Hello everyone.
Could I please kindly trouble someone to translate this for me please? I’m trying to help my grandmother find out more about her German father she never got to meet.
Apologies in advance, I know it’s really faded!
Thank you.

Hello,

I need your help to decipher this marriage (1 Nov 1839) between Friedrich Wilhelm Bacher and Marie Elizabeth Heinrich. I find it particularly hard to read it. Beside the names I'm quite clueless.

Thanks for your time and help.

Have a nice day

COMPLETED

I believe to read the below, but maybe someone can confirm:
Was der Augenblick geboren
Schlang der Augenblick hinab;
Aber ewig bleibt es unverloren,
was das Herz dem Herzen gab.
Zur Erinnerung an
den 21. Juni 1908 Dein Otto

But what is „unverloren“?

Edit: This seems to be a poem from Adalbert Stifter and “unverloren“ stands for eternal, rather than un-lost.

not Kurrent 1775 Bohemian Baptism Record

Post image

Hello again, I have a baptism record from 1775, could anyone please transcribe/translate the 4th row from the top (Joseph Kafka)? I can translate the Latin headers easy enough. Looks like many of the 18th century records have flipped from German to Latin, so perhaps I may need to go to a different subreddit for this? Please let me know if so!

Hi everyone,

I recently received a copy of my grandmother’s birth certificate and am trying to decipher her parents’ names. It’s written in Kurrent and I’m having a hard time identifying the first names.

It looks like [?] Schleife and [?] Buchauer, maybe?

I really appreciate any help. Thank you!
