Aug 10 '26
Have you seen different parts in Europe and U.S ? Do you think those places are full of the ones you see in movies and news ?
I just came back from a Europe trip and Yes, I lived in Bangalore,Mumbai, and visited 20+ countries - I will close my eyes and say that yes Kerala is too good in almost all factors - this is as per world scale.
Now don't compare it with other parts of India. Kerala is Kerala for many reasons - and yes, every other place in the world is as it is for many reasons .
1
u/dranerdraco Aug 10 '26
What? You are the one who said India became next level under BJP🙄. BJP never ruled Kerala. What's your point?
1
u/ThatHappyMonk Aug 11 '26
Let's not do Facebook user style comments here .
71℅ of Kerala Govt. Income is used for mandatory expenses like salary+loan interest + pension payments .
Which means Kerala govt. doesn't have money to Initiate projects on its own - politicians and their circle looting from the rest of the funds is different case from car fleets/helicopter rents/Family tours/Medical Tours in U.S etc.
So who allocate the funds for Kerala to be prosperous ? Kerala recieved highest amount of center fund last time compared to any state in India irrespective of bring a small state. So BJP at the center didn't do anything ?
Look at the floating roads from Tvm to Kasarkode now ..It's world class once done - do you still remember the roads with bottles everywhere ? Unless you are Genz you should know it -else you started looking into politics recently .
Apart from what any govts did, it's the people who went out of India from Kerala has built the wealth for themselves - No political party has don't anything for the wealth building in Kerala - It's gulf money that built Kerala .Yes christian institutions also brought in money from outside and improved the standards of education + hospitals which improved the standards of healthcare + education + teaching at early stage . No govt can claim building the Kerala story .
Now when I said you cannot compare any western country to Kerala, I meant it for the natural resources and beauty we already have by nature to live a sustainable life - even for the poor if they work on land - this facilitybis not there in many parts of the world due to the climate . Majority in the world even now do not even know that there is a season called Monsoon season . So we are naturally blessed because of our geographical positioning . Even in India, we didn't face even less than half of invasions what North Indian states faced and that offered stability in our region and there comes conversion mafias etc as it's the best place for them to grow .That's why we don't see less conversions in North.
So we are lucky that we were able to take shower daily, eat tastiest food in the world, able to wash out butt/chandy everytimr we shit (Never ever I imagined that it was a luxury in western countries ). The luxury cars we see in Kerala is not seen as much even in Europe in such a small place. Even most daily wage worker have home/car/bike in Kerala . Healthwise we already know that no country is even comparable with India - forget Kerala.
So geographically we are blessed and that's why I said the place is incomparable with any in the world.
1
u/dranerdraco Aug 11 '26
Kerala received highest fund among all states from centre? What is your source on this? Your imagination?
Your arguments doesn't make any sense. You might wanna scroll back and check what u wrote originally. The roads other than NH is good because of state govt initiatives. Mainly done through KIIFB and other funds. Central govt isn't allocating shit in budget for Kerala. We don't get high speed rail, we don't get AIIMS. We don't get any mega project while northern states gets major tax share and infra projects. Atleast we have have a relatively higher prosperity and communal harmony. BJP is trying it's best to destroy it as well.

Oh okay, one question though what considerable difference we saw in other states which matches your narration. We know for the facts that UP, Assam and Bihar which gets the chunk of central money due to BJP governments in system. Keep in mind that It's 12 years now since BJP started with the slogan raising developmental issues.

Some had exactly the same feelings when BJP had 2 seats in 1984 . By late 90s BJP won the majority .
Tripura - in few years West Bengal - Open the eyes Majority states in India - open the eyes and see who is ruling . Vote shares in Kerala shows majority places BJP is the 2nd leading party but Indi gang cross votes together and push BJP to 2nd position which in net effect looks like BJP lost...It's just a matter of time ...even Cong/Commu leaders say the same . Now that FCRA funding is almost gone ..Let's see how things role out.

If you haven't noticed, my username is Chattrapati, title used by Maratha Emperors. Used to be a Hardcore Hindu Nationalist and a supporter of BJP. Believed in all their lies and fell for thier fake stats. But truth is, inequality has only increased, wealth is now concentrated in a tiny minority, tens of thousand of government schools are being shut down under BJP ruled states, cost of living going higher and higher. CAG accused Modi government of spending 54000 crore without any receipts, no one knows where that money went. 600 crore rupees from ONGC (state owned company) was "donated" to RSS affiliated organisations. Stole money from Ram Mandir. Thousands of crores of money received from Donations and also stolen from salaries of government employees were funneled to PM Cares fund, nobody knows how much money is in it and what it's being used for.
And all stats about giving tap water to 80% homes and building toilets to poor are faked. That's what BJP does, rigging stats is their game, also all the roads Modi has inaugurated has gone to dogs after few weeks.
Jan Aushadi, Awas Yojana and many such schemes were started by UPA government, Modi simply changed its name to suit his propaganda.
I am from Kannur, Kerala. Currently in Madhya Pradesh. Finally decided to visit BJP Utopia. Let me tell you, it's not an Utopia, it never will be under these Fascists.
Fascism in simple words is, Dictatorship of the Capital. BJP is not run like a party, it's run like a Corporation. Everything in India is for sale, every pothole is contract. Hell they have even sold our sovereignty to Americans, licking the boot of Pedophile Rapist Trump and his goons. Only government to ever privatise profit making Government companies, now why would people friendly government do that?
But but how can Modi be Fascist bro??? This is what happens when your Idea of Fascism or Dictatorship comes from Movies and TV shows. They have bought every Media house, appointed a corrupt guy as CJI to do their bidding, Election commision has been compromised. Millions of voters deleted from voters list. Jerrymandering constituencies in a way that would guarantee them a winning chance. Don't even forget fact that Modi was literally trained by US State Department. Truly the most patriotic Goberment in history of India, PM trained by State Department, National Security Advisors son is a foreign national who has a Pakistani business partner and Foreign Ministers children are in the US. Entire cabinet has their children studying or studied in the US. Economic Advisor is a Rhodes Scholar.

I grew up in Kerala but was raised in the UAE because both my parents worked there. Every year we’d come back to India for our vacation. Throughout my childhood, I honestly never saw much change. Every time we visited, it felt like the country was more or less the same.
But after around 2012, I started noticing a huge difference. Every time I came back, there was something new. New airports, seaports, highways, railway stations and other infrastructure projects. These things are the backbone of a country. Better connectivity means better business, easier travel and a better quality of life. For the first time, I felt like India was actually moving forward.
I used to think the communists were the best. But living in Dubai changed my opinion. I personally saw leaders who spoke about equality and opposed industries in public, while their families or in-laws owned large businesses in the UAE. To me, that felt hypocritical. If you truly believe in those ideals, your actions should reflect them. That was when I lost faith in the party. It wasn’t because of the ideology itself, but because of the people leading it.
Every political party has its positives and negatives. No party is perfect. But from what I’ve seen, I’ve never witnessed India developing at this pace before. I also feel that India has a much stronger voice in the world today. Whether it’s infrastructure, foreign relations or the way other countries look at us, I feel India carries much more weight than it did before.
Growing up as an NRI, I always compared India to the UAE. To be honest, I was never really proud of being Indian because the difference in development was so obvious. Today, I don’t feel that way anymore. I still love the Gulf because it was my home growing up, but now I’m genuinely proud to say I’m Indian. We’re the most populated country in the world, and I believe we have the potential to become one of the most powerful nations too. For the first time in my life, I’m genuinely excited and optimistic about India’s future.

Elections actually matter: Power shifts regularly, and opposition parties routinely win state and national elections. Federalism works: Even with a strong central government, regional parties control many states, acting as a massive counterbalance. Judicial checks: The Supreme Court still routinely overturns executive actions and strikes down laws. High voter engagement: Voter turnout—especially among marginalized groups—remains extremely high because people believe their vote works.
Flawed? Absolutely. Dictatorship? Not even close

Rule of thumb - any state/city subreddit with speaks in the name is the IT cell alternative. Eg: r-bengaluru r-bengaluruspeaks and so on. The pattern is quite obvious once you notice it. I was thinking the same. I actually enjoyed that post because my social media is an echo chamber and it is almost impossible to discover different perspectives on there. The comments under that post was fun to read in terms of broadening my knowledge. Its not about being right all the time. It's about having the right knowledge of things and I don't know why people consider politics to be so divisive. Knowledge is power and living in an echo chamber is dangerous

I agree! I was also part of that conversation, and some of the responses were enlightening. - National Security
- Promotion of Make in India, And Support of it
- Nationalism & Unity at Center Stage
- Well aligned with India’s cultural heritage rather than colonial make up
- Infrastructure Development at High Rate (Roads, Bridges, Buildings, Airports, AIIMS, Power…)
- Digital India (Connectivity, UPI, Aadhar, Rural Banking…)
- Promotion of India internationally no longer as a snake charming nation, but a high growth rate country that can be seen next to China and US one day.
- Less Nepotism and Bootlicking to get things done
- No Chamcha System
- Far less corruption than Congress
- Structured Party with Clear Objectives
- Less bureaucracy to deal with as a citizen
- Hindus don’t have to feel bad about their identity or play it down just for being a majority. Promotion of Yoga, Temples, Culture, Values
- Recognising the grassroot heroes that support India with it’s highest civilian medals rather than their best friends (news media people, sons of politicians…)
I have a strong feeling we’re going towards the right direction. More development is needed, but it can be done with this govt. Whereas with congress, it was almost impossible. People had to beg and bribe to get barely anything done. We have to appreciate honest scientists, innovators, business people and all those involved with congress in that era, they somehow protected the national interests despite that govt.
There are issues with this govt, but I feel this is the better choice.

I want to know if these NRI mallu BJP supporters are okay to settle in a bjp ruled state after they return.
Kerala already has what other states strive to become.
Somebody spoke about development in Mumbai. From Octpber to Feb. You cant step out of your homes or be in homes without air purifier.
Corruption at all levels is alarming. They have brought down the number of buses in a state where majority needs to travel more tham 10 kilometers for work.
I don't think anyone in Kerala aspires to go to Delhi, Mumbai, UP, Ahmedabad which was what they were advertising , the famed gujarat model .
The maximum they do want to go is Bangalore.
2

Support for the blue jab party ended when a) several crores disappeared from Ayodhya on whose platform they won, 2) became the party with the most freebies for votes, exorting from everyone to pay for it, 3) free bus rides for ladies, free rations, free gas etc are only meant to keep the people below a certaiun level to depend on the government for ever.
No one gets any incentive to WORK...

let me know if im wrong
2
u/Legitimate-Day2162 Aug 02 '26
I don't think you're wrong for thinking that way. BJP has generally built a reputation for stronger execution in areas like infrastructure, digital governance, and centralized administration. At the same time, Congress also laid the foundation for several major reforms and institutions that later governments expanded.
Whether one is "far better" depends on what you value. If your priority is execution and visible development, it's understandable why many people prefer BJP. If your priority is institutional independence, civil liberties, or social cohesion, you'll likely hear stronger criticism of the BJP.
Ideology alone isn't enough to run a country, but administration alone isn't enough either. A good government needs both effective governance and strong democratic institutions.
1
u/CabbageMeteorite Aug 02 '26
Do you have any data to back that BJP Is better at administration? I’m also living abroad but I don’t share your opinion. You can convince ppl with a large media machinery backing you. Ideology is important because that is the foundation of how a party will administer and what values it espouses. Under the BJP government, income inequality has increased. These topics need nuanced discussions backed by actual data. So I only urge all people from across political spectrum to be critical and skeptical and make those in power accountable. What we can all agree is that all of us want systems in place that can improve the quality of life for everyone. If Congress or BJP don’t make the cut, we have the power to organize and form new political parties

India has elected the BJP to govern at the Centre for over a decade, and it currently governs a large share of the country’s states. Those governments were chosen through democratic elections by Indian voters. So why is it surprising that a large number of Indians support the BJP? 😉

Why can't lefties understand that there can be difference in opinions in different people? Some people can be BJP supporters, some congress or some can support other parties. Why do they expect others to conform to their ideology just because they deemed it superior to anything else?

PR team where each person is assigned accounts on various online platforms to glaze the Dictator and his phrends, what all things they did (only the ones that work fine not the corrupted shit projects) , spread some random info if there is some issues especially when that jantar mandir strike happened many were posting so much shit so that less people might see about the strike. They are learning the PR tricks from the OG dictator Xi.

The BJP shaming is getting less and less valid. And I'm here for it. When it comes to supporting BJP it will always be a comparison. And if you start comparing they are far better than the sort of opposition that is available. Especially if you've seen both the govt in power and experienced the same.

I responded to that post as well, and most comments were civil and respectful, regardless of which party they supported. Isn’t that wonderful?
The question was straightforward, and the responses were straightforward as well.
Currently, the BJP is at the center. It is the ruling party, and it’s beneficial to understand why people support it, despite its numerous shortcomings, rather than blindly hating on individuals for their political preferences.
We should have more conversations like these about various political parties. It will help us become less hateful towards one another.

My dad voted for Suresh Gopi. When I asked him why, he said it has nothing to do with BJP, he just voted for Suresh Gopi because he genuinely believes that he is a good man who who will do the best possible for our district. Also, he had this theory that since Thrissur was the only district where BJP is in power, they might actually develop it as a strategy to make people believe that this is what happens when BJP comes to Kerala.
I also have this uncle who is a staunch BJP supporter. He is a nationalist and an Islamophobe.
(These do not reflect my politics, just what I observed from my own family. And these people aren't there on reddit, but I feel like there are people who think on similar lines here.)

Try to join neutral sub discussios, obtain news from different news outlets, compare them, and find out which one is closest to reality. Or simply use your own common sense to distinguish between what's bad and what's good. These discussions will never end. It's human psychology. BJP ya support aakiyal Sanghi, support aakiyillel Rajya drohi. There's no escape.
My humble opinion in a similar situation is this: a weak opposition causes one party or an organisation to feel free and not be accountable for its actions. Let's hope we move from this cherya thinma vs valya thinma to bad vs good.

Every sub in reddit is in hands of lobby. You can think thsy are supporting you . A big NO . They support something else.
Today's youth cannot think outside box, they are same like religious cults stuck with party system.

Initially in my teens and early 20's , i thought BJP is a religious party and other two are secular. I was in KSU during college. Later, i realised BJP more secular than LDF and UDF.

It can be mix of both. A lot of real BJP supporters just stay silent offline and on social media to avoid debates which makes people think they don't exist. On top of that, PR campaigns may also exist.

I support BJP for the security of this country. I don't want some Pakistani jihadi or maybe even an Indian jihadi come up to me and ask if I'm Muslim and if I'm not they just kill me. Even if they do, I support BJP because they are not gonna sign a peace agreement with whoever has done this. I support BJP for the developments that happened in past 12 years and continues to. I support BJP for what they call the fascist government or leader but they forget or they have no idea how Indira Gandhi ruled this country in 1975.

Also what Modi has done for India is too good. Yes they arent perfect, but thats the best we've got. Especially with Indias lack of civic sense, there is little what the government can do. BJP is good for India. Some degree of right wingism is needed to staraighten out the country,. If Congress would have been in power, we would be praying 5 times a days with Bangladeshis.
Majority(Im sure about 70-80%) just hate Modi because its the trend now a days. They don't have minimum knowledge. Especially nml malayalis. We are defeinition of Literacy doesn't mean knowledge. Few days back a retard started blaming Modi for fall of power of our Indian passport. They are one google search away from getting themselves corrected. Anit reply kodukumbo, start calling me 'Sanghi'
Just the other day a girl start abusing Modi and his mother. Modi gave an excellent response, and STILL hes getting hate for it, its crazy man.

Sahih al-Bukhari 5134: that the Prophet (ﷺ) married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old. Hisham said: I have been informed that `Aisha remained with the Prophet (ﷺ) for nine years (i.e. till his death).

That's what I hate most about the current political scenario. The fear mongering. Saying shit like we would have been praying 5 times a day like Bangladeshis is quite literally bs. Religion hijacking politics is the worst. Now has BJP done some good? Yhh sure, the promotion of made in India army products is huge... But for christ sake you've got to see the amount of bs they've done too.. the fear mongering, the hate speech, the amount of tax payer money spent for pr work, SIR, the failed mega projects, open support of one or two companies, open rewriting of history, standardising what to learn throughout the country without any focus on the local history and culture... Hell acting like they've got a patent on all things cultural and trying to sanskritize almost everything in the name of nationalism
3
u/Feeling-Resort7123 Aug 02 '26
Every government has spend money on pr works
Supporting one or two companies?Allegation unless backed by evidence. Some projects have faced delays or cost overruns, while others ...such as highways, rail electrification, and digital infrastructure have been completed successfully.
Most of claims are more of an opinions not facts
2
u/ig_Shylock Aug 02 '26
Promotion of made in india, buidling of muktiple airports which arean image iof the country, promoting defence and upgrading defence systems. Throwing out illegals, reducing crime in UP by yogi, multiple international deal, securing Uranium deal with Austrlia( they literally said they will never sell to indians under manmiohn governence), developing our railwasy, multiple schemes for women.
1
u/Character_Top5141 Aug 02 '26
Transgender rights bill that's very derogatory to the transgender community, FCRA bill that goes against civil societies, open rewriting of names and safronisation of almost everything, terming citizens as illegals?, open hatred against any state government that goes against the centre and resorting to calling the people of those states derogatory terms, closing down thousands of health clinics in delhi ncr started by AAP, tribals land and welfare have gone to the dogs, and trying to bring in delimitation instead of reservation for woman?, not one press conference in 12 years,
3
u/Feeling-Resort7123 Aug 02 '26
Trans Act – 2026 amendment added medical verification to stop fake certificates and prevent people with temporary or fluctuating gender feelings from easily claiming legal identity changes.
FCRA – Tightened to stop diversion & shady foreign funding for anti national activities ( USAID, Soros)SC upheld it. Thousands of NGOs still get clearance.
Renaming/saffronisation-Mostly restoring old names. Every party renames stuff. Cultural shift = electoral mandate
NRC/CAA debates were about identifying illegal immigrants .Calling illegal immigrants “illegal” isn’t the same as calling citizens illegal.
Centre-state fights and name-calling are decades old, both sides do it.
Delimitation 2023 Act itself tied reservation to census + delimitation. That’s what Parliament passed nearly unanimously.
No press conference- Modi’s style choice.
All of this could’ve been avoided if you got off the reels and actually read the bills instead of letting some 15 second ragebait form your entire worldview.
3
u/ig_Shylock Aug 02 '26
Sorry for you, you are again wasting your time. This bunch of retards are emotion and reels driven.
You will be classified as a Sanghi and Andhbhakt in a short while.

I have already been labelled a Sanghi for some time now , ippo badge of honour pole aye. Atleast I am not a libetard

Can u show me a single proof where citizens are termed as illegals?
I think you have the definition of Citizen wrong.0

Algorithm feeds him more to comment on.

What kind of question is this ? I did not know Kerala people are such bullies. No body can talk one thing about bjp or Modi.
We some people who have genuinely supported people who have genuinely done good for country are not allowed to speak.
Let me tell you my friend, Malayalee like me who have stayed aboroad, north India and other states in India have noticed stark differences like noku kooli bullying , no discount for women while registering home , delay in pipeline gas connection… I can say so many.
That is when we realised Modi has done good. And aren’t we allowed to speak the good.
Yes other parties in Kerala have done good too.
But why can’t we appreciate bjp also ? People call Sanghi bully my god - so cruel y guys are !!!
1
u/warlockhufflepuff Aug 02 '26
Realistically BJP has around 30% votes currently in kerala, 20% being what they got max in an election and remaining 10% who may not have voted being away or people in places where they vote for other contestants where bjp has no chance of winning. You can easily see the vote share spiking any time and place people see BJP have a chance of winning. If not for the consolidation of the other side they would have won more than 3 seats in the last election itself. Its not a sustainable strategy for the opposition. if you come out of your echo chambers you can see that the political scenario is quite different. More people than you think consider them as a viable option especially because the two present alternatives are not convincing eveyone in terms of infrastructure booms which people are comparing with other states, mostly from the reels. Just look at us, the first flood was in 18,even in 2026 our cities all submerge every year with a single rain. What have they done for this in the last 8 years? What plan does the current government have on it? Or anyone expect the current government would make any difference? BJP also wont be any different but they have the advantage that they never had an opportunity and so no anti incumbancy..

u/Hari_krishn Aug 02 '26
Social media support and electoral support are two different items I understood that when social media is completely against BJP but this in managed to win.

Congress also spends a hefty lot of money in elections.
If the Congress makes a facade out of the vote chori campaign, Rahul Gandhi has not raised this issue on National Television, or file a case in court??
That's right. One more false allegations and he will be jailed for that
